I've been looking for an exercise I can do at home. Then I discovered this video. I did four semesters of fencing (foil/sabre) in college many years ago. These blade work drills are a good home workout! I practice my perry-ripostes, lunges, foot-work, etc. in my living room. There is no fencing club near me for instruction, so I have no one to fence with (besides I'm old, 64). But I can do these drills at home. I have hung up a tennis ball I can poke at to improve my aim and point control. This is giving me exercise and I'm having fun. Thank you!
Am I the only one who thought about the dual on the Cliff of Insanity, when Sammy switched hands? “I’m not left-handed either.” Great form! Creative ideas, thanks!
Another great video. Garage fencing has been my thing lately. I think your director has been giving you good advice, because you have great on camera presence. My idea for you is to change up the height of the tennis ball from time to time to practice high and low targeting. I have also been trying to hang it low and stand close to practice some infighting. I like the target drills. I've also just been doing general footwork patterns. Keep 'em coming!
Thank you for the video.
thanks sammy.
i really need to increase my training hours. thats a good setup for it.
greetings from munich.
