Agreed, the more I wore this shoe and broke the foam in the better it got. This was the surprise show for me and got it under $90 at the Nike outlet. This not only has become my easy day and long cruiser shoe and even replaced my Epic react 2 as my work shoe (work at a hospital and on my feet walking around 3-5 miles per shift).
I began my relationship the Nike brand this very morning with th Peg 37 for $95. Though not my fav, I regard it as a solid daily trainer. Thanks for the review, this one is on the radar somewhere down the line. So many shoes, so little time 🙂
I saw a sample of the Vomero 16 for 🇨🇦$50 at the Nike Clearance Store. I remembered your review and I just grabbed it and headed to the cash register. Thanks for the review! 👍
Totally agree Ed, I absolutely LOVE my Vomero 15s…such an underrated shoe. Nike finally make a brilliant daily trainer and don’t shout about it from the rooftops….shame! I’m gonna buy a heap more to have in my rotation 😊
Bought it after seeing it discounted to 70€ and it has been a great surprise. It really is one of the best Nike running shoes I have tried. And did changed the insole for the boomerang and it made it close to perfection for my daily runs 👍🏼
I have a fresh pair in the thunder blue , wolf gray and black color way in the box , just waiting for this old spine to heal, glad to hear you enjoy the shoe Edd👍
Ah yes an absolute winner of a shoe and the Thunder Blue colour is my favourite. I guess I need a few more runs in mine to loosen the midsoles up a bit more.
Only just got round to getting them into my rotation and ... hmm... I'm not liking them so much. I'm finding the midsole feels a bit different to every other shoe I've tried and doesn't feel very cushioned which is what I need right now with low HR training. Also the tongue is mega puffy which sounds comfortable but the laces seem to cut right through it so it doesn't end up being very comfortable. I never have trouble with lockdown but I'm also having some issues - might have to go to a runners knot for the first time ever. It's very different overall compared to a previous Vomera (13 I think) I've had which was unremarkable but I think I preferred.
Bang on with your review. I did not like the ride out of the box but once I got some miles in (50) I started to find it loosened up, got more comfortable and springy and the ride improved with every run.
Just picked up a pair of these and on sale in sports direct for £65. I had I think the 12’s a few years ago so looking forward to trying this version out.
Revisiting your old video to say I've fallen in love with vomero as well she's only 16 but love is unconditional.. anyway super comfy shoe actually i really like the retro look i got the black and silver version
A piece of rubber came off on my first day of running in these which really surprised me considering how durable they look. But super comfy and a joy to wear nonetheless
I've been running for the past 7 years in New Balance 997s. I though it was time to give a modern shoe a try, so I picked these up. At first, I hated it. I was losing 10 seconds per kilometer on my runs, and got exhausted a lot quicker. Felt like running on grass. Just losing energy and felt disconnected from the road due to all the cushioning. However, I did notice that I felt better after my runs and the shoe was definitely lighter and more breathable. After running the past month with these I have less knee and back soreness. So, it's been a great shoe. Just don't try to set any PBs. Turn off the running app and just enjoy the ride.
Ordered these in Canada on discount for about $110. Just waiting for them to arrive now. Glad I got good shoe based on just looking reviews and the tech in them.
Thank you Mr. Budz ☺️, seems like Nike can do normal daily trainer. For me- guess to roomy. Now for something completely different: Johnny Marrs first track reminds me of PSB "where the streets have no name" , sound is unusual für nowadays, but i think i like it
Hi Ed. Just ordered a pair from Keller-sport for £72!! Looking forward to finding out just how much of a bargain I’ve got when they arrive from Germany and I get to run in them. Thanks for another great review 👍
Thanks for the review. Just picked up a pair and had more first run today. I love that Nike has gone back to their roots with this shoe. It is a little overpriced but it seems to work for me and it will have the durability, so it seems. This will be my go to shoe over the winter months. 🙏👍💪
Edd Slingless Budd! It does have a strong netball/tennis shoe look to it. Ben Johnson got a pair with a grey /white/ medium blue color way that did look nice,
I bought these from Nike for £70 earth credit, 10.5 UK. I'm using my Nike Pegasus 38 (for £85) at the moment & the back is slightly wearing away! I do like them but I cannot wait to go out and run in vemora.
Great review, nurd question : in some shoes when I run I feel like the heel to forefoot transition is to FAST. This also make a clapping noise (like you clap your hands) when the forefoot hits the ground. Strange feeling but enjoyable! But afterwards my legs hurt.. Did 10k VO2 max run in the Vomero 15. Loved them for being light on the foot and the airbags work very nice but the next day I had to take a day off. Never had a problem like that with RCV2. Is it the higher drop? Narrow midfoot? What increased the velocity of the heel to the forefoot?
Just picked up a pair for $85 from local Hibbett Sports with Memorial Day 25% off. Colorway not as nice as yours but not too bad in grey/royal/black. Will give them a try in the morning.
Johnny Marr is trying something new and yes it doesnt hit the mark but I praise his attempt....now he needs to go back to what makes him energetic and godlike
As I was looking for a more "update" tech than ultraboost, I found these with both zoomX and air zoom so why not. I'm cafe manager and work 8-10hrs a day walking & running at times, and these very comfortable and supportive. Not to mention they were half price, about 68 pounds lol

