Sure, here's my comment: I can't replay it knowing the vast amount of content which was cut (approxximately 90%). Gameplay is far too linear, there's hardly anything to do but marvel at the amount of dialogue.
Last time I started the game, i was wandering in Armadillo. Climbed at a hilltop, and used my binoculars only for the fun.. Suddenly I saw two mustangs playing with each other in the sand. Than they started to have a sand-bath, and they ran away. The whole interaction between them was so beautiful that I could tell they were a couple in love. Playing for years but never saw this one.. left me in tears..
Nice man. It's the stuff like that, that really gets me. Little happenings that most likely nobody will even see. Really makes you feel like it's it's own world that's gonna happen whether you're there to see it or not
Idk, once I do something horrid like murder a person and the dark ominous music starts to play it makes me feel so bad about what I'd done that I load the save game on the spot
I just started playing rdr2 for the 1st time ever this month. Crazy I have had it for 2 years. Just didn't get into it at first. Then started to play it again after I beat all the arkham games for the 20th time. But I made it past the opening and into the open world. Been hooked. Sometime get lost hunting for hours. Can't get into the online though.
It won't be as magical. When rdr2 came out games were still evolving and this was peak production. Graphics, story, and gameplay can't really get much better. And if we do get rdr3, it'll be a long long time.
I always return to Red Dead Redemption one way or another. I’ll have it downloaded on my PS5, delete it, but then feel the need to go hunting or do a mission again, and I make room for it, again. It’s such a perfect game.
I believe you might just revere RDR2 as much as I do. I absolutely am ruined for other games because of the amazing art of this game. And I'm talking about art, not just in the sense of the graphics (which are eye popping) but in the music, in the story lines, in the characters, and in the game play. Although I'm generally a PC player, I actually bought an Xbox Series X to play the game on before it was released to PC. Moreover, I own the Legend of the East outfit on both Xbox and on PC. I loved every minute of the grind. (well mostly) Now for my last point. I'm turning 77 years old in August. I've been a gamer since the 90's. And I've never fallen in love with a game like Red Dead Redemption 2.
That's impressive! My Dad is 80 and still plays games. He definitely isn't on your level all do respect to him. I love to hear and see that gaming is still at the heart at this age! Congrats for the grind too. Thats behond dedication. I'm currently playing it over. On chapter 3. I almost have all the sachels and look forward to taking it slow this time around. When it first came out, I took Friday and the Monday off just to experience it with extra time. It's a masterful game and it's kind of sad that all that effort that was put in, Rockstar hasn't released any updates for the PS5, PS4, PC. Eitherway, it's still the greatest open world game of all time. Hopefully GTA 6 will be even better. Take care!
I was just roaming around Tall Trees when I just witnessed a mexican husband's wife getting her throat slit by the Skinner Brothers. I tried to help as quick as I could, but I wasn't fast enough. His scream did something to me...
Remembering all those "boring" chapter 2-3 parts while playing the epilogue in first playthrough made me realize how good those times were and how everything was so much better before the Guarma stuff. Felt like an idiot for not appreciating those moments.
This game is one of those first time moments for people where if this game truly and completely resonates with you then you are hooked for life. Still today I have a huge hole in my heart only Read Dead Redemption 2 can fill. If you give yourself to this game and if you WANNA BE A COWBOY.. OR DIRTBAG lol but if you roleplay or just have fun it is so immersive. We all have those games in our life that completely wreck us! Yet in a good way. In one form or fashion . RDR2 is like a dagger to a heart in a good way even compared to most storytelling in the past few years, except those who excel at their craft as well. I have "bonded" with my horse like it was the first time every playthrough. The memories from John to Arthur are a thing of artistic beauty. I honestly do not know if RDR3 could be made today.. guess we'll see how GTA VI is.

