- Rip-roaring ’70s-inspired hard rock tones? Okay then…
Welcome to the show and welcome to Effector Du Jour. Short videos, and as to-the-point as That Pedal Show is ever likely to get.
Sutton Instruments is a relatively new brand, hailing from East Yorkshire, UK. The Del Fuego is inspired by a ’70s EHX Big Muff… with added boost. No direct comparison today, let's just hear it.
Enjoy!

Mick, you never seem happier than when you are playing a Strat with a fuzz. You should ditch all the ambient effects and become the fuzz god that clearly calls you!
You know he loves that harmonic trem, echoplex or binson delay, and TPS stereo vibrato/chorus too though.
Less of a ‘UA-cam Video’ and more a peek into the private life of a guitar player enjoying himself. And that Sir, is GREAT to witness. Sounds like an ace pedal too!
What a pedal, and to have TPS quickly demo it properly is a real gift. Love it.
I went to the Sutton website to order and it wasn't available to be shipped to Australia. Contacted them, and Paul added our little country down under within a day or so. FANTASTIC customer service! Very responsive and friendly to deal with. Can't wait to get my pedal and wig out!!!! Thanks TPS and Paul @ Sutton Instruments
Check out there other pedals dude , they make a great boost and overdrive pedal also 👍
@@brucesguitardemos8197 Yeh the boost is the right side of the Fuego, and it's AWESOME on it's own. Highly recommend for anyone chasing a dirty boost!!!
If I could play as well as Mick I would never leave the house.
Sounds fantastic! Thanks for sharing, Mick.
fantastic demo loved every second thank Mick.
Glorious ! Awesome lil rig
That sounds bloody fab. Great work, Mick.
This new segment shows great production. The visuals, masking, focus, mic audio transition to guitar. Already great guys getting better.
Sounds awesome! Really love your playing, Mick!
Incredible tones. The best thing of all is the fun it clearly conjures up. Certainly fun for us out here as well.
Always awesome demo :)
For me, the best overall tone you've had on the show for a good while. Big!
Loved it with the Lester and delay. Fabulous. Thanks leg-ends. No one else does this better!
thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Sounds great 🤘
I love the clock faces - great idea! LOL
Killer killer sounds! Glorious!
Such good playing Mick!!
That is a great pedal! “Rock noise” is a perfect description!
First rule of wig out club is no apologies!! Nice playing mick, and good job Sutton, killer sounding fuzz and boost pedal, nailed it 👊🏽
The pedal really sounds like a Muff into a Marshall.
Wonderful fuzzy sounds.
Really good pedal, easy to clean!! And really good boost!!!
wow, Sounds great!
Oh man… that honk! Love it!!!
ooohhh - that's a good one !!
...made my Jour !
Very inspiring, love the crumble on that fuzz
Cracking use of the word “crumble”. Perfectly apposite, and made me peckish at the same time.
Never before have I seen Mike have so much fun with Muffish circuit
That thing sounds fantastic.
Great video 👏
Geez, what a sound
Sounds great! No one else in the office for a bit, so can move some air.
Those bright red eyes on the Del Fuego. Now we need a Wild Hog overdrive.
Oh yum! Made just down the road from Mick Ronson's home town as far as I can tell.
that's a killer fuzz
Yes the sound and feel is always first ... but v cool to see a pedal where the design and graphics and first class too.
Awesome Mick,,, wig out more often !!!!!
Hi Mick! "Del Fuego" means "From the Fire"
Big fan here!!!! Thank you for your extraordinary work!!!
Hope Dan is getting better and better!!!!
Pedal has promise😊🎸🎶🤟
That seems to tick a lot of boxes. Sounds great.
What a monster fuzz
I’d love to hear you or Dan do this with the Bleak District Electric Antistatic fuzz which has a sampler/looper in it. Sounds wild. Phil played one on my last album. Took the song to a place I never could have got it to.
Cool sounding pedal. Bit of a vibrato clinic, too. Nice one, Mick!
Sounds awesome, I find I love FUZZ pedals that clean up and get fuzzy.
But sometimes you just need a FUZZ pedal that does one job really good…..Glorious FUZZ!! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
Get your Wig Out on Mick 😉
Well that's cool
This sounds BONKERS good. Micks playing certainly helps tho!
Jimi Du Jour!
Nice one Mick.
Production wise for TPS: do you normalize the output level during post-production everytime you switch a pedal on or off? What about when you clean up with the volume? Because it always sounds like you don't loose any volume. Thanks
No normalisation. I might tweak a few dB if there’s a very quiet section but generally not so much. When the amps are reasonably loud you don’t actually lose much volume at all in terms of transients anyway. In fact the clean sound can often be louder! Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow Thank you! Always nice to understand how you record all these nice reviews. Cheers.
Roll over, Rover, let Mick take over!
Did the finish on the Les Paul start checking recently, or was it always checked? I haven't noticed it on that guitar until this video. Thanks!
Always been checked. It’s a Murphy (pre Murphy Lab)
Epic Mick!! Totally on your vibe there .. some might say very Porky's of you.. where Dan is more .. Robocop 😂
I want all fuzzes in the world!
We guitarists can get carried away - something non-guitarist will never understand 😅
Haha the subtitles say McDejour there, wee laddie 🤣
See you Davey!
@@ThatPedalShow 🤣
The GAS for a MIG-50 just hit a all time high. 😬
Hi. Can anyone recommend a high gain overdrive pedal that also sounds good at lower gain levels?
JHS Kilt. Super versatile pedal that can cover a huge range of gain.
Looks like I'm going to need a bigger pedalboard
I don't understand the slight apology at the end. Please to more of the thing you're apologizing for so I can properly understand
Aussie here, so perhaps it's a British saying, thus why I haven't heard it before......... what does wig out mean?
I think it’s an American saying. Erm, like a slightly more polite ‘go vrazy’
It’s what happens when your budgie smugglers are too small.
No apologies for wig outs!
Finally a pedal show vid that didn’t go for an hour and a half. Would have been nice to see the controls etc however.
So you were glad to have a short video but wish it had more content. Got it
You mean the controls that are visible throughout almost the entire video, or some other controls?
The fuzz seems veeery mid-heavy - anyone else hears it that way?
Almost correct, del fuego means of our from fire. The fire would be el fuego. Great playing as usual
