Technically you were already paying if you have premium. Besides it's good for the authors for us to pay so I'm okay with it. We get so much music and podcasts for cheap so I don't mind paying for a book every now and then

Its absurd. I wont buy a audio book for $30-40 outside the app and for each book. Literally everyone uses audible because of the subscription

I'm not an audio book guy but I could see myself using this feature.