After not playing since completing the story the year it came out. I'm now replaying it on PC and just taking my time with the game, did challenges I've never done before like the "Master Hunter Challenge" and getting those sick outfits. I've probably spent around 15 hours doing side quests and errands while just leaving Micah at the StrawBerry jail. I rescued Sean and had the event where we celebrated Sean's return, everyone was there except Micah of course. I will initially stop by the Strawberry jail just so he gets a glimpse and head over to the "BlackBone Forest" to get more perfect pelts, all the while delaying the Thomas Downes quest so Arthur is still healthy, I'll do the main missions at some point.
I recently picked up a 1080 projector primarily for watching movies while camping. But after watching this video, you have given me the idea of replaying it on a 100"+ screen.
I feel your first words. RDR2 is the most beautiful game ever. Sometimes i think about playing the story again for the first time without any knowledge.
My personal tip for first time players: start off by playing online missions first. You get to see Sean before he is captured, Joe, and Sadie’s husband Jake before the O’Driscolls show up.
I wish I could lose my memory and forget this game like that, I could discover it again with all the surprise, the joy, the immersion. The best game in gaming history.
Amazing video! Great quality and useful information. Also, I noticed that you reply to everyone’s comment with something positive. I love that you do that! Keep up the great work!❤️
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Always gotta make sure to spread positivity and make sure no ones opinion is left out! thank you, many more vids on the way 😁🙏
You said a true thing: Every other (open world) game isn’t fun anymore. This is so true. Not one game is even a bit close to RDR2. This is for me (really) the only game I keep playing. So many times now. Doing other appoaches. For example: survival without weapons or horses. Starting from scratch. So much fun … again and again.
@@ProScrood 100%… any things I should do before moving on to Chapter 4? I’ve done all the challenges, upgraded the camp etc… I feel like I need a new horse, what should I get?
@@Milkydrummer Really depends on your play style and preference, however I love the Arabians and Turkomans, the Arabians are the most agile horses and I think they look the best too, Turkomans are the best “All round horse” in my opinion, between speed, agility, health, and strength. A good option is to go to chapter 4 so it unlocks the Saint Denis stables and then consider purchasing the black Arabian or a Turkoman 🙌
My favourite way to play is start low honour for the first half and then high honour in the second half to really make it feel like a story of redemption.
Man, this game is literally my favorite game. I know it's getting older now, which is crazy to think about. I never got into online, this game is mostly for the story. My homie is playing it for his first time. I'm about to hop back on it soon. The classic cougar attack 😂 they spawn in that area a lot too. Good video bro 👌
Ill play this game for the rest of my life probably. One day, maybe Ill even try a low honor route. Through all my playthroughs I could never bring myself to do it lol so I still have that to look forward to Edit: For anyone passing through you can totally get the Legend of the East outfit as Arthur easily by completing all challenges but herbalist, leave gambler 10 for last, and then complete that challenge by replaying the Swanson rescue mission. You can get it as early as chapter 3!
One of the best things to do is … starting all over from scratch, having almost nothing. Did that so many times. Downside: you have to do some missions to stall horses for example. I always start from that point with a save. Finding weapons and horses again. Great other save is from ‘Motherhood’ as John. Finding horses, weapons etc. I always go from that point with only one revolver.
Yes and you can do the secret roberies to get weapons and some money. If you dont kill the shop owner or lady in valentine, you'll be fine. My wanted was only 0,50$ 😂
I'm 55, been gaming since Pong... when I am not doing fun stuff IRL. Grew up on a farm in Nebraska where we had horses, cattle, hogs, sometimes chickens too. RDR2 takes me back to my childhood, especially the epilogue building fences as John. My dad was sort of a cowboy, he liked revolvers and levers, he would have loved this game, but he passed in 2020, before I could get it on PC and get back home. I bet he would have enjoyed just riding the horse around the game looking at the scenery like I do sometimes. My thing is all PC, mostly FPS and combatflight sims, my hands are too big and crippled to use controllers on the consoles. I have a connection to RDR2, because I grew up in an environment not too far removed from 1899. My grandpa was born in 1910, in the house I grew up in and my dad grew up in. My youngest brother lives there now with his kids. Without a vehicle, you were stuck on the farm because it was 15 miles to the nearest town of 400 people. The town with 6000 people was another 7 miles farther than that. That is the reason I am big into cars and light trucks, but part of me is still on the farm despite having traveled the world and watched history happen in person, rather than on a TV screen. Living a hard life is better than existing in easy one, at least to me.
