    I feel the exact same way about this game. RDR 2 has ruined me for other games. I just keep coming back to RDR 2 regardless of the plethora of other games out there. I keep trying new and older games but there's just nothing that comes close as of yet. Unlike any other game that I've come across, this game really and truly does immerse you into a whole other world. One that feels far more real than that of any other game out there.. period.

      The Brawler is an immersive possible role, actually. Never using firearms and only resorting blades when all else fails, to see if you can survive a two fisted, takes no sh*t play through, could be awesome. I learned only recently that you can actually make John or Arthur really buff by doing strenuous exercise, like rowing and camp chores. No mods required. If you do enough, whilst eating plenty, he gets an Arney physique, which is hard to keep up, like in real life. But it would be fitting for such play style?

    This is great stuff. I love knowing I'm not the only one who does this sort of role-playing post story in games like this. I personally like playing as though John is constantly looking for ways to make $ for his family. Hunting for pelts, robbing stores & people, stealing selling stagecoaches etc. And like you've said in another vid, commiting crimes causes bounty hunters to go looking for u which adds another layer of challenge (and free loot!).

    BTW, I did have another idea called, Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy. Basically playing in all four of those roles, without specific goals for each, no mods or online play required. That is, if we take, “Tinker,” in this instance, to mean a mischievous con man/ con woman, prone to practical jokes and thievery. The rest speaks pretty much for itself, but the, “spy,” element has far more going for it than first meets the eye; from intelligence gathering, using Intel to disrupt the authorities and stealth takedowns of enemy camps, taking one person, silently, at a time before vanishing back into the shadows and patiently waiting for the next window of opportunity for your next victim. If you set the goal of never being wounded, or detected, it requires a lot of skill and patience.

  • @ashroskell
    @ashroskell 23 дні тому +1

    This is great stuff, most of which I’m banking for the latter end of my current playthrough. I’m in Chapter 2 of my umpteenth playthrough, so I can’t abandon the gang without someone showing up to tell me Dutch is mad at me for vanishing, while I’m trying to rack up all the challenges I can. And I can’t be mad at Dutch’s messengers for keeping tabs on me, since these are the same tabs that result in them busting me out of jail, should I ever get caught for something.
    I am, however, going to attempt what I will call The Janus Game (Janus being the ancient Greco Roman god who was always depicted with two faces looking left and right, and symbolising dualities such as winter and summer, etc.) in which I will play with the highest honor possible, then, probably whilst taking on your Crime Boss suggestion, I will use my low honor to get the low honor decorations for weapons that remain locked unless you have that rating. It does mean only having one of every twinable gun, which is a sacrifice, and I’m not 100% sure it will work, but it will be fun finding out.
    I doubt the clothing sets will work this way, (without a mod, that is) since I will already own the only version available in game at whatever point I buy it, which will fit with whatever honor I have at that time. But I don’t see why it shouldn’t work for the weapons.
    Actually, it may work when you have both kinds of weapon, if you only decorate one at a time, when you have max high or low honor? Perhaps you know more about this and could save me from wasting my time?

    • @ProScrood
      @ProScrood  23 дні тому +1

      @@ashroskell Love this playthrough idea! Also I’m relatively sure that once you purchase what you need for your weapons you get to keep them no matter how your honor differs afterwards 🙌

    • @ashroskell
      @ashroskell 23 дні тому +1

      @@ProScrood : Thank you. Yes I know you don’t lose the weapons themselves, but I just wonder about how the unlocking of the designs work. See, the idea stuck in my head when I heard another popular Red Dead UA-camr saying something about how he loved the look of his guns but regretted having to be so evil in game to unlock the design. So, I don’t know at what levels you have to be to unlock the best designs for high or low honor, which guns they apply to, or even if this guy might be mistaken? I doubt he is wrong, but my understanding of him could well be. He’s called Fizhy, btw. But I can’t site the actual video, as it’s just something that stuck in my head.
      Really appreciate that you gave me the thought and attention, though. And surprisingly quickly. Thank you. Keep on keepin’ on.

    • @ProScrood
      @ProScrood  23 дні тому +1

      @@ashroskell All good no worries, essentially to unlock the different designs for your weapons you need to reach maximum negative and maximum positive honor, each of these will unlock different grips for your sidearms. Once you buy them you keep them. For example if you reach max low honor it’ll unlock the dark skull grips, but if you reach maximum honor it’ll unlock the high honor grips 🙌

      Depends on how you want to play the playstyle, personally if I’m in Saint Denis playing as the Crimeboss I’ll rent a hotel and sleep during the day and go out at night to increase the immersion. However all of it is up to you, the intended way to play is to stay in the town your in, so no camping, however it’s up to you. You don’t necessarily even need to sleep if you don’t want to.