Would appreciate any suggestions for an alternative.
@@EDDBUD well, not really. That's the difference between Vomero 15 and Vomero 16 of which no one ever talk. Vomero 15 is great for me toebox-wise, but tongue (it's bottom part) is VERY bad designed, so that it makes your feet hurt after few minutes of wearing those shoes. Vomero 16 on the other hand have padded tongue (which is good) and on each sides of the toebox little plastic-like hardened zones on which small reflective tape is added. It sounds like nothing, but I tried both pairs 15s and 16s - difference in toebox is collosal. Those plastic "protection-plastic-something" is making the top of V16 much more narrow and painful for my toes. I tried also bigger number but next after EU47.5 is EU48.5 and that's just waaaay to much - no footlock whatsoever. Cheers

@@EDDBUD I just found there was too much contrast between the very compressive zoom X in the heal and the firmness of the zoom air pockets in the forefoot as I have quite a heavy foot strike. I am really liking my Pegasus Turbos though as I really notice the lack of aches and pains in my legs and joints after quite high mileage. The blend seems to work really well as I do not get the instability issues which I found with the Invincible. I think these will see me through to the much trumpeted release of the Pegasus Pro early next year or even the Strike Fly in March...

I will skip the V16 but I can't wait for the Vomero 17 !
Vomero 16 v Novoblast 2?
Vomero for me. More stable. Better lockdown and less cyberpunk. 👍🏼😊
Thanks for putting the Vomero back on my radar :) How do you think it compares to the Saucony Triumph line? Similar shoe?
Less bulk and more pop in the midsole. 👍🏼
@@EDDBUD thanks!
Bought the black/anthracite for £67 Earth credits today at nike uk…ITS ON SALE
Mad deals on Nike today!
A full pack of party rings, now you're talking!!
I found them a bit too firm under the forefoot...
I’m surprised! A good balance for me between the foams.
360p ???
The HD and 4K processing was taking ages as was the video checking today.
These are £67 at Nike right now!
Mad Nike deals on right now 👍🏼
I find them a little to big should of gone half a size down
I found them true to size.
@@EDDBUD I’ve always ran in some reebok run fast trainers much lighter and more of a hard ride never had problems since running in them nikes the next day I have knee pain is this normal so I just need to get use to the trainers?
Vomero is non comparable to the Pegasus, a Tesla vs Fiat.
Hi
Gold, the king is back :)
About you wash them 🤨
They are running shoes. They are designed to get dirty and used.
@@EDDBUD i like white sneakers but i stay away because the get dirty so easy
Good video though!
Nike has done nothing to market this shoe! Their marketing is so way off base it’s incredible 😬
I just saw there is a infinity run 3. Same midsole. Upper change only. What are they doing?!
@@EDDBUD totally agree Ed. They are now just leveraging off their market position while bringing nothing new to the table. The problem is of course that the multitude of casual runners will buy into it, not knowing that it’s nothing new at all but merely the same components reconfigured! Sad state of affairs 😢