Awesome game. Haven't finished it yet because I also play gta 4 a lot. I'm from nyc and gta 4 is like new york city in video game form. So fun especially when you know the real city.
For some reason the older i get i find myself litterally walking in the mountains near rivers and playing poker and blackjack etc. at bars and i like to take shots while i play listening to the music and people and everything looks so beautiful with all kf the loghting
On my third play through I use rampage trainer a mod and have always 3 star pelt when u find an animal and then it’s up to u to kill it properly so it doesn’t get ruined. That should honestly be how the base game should function in my opinion.
Best game ever. Hunting and crafting clothes and making outfits is my favorite thing to do. I’m trying to craft everything before I attempt the legends of the east. Only finished herbalist and master hunter so far
Just about done with my second play through. Have to find some Graves, and finish the Herbalist Challenges for 100%. Going to do a 3rd play through, but man I am going to dread doing some of these challenges again. Hunting and going to the Trapper is my fav part of the game too BTW: dude you have to know that’s where a Cougar spawn is in your video!! Great video. Makes me more anxious to play my 3rd playthrough. GTA V was my fav game of all time. But RD2 def took my top spot.
Good luck with your second play through! Hope you enjoy it, also yeah I ran through the area prior to filming and there were no cougars, the one time I don’t one one to show up it does 😭, also thanks for the support 🙌 it’s hugely appreciated

This game is a masterpiece. What I don't like is that on main missions you have to follow the yellow line. There is no chance to approach the missions in a different way.
The story is pretty restricted but I guess it had to be that way because it’s a strict plot. We’ll have to see what RDR3 is like in terms of flexibility in the story 🤷♂️
It’s actually fun as HELL to play low honor. Especially when I’m by myself on the backroads away from towns. You say some slick shit to me I’m hogtying you and stabbing you 50 times if that’s enough I’m feeding you to the pigs or gators 😌 changing clothes and it never happened lol
Going thru story mode right now, and man, am i enjoying it. Played it few a years ago, ran thru the story, and then completely forgot about it. Got a ps5 recently and started playing RDO. This game, in general, is very slow paced and a change from other games, but it isn't a bad thing. I unlocked the bounty hunter role and on my first bounty. It was a complete fail. Im avoiding guides for now because part of the enjoyment is discovering, exploring, and oversoming hurdles. Also, the horses. But Im broke. Good content. Keep it up
Cheers thank you for the support. And yeah I 100% understand you, we all play the game differently because there’s literally endless ways to do it, either way I hope you’re enjoying your play through again 😁
First time on your channel and I agree with you without a doubt, ive been playing this game for around a month and ik im not OG but this game had me replaying it 4 times already.
Earlier this year after 27 years I was made redundant from the only job I’d had since leaving school. Whilst I was out of work looking for new employment I restarted this masterpiece and got the 100% trophy 🙏. I’ve still only played the high honour Arthur.
I just started playing again. My last save was right before American venom. So I have officially completed the game 3 times. Now I may just continue as John and try to complete all the challenges.
I too enjoy slowing down while I play. Walking, not running, hitching my house in appropriate places. Camping, sleeping at night. Eating at least twice a day, etc.. also, for the saved outfits on my horse. I make one outfit, but add a coat and gloves, and another with collar unbuttoned and sleeves rolled up. That way it seems like I just add winter gear when it’s cold and loosen up my clothes when it’s hot.
I played this game when it released back in 18 and refused to replay it due to the way the story ended 🫠. However I loaded it up again 2 weeks ago and it’s aged perfectly. What a beautiful beautiful game.
