This song is about the passing of Dave's ex-bandmate Cliff Burton. These were strung out years for Dave and Megadeth, so the lyrics are strange at times.

Devin..you need to dive into their catalog, they have so many great songs. Their sound evolved but still found a way to stay true to their roots. Dave always surrounded himself with top-notch musicians.

One of their best songs...but I gotta say, this remastered version is lacking some of that edge from the original. I've noticed that alot with the remastered Megadeth stuff...I prefer the original as it adds to the grittiness of the sound.

First album after drummer died, Gar Samuelson, and Chris Poland was removed or left. Rough one for them, it almost sounded like Jerry Falwell or worse until 1990
I don't usually contradict posts, but if you're referring to Gar passing before SFSGSW was released, that is not correct. Album was released in 1988...Gar passed in1999

As old school heavy metal head that was a teen by 1981 I truly enjoy watching you young people experiencing the greatest music in the world in my opinion. With that said you really need to hear one of the best songs in heavy metal called " Stargazer " by Rainbow with none other than Ronnie James Dio on vocals. He was the best singer in heavy metal hands down in my opinion. Rock on and Godspeed man!
