FINALLYYY I BEEN WAITING FOR A GOOD TUTORIAL ON HIDS IVE BEEN DYING TO DO IT. I’m a visual learner so the instructions on forums don’t help. Nice video !
Ray you were right! The 55W 6500 are as bright as a baseball field! I love them though. I definitely won’t be missing any turns at night no more. Nassau Country back roads ain’t got shit on these lights.
Great video!! One of the things I did differently was drill the hole on the cap under the handle tab. Yes its off center but the large tab should help run off any water coming in from the top away from the grommet.
Awesome video ! and i was thinking how to get a white light for my car, so here it is ! i will do it in the next months and send you my results when i am finished :D thanks Ray !
That driver-side is the worst to change bulbs on. I did the pocket under the headlights for mounting location for mine, which means it takes some work to replace the ballasts. If I had to do it again, I would have definitely done it the way you did, it's so much more practical.
Definitely going to check those out. I've been running the ones from azn optics for a while, they last longer than the ones from Wish but not as long as I'd like them to.
Your videos are great. I bought and wired my backup camera by watching your videos as well as the android screen. Car is so much better now. I just ordered the illuminated star as well. Wanted your help on switching out the yellow headlight bulbs with 5k or 6k white ones. Any ideas on how to go about it. Do I need to switch out the high beam and fog light bulbs too so that they’re all the same color? Any tips would help. Thanks.
Raymond Great Goolgly mooglies That is outstanding. Man I cant believe they came out working so good. It amps the safety factor up 1,000 % Also a very Merry Christmas to You, the Mercedes, and of course your family. 🎅🎄
I, too, mounted my HID's ballasts to the wheel hub and just used really short metal screws. The came out on the other side (barely) but then I just grinded the tip down to make it flush. I've had my HID's for 6 months now and have had no problem with anything.
Hey what’s up. Great video. I have a 2017 gle 350. Would this set up work? I’m worried about beam projection and heat issues. I currently have h7 halogen bulbs that totally suck. What is your opinion? Which hid kit would work best
You mentioned you had to adjust your headlight or “balance” them after the HID installation. But how do you do that? Can you post a video showing how to adjust the headlights for a 2009 C300 Sport? Thanks
This helped out quite a bit!!! The only thing that wasnt mentioned was that when you install the new HID bulb, nothing is really holding it in place in the housing like the OEM bulb/clip assembly. It just kinda sits in there and the only thing really holding it in place is the cap and the wires pushing against it. (unless i did something wrong?)
+Keith Henry the factory clip holds it in. The little metal door closes over the Morimoto HID light perfectly. When I opened the clip @15:23 the same one clips it on and holds it nice and snug. If your clip can't clip over your bulb you may want to switch to this HID system. Or carefully manhandle the clip into place
Yeah i tried to take the metal clip that was on the OEM assy and put it on the new bulb but the HID bulb was just a tiny bit too big. I guess ill have to man handle it on there since theres no returning the kit seeing as how it was a christmas present. For reference i have a 2014 c250 sedan and i got the morimoto h7 kit
Raymond Urias yeah I just tried again. There's no way for it to fit in there snugly. I even cut away a little bit of the metal clip so the bulb can fit through it and be flush. It's just not locking into place. Mine doesn't have that clip like yours does
I went with his extra I believe, slim box one wire easy install I did have issue with passenger light pulled the complete housing that holds the bulb from the projector it’s a pain the the ass to get back on
+Onisim Schipor hahaha I knew you were going to call me out on that. I found after testing multiple LEDS the light spray pattern was horrible, it just wouldn't focus lol. The technology is improving every day so who knows maybe one day I will be putting them in there.

How were you able to drill a hole for your ballast? The metal on my 2009 C350 is somewhat thiccc that i can only make a dent. what drill bit/tools did you use?
Hey man I just copped a 2011 Mercedes c300 sport. Man the stock headlights are very dim. I like to have bright lights at night due to some astigmatism on my eyes. Do you still recommend these HIDs or LEDs? the LED market has came a long way. But I would rather have you input. Thanks brother
I noticed you didn’t use the HD relay. I have a 2013 Mercedes C250, do you recommend using it along with the canbus? I’ve reached out to Morimoto and get zero response from them.
Raymond Urias thanks for answering so quick! I love all your videos especially for the Mercedes. Really exited to do all my mods and so glad you made all these detailed videos.
Hi, hey Raymond one question. Can I go to 55w or 75w hid on a w204? I already have installed a kit 35W and so far it's being working for 2 years. Just asking for higher wattage without damaging any electrical components in the car.
When i clicked on the link and put my car it reccomend the led 2 stroke moto is that one good do u know? Every led i have put here in ny or hid i have same problem at night after a month or so feel like they not on or during snow/rain hard to see. Let me know thanks.
The two strokes are very nice typically the two strokes have the high and the low integrated into one bulb . I installed those on my brothers Lincoln Town car and he couldn't be happier they are still as bright as the day I put them in which was well over a year and a half ago
Yes I do they have no effect. Actually pretty cool since the HID is so powerful I can add a tint of color using my Demon eyes and the police don't seem to care.
Nice! Yeah man thats dope Im really looking forward to doing both and all your vids will be my go to I have the exact W204 just White so it really helps. Plus I like your attention to details much props on your vids really spot on. You ever consider doing an HID on Fogs as well?

alwaysup2late I little hands to work in that side of the car lol it's brutal, and God forbid you have to replace the eyelid lights!
haha yea I'm dealing with clicking the "ok" button twice every time I start my car because I'm putting off the eyelid bulbs 😂
alwaysup2late LMAO! well when you replace it use Morimoto 194 LED bulbs they work amazing and no error code

You mentioned you had to adjust your headlight or “balance” them after the HID installation. But how do you do that? Can you post a video showing how to adjust the headlights for a 2009 C300 Sport? Thanks
+javagu Its really easy. I included it in the LED eyelid video. Super important step after installing HIDs
Right now i have 55w gtr lighting 6k cause of aftermarket headlights. Thanks do u recommend 55w 6k gtr lighting or morimoto 35w 5k?
Great HIDs works way better than LEDs on Benz
Hey Raymond, did you have to have anything tweaked in the projector housing to make the HID bulb fit or will it fit just as it is?
thanks for the video how many K6000 ??? or.

Hi Raymond, thanks for your videos. Did your car come with projectors on the low beam or did I miss a video on the topic of retrofitting?
You didn't miss a beat. My car came equipped with projector and halogen bulbs...they were horrible. The HIDs are amazing definitely worth doing
Hey Raymond I have a 2002 c180 w203 and wanted to know which morimoto elite HID I should use because they have different types
I went with his extra I believe, slim box one wire easy install I did have issue with passenger light pulled the complete housing that holds the bulb from the projector it’s a pain the the ass to get back on
+DRamey86 Jesus that sounds like a nightmare. I didn't know that.

how about the MORIMOTO 2STROKE? not satisfied enough?
Hey! Are they better than LED lights in terms of visibility?
In my personal opinion I have tested both and HIDs destroy LEDs
Can you give me the exact link of which ones you buyed?

Please do a video on the fog lights
How were you able to drill a hole for your ballast? The metal on my 2009 C350 is somewhat thiccc that i can only make a dent. what drill bit/tools did you use?
Cobalt at slow speed
Which one u used morimoto 35w and 5k or gtr ultra 35w 5k to aftermarket mercedes projector housing? Which one would be brighter?
I went with the 35 at 5K and it's plenty bright they do have an optional 50w but my concern is heat and it could cause headlight damage
Great video!