On my 6th playthrough i got to chapter 2 and once the world started to open up i just did hunting only for 100 plus hours..the satchel upgrades, camp upgrades, trapper clothing and garments, fence trinkets, legendary animals, challenges, poker, blackjack, dominoes, bountie, 144 cigarette cards, dino bones, rock carvings, not to mention i havent even unlocked fishing yet..i mean i literally didnt do a single campaign for 100 plus hours..this game is easily the best game ever made for me..
Hey. loved the video. If you would like to experience another great immersive game you should give Kingdom Come Delieverance a try. The quality not quite on the level as in RDR2 but it's still worth a try just for the immersion.
I have literally started rdr2 this month and I am so blown away! I am totally hooked. Is it worth playing the first game? As I know the story continues as Jack johns son? Love the story, the gameplay is so good and it is the most beautiful scenery. Didn’t know it was possible.
Almost a year and a half ago maybe I replayed the game for a second time after not playing it since launch. My first playthrough I basically ignored anything outside of main missions. But for this second playthrough I wanted to do as much as I could. All of a sudden I fell in love with it. Now I’m sitting here and I have no idea how I ended up with 2200 hours played
Every Rockstar game I always bump into NPCs, jump/dive into them and crouch walk all around them. You will get some of the most hilarious reactions from NPCs this way. Oh and falling from rooftops onto them. 😂
It's easy man i was getting it before any mission in chapter one until i did a mistake i picked up a flower that only is a few in chapter one and will disappeare until you reach chapter 4 and that was the only mission i needed to do to get the outfit in chapter one i just gave up cause i wanted to get the outfit before starting my first mission
Im not an avid gamer but there are games that I would like to play, but I can't warrant the prices of new games, I can easily wait for a game to be on PS PLUS or free, I've only just started playing this game, and after 100's of hours in Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a real eye-opener, I'm constantly looking around and listening to the characters, 3 days in and it is possibly the best game I've played, of course, I'm dying in shoot outs as im a noob but I can honestly see myself investing a lot more hours into this game. 👍🏻

I just keep coming back to RDR2 after playing other games. Won’t matter how old the game is. It will remain one of, if not my favorite game.
I recently picked up a 1080 projector primarily for watching movies while camping. But after watching this video, you have given me the idea of replaying it on a 100"+ screen.
So happy you gained something from the video, hopefully your play through goes well! 🙌😁
@@ProScrood thank you.
I feel your first words. RDR2 is the most beautiful game ever. Sometimes i think about playing the story again for the first time without any knowledge.
@@dasche1900 100%
My personal tip for first time players: start off by playing online missions first. You get to see Sean before he is captured, Joe, and Sadie’s husband Jake before the O’Driscolls show up.
@@gregschultz8639 Very true, I hadn’t thought of that 🙌
I wish I could lose my memory and forget this game like that, I could discover it again with all the surprise, the joy, the immersion.
Always gotta make sure to spread positivity and make sure no ones opinion is left out! thank you, many more vids on the way 😁🙏
You said a true thing:
Every other (open world) game isn’t fun anymore. This is so true.
Not one game is even a bit close to RDR2. This is for me (really) the only game I keep playing. So many times now. Doing other appoaches. For example: survival without weapons or horses. Starting from scratch. So much fun … again and again.
Also I'm happy that you're making this video❤
Glad you enjoy it 😁🙌
I made a perfect save, including all: dino’s, windchimes etc etc.
From there I only do the nicest challenges: horseman 10 for example.
For sure 🙌
Totally agree with your opening statement.
The greatest game of all time 🙌
@@ProScrood 100%… any things I should do before moving on to Chapter 4?
Yeah haha they always ruin my intros lol 😆
Nice soldier76 ult on that cougar. Worth it for sure, secured you the win.
Playing red dead 2 for the first time on PC ultra 4k graphics. It's amazing, beat it 3 times on my ps5 already XD.
