One thing I would say about unlocking the fence early: you don't actually need to complete the mission with Hosea, you can just take a train from Valentine to Saint Denis and visit the fence there 🤠👍
Finding a reliable horse in chapter 2 is my main priority. I prefer using one main horse for the entire game. Any secondary horses I get are investments I max bond with and then sell to the twins. Also in my recent play through, I didn’t do any of the treasure hunts. If you do all of the treasure hunts, your pretty much set for the rest of the game. Making money by hunting and robbing places and playing activity games just makes the game feel more authentic for me.
Ngl I always just keep the horse from Chapter 1 as my main. It's nothing special and obviously there's way better horses, but I love keeping the one that's literally been with you since the start, all the way to the end of Chapter 6.
@@teresa6775there is turkoman glitch in St Denise from the beginning of the chapter 2, but in my recent playtrough i didnt manage to obtain him in a reasonable time so im not sure is still available! In my second playtrough i was able to get golden turkoman early in chapter 2!
I wish I knew about Calloways revolver before I started my current play through, that’s one I hadn’t seen before! Also I didn’t know ginseng elixirs worked that way!
Instead of finding all of the ginseng elixirs just get one, then go to a fence or anything similar you can jump over. Drink the elixir and before Arthur drinks it, jump and climb the fence. You will get the xp for your health and still have the same elixir in inventory. Repeat until level 8. This can be done with other tonics, aged pirate rum and valerian root to max stamina and deadeye.
Here are I did: Get all the perfect pelts for all satchels. Increasing health bar, stamina and dead eye. Find treasure and gold bars, then sell them to the fence to make money in Rhodes. Buy/find all weapons, customize them and increase ammo. Gain high honor and be a good person. Complete all challenges to get all of the equipment (as Arthur in chapter 2, & 3 and as John in the epilogue to complete the herbalist challenge).
What I always do is, go to Rhodes to get the Lancaster from the gunsmith, go to the doctors in valentine (like you did), do the legendary gun slingers missions to get all their guns including a Mauser, go to watsons cabin to get the auto shotgun, go to the gunsmith in st Denis to rob the poker game and when you knock out the gunsmith check the gun he drops as sometimes he drops the semi auto pistol
Thanks for the great videos. You don't have to go on the mission with Horsea to open the fence at Emerald ranch. You can go directly to the fence in Rhodes. It's open from the start…
Love this video. But I gotta say, Arthurs original horse, the Tennessee Walker from ch. 1, is THE best horse in the game, for so many reasons. Especially for stopping quickly, bravery and being able to creep slowly when you need it to.
My first 8 🤔 1. Skin 3 deer and get the offhand holster. 2. Get the gold bar at Limpany. 3. Go to Southfield Flats and get the Cattlemens behind the cabin then to the Gunsmith in Rhodes for the Lancaster. ( Dual wielding Cattlemen's and be sure to get a Varmint Rifle. ) 4. Get the gold bars at the statues and train wreck. ( Go to the fence and be sure to get some dynamite. ) 5. Watsons Cabin for the Semi Auto Shotgun. 6. Unlock the stables with Hosea mission and get the Rolling Block Rifle. 7. Go Start getting as many perfect pelts as possible BEFORE you unlock the ledger. I am convinced that once the game knows what you are looking for they send out a memo...to every deer, rabbit, racoon and squirrel. Get like 10 perfect deer, a few perfect buck, pronghorn doe and buck. Pre load up all the pelts you can to get a head start on the satchel. 8. I like to do the money glitch at Van Horn with the Bow. Get max health and money.
I rememeber finding that red Arabian on my own while out exploring. It was a wild feeling since at that time, few had made videos or articles on it even existing, only the white one. I like to believe they did place puzzles so hard in the game no one will ever solve them until decades later😂
Get $3000 then go to St Denis and book passage to Tahiti. Will Dutch and those others ever arrive? Of course not, and that's for the best. Live happily ever after.

Thank you for the time stamps kind internet stranger!
@@OscarHRamirezIII You are quite welcome, my good sir!
Who's watching this in 1816
Nobody, that is not possible
@@aprilupchurch6403your a sharp one arnt you
Watching it in 1815 mate lol
@@martindavis8706 No, I’m really stupid tbh
Holy, how is that possible? I'm just watching this in 1900!
I recommend getting all the satchels asap.
Facts 💯
The Rolling Block Rifle is a perfect pelt weapon
I want the satchels but I really have no patience for hunting. Is the juice worth the squeeze?

I pacify myself until I can finally get my main horse in chapter 3...the dark bay turkoman, best horse of the game.

@@cipiripi81 Most believe they patched the glitch in st denise. I've tried that a million times with no luck on a decent horse.

Just be holding a rifle or shotgun and jump when you consume something. No need to jump over anything.

You have to do the money lending, Strauss mission to unlock the ledger to be able to upgrade the camp, BTW

There’s a fence in Rhodes that doesn’t require the mission to unlock early
And the one in Saint Denis
Horse get andulsian at Brandywine or Warped Brindle Arabian. Upgrade your satchel is a must.
Currently 44% total completion in Chapter 2 thanks to you 😅
Just a heads up… You can deposit a gold bar at the camp and it gives you the money for it. You don’t have to find a fence or anything. 😊
That i didnt know! Niiice! 😂
thanks for the tips and keep up the amazing content
do you play with DLDSR + DLSS or just standard TAA + 4k res? It looks clean af
You can go to the fence in Rhodes before the Hosea mission. Good video
It is also possible to sell gold bars in Annesburg fence
You mean Van Horn?
For me best start is fast horse, 2nd holster, guns, LOTE satchel then gold, trinkets and talismans...
Oh get the Springfield rifle immediately too
Will my Red Dead Redemption account be lost if I format my computer?
If you don't have cloud saves on, you will lose your progress
I rememeber finding that red Arabian on my own while out exploring.