Can’t wait to do a PC RDR2 showcase for sure, that sounds amazing 🙌
@@ProScroodespecially with the mods too!
@@nickabbott319 Definitely 🙌
Ill play this game for the rest of my life probably. One day, maybe Ill even try a low honor route. Through all my playthroughs I could never bring myself to do it lol so I still have that to look forward to
Edit: For anyone passing through you can totally get the Legend of the East outfit as Arthur easily by completing all challenges but herbalist, leave gambler 10 for last, and then complete that challenge by replaying the Swanson rescue mission. You can get it as early as chapter 3!
@@D_McGeezacks It gets very dark 😂
@ProScrood I love dark stories, but for some reason I can't do it to Arthur 😂
@@D_McGeezacks Yeah he always deserve the high honor end 🙌
One of the best things to do is … starting all over from scratch, having almost nothing. Did that so many times.
Downside: you have to do some missions to stall horses for example.
I always start from that point with a save. Finding weapons and horses again.
Great other save is from ‘Motherhood’
as John. Finding horses, weapons etc.
I always go from that point with only one revolver.
That’s definitely another great play style for sure 🙌😁
Yes and you can do the secret roberies to get weapons and some money. If you dont kill the shop owner or lady in valentine, you'll be fine. My wanted was only 0,50$ 😂
Great vid, glad it popped up on my recommended
So refreshing to hear an Aussie accent on a gaming video
This is the greatest game of all time
By far 🗣️
I just played through the story for maybe the 4th time. Still incredible
I'm on my fourth go on this game, and after more than 600 hours it still manage to amaze me
On my third play through I use rampage trainer a mod and have always 3 star pelt when u find an animal and then it’s up to u to kill it properly so it doesn’t get ruined.
Hunting and going to the Trapper is my fav part of the game too
BTW: dude you have to know that’s where a Cougar spawn is in your video!!
Opening monologue nails it 👏What a game! have now started the redownload 😂😂
I've played through the entire thing 3 times now.. And I'm STILL probably gonna play it again in a years time or so.
Soldier 76 ult on the cougar was hilarious 😂😂
I have played RDR2 7 times, and i just cant bring myself to play low honor.
It’s definitely a hard decision 🙌
On my second play through, with low honour.
The things I've had to do to get my honour down to 10% (so far).. I've turned into a monster
@jarthurk LOL!Looting corpses decreases your honour. I used to rob every corpse but otherwise played nice Arthur and my honour was very low.
My fave game of all time period.
Same here 🙌
That big cat knows how to grab your attention 😂😅 what a masterpiece!
If it turned out there was a subliminal addiction message in the soundtrack, I wouldn't be surprised at all.
It’s just too good 🙌
Going thru story mode right now, and man, am i enjoying it.
Red dead 2 and Elden ring have set new precedents for what an open world game is
I just started my fourth playthrough a couple of days ago! This is my favorite game of all time!
By far my favourite too 🙌
Just started a new replay. Still amazing as the day it came out
As always 🙌
About to start my first play through ever tonight
if you see that duel in valentine, you can duel the winner. it makes me wish you could duel people you antagonize.
This is still my favorite game I try to do it differently each play thru and have multiple profiles for honorable and dishonorable enjoyment
@@vastvideos7212 Definitely for sure 🙌
I agree, definitely the best game of all time. In my new play through I’m not using dead eye.
Definitely, also that’s a very hard challenge, good luck 🙌
First time on your channel and I agree with you without a doubt, ive been playing this game for around a month and ik im not OG but this game had me replaying it 4 times already.
It’s just too great of a game to not play it more than once 🙌
Earlier this year after 27 years I was made redundant from the only job I’d had since leaving school. Whilst I was out of work looking for new employment I restarted this masterpiece and got the 100% trophy 🙏. I’ve still only played the high honour Arthur.
I just started playing again. My last save was right before American venom. So I have officially completed the game 3 times. Now I may just continue as John and try to complete all the challenges.
That’s good as 🙌
I too enjoy slowing down while I play.
I do a lot of low honor things but then i just greet a couple of people 😂
I played this game when it released back in 18 and refused to replay it due to the way the story ended 🫠.
However I loaded it up again 2 weeks ago and it’s aged perfectly. What a beautiful beautiful game.
Just amazing 🙌
On my 6th playthrough i got to chapter 2 and once the world started to open up i just did hunting only for 100 plus hours..the satchel upgrades, camp upgrades, trapper clothing and garments, fence trinkets, legendary animals, challenges, poker, blackjack, dominoes, bountie, 144 cigarette cards, dino bones, rock carvings, not to mention i havent even unlocked fishing yet..i mean i literally didnt do a single campaign for 100 plus hours..this game is easily the best game ever made for me..
the game is so immersive I haven't finished the story yet. Bought the game in 2018. Haven't seen the south of the map yet 😅
Hey. loved the video. If you would like to experience another great immersive game you should give Kingdom Come Delieverance a try. The quality not quite on the level as in RDR2 but it's still worth a try just for the immersion.
@@theRozman88 I’ve seen the game around before but never really thought about it, I’ll have to give it a try 🙌😁
Great video bro, ive subbed now 👌 I'll watch the rest later, im booting up RDR2 now 😂 I'll be back tho
Thanks so much for the sub! Really appreciate it. Also glad you enjoyed the vid, more coming shortly 🙌
Best game of all time bro I’m stuck in this game
Bro I just restarted RDR2 for my 5th time and this time I’m doing a 1st person play through ONLY 🙌🏾 TRUST me it’s a whole new video game
Oh definitely. First person Is an entirely new experience 🙌
Very cool video bro!
I would love to see them release a 60fps update for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, the 30fps limit can be quite annoying
Outro song is a really nice remix of farcry 5 ost
Yeah I love it 🙌
I've got about 200 videos of things you can do in another playthrough. Mainly unlocking late game items early
Thank you for reminding me that you are talking about this game, by saying "this game" twice in every single sentence.
can you do a video based on the challenges? like the best ways to do them?
Sure thing I’ll see what I can get done for you 😁🙌
Every Rockstar game I always bump into NPCs, jump/dive into them and crouch walk all around them. You will get some of the most hilarious reactions from NPCs this way. Oh and falling from rooftops onto them. 😂
@@paulalverson7211 They’re funny as to mess with for sure 😆🙌
Play it for the 8th time in a row !!!!
❤❤❤
Definitely 🙌
I agree with you brother masterpiece 🔥🔥♥️🥃 play every year don’t forget don’t care about gta6
@@costelcodreanu4629 It’s just too good 🙌
Disappointed that RockStar didn't make a DLC. It really felt setup for a DLC in Mexico. That would have been excellent.
Definitely 😔
Legend of the East in chapter 3…. Respect
Thank you 🙌
It's easy man i was getting it before any mission in chapter one until i did a mistake i picked up a flower that only is a few in chapter one and will disappeare until you reach chapter 4 and that was the only mission i needed to do to get the outfit in chapter one i just gave up cause i wanted to get the outfit before starting my first mission
@@sinaradss Love this
Im not an avid gamer but there are games that I would like to play, but I can't warrant the prices of new games, I can easily wait for a game to be on PS PLUS or free, I've only just started playing this game, and after 100's of hours in Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a real eye-opener, I'm constantly looking around and listening to the characters, 3 days in and it is possibly the best game I've played, of course, I'm dying in shoot outs as im a noob but I can honestly see myself investing a lot more hours into this game. 👍🏻
Exactly it’s just perfect! Can never have too many hours in it 🙌
@@ProScrood I must apologise but hopefully you can understand that I did finish watching your video, I've made the mistake of searching RDR 2 on UA-cam and now I'm getting videos on it all the time, all though you have a great video for me it's the spoiler alerts, I will subscribe to you and check in now and then with my progress, itf that's OK 👍🏻
