"everyone wants to make The best most realistic graphics possible" Please tell me in what game? I cant remember the last time games portrayed realistic proportional bodies or/and geometry I am starving for them games.. But I do get what were you trying to say..
Sure, I'll bite. I won't pretend games aren't full of fantasy and make believe. Rather, I look at things like horizon zero as an example. They use real actors and photo realism to create as realistic people as possible. This is very common in triple A gaming right now. The graphics are so advanced that you can see the peach fuzz on the character model. Impressive? Yes. However, when I look at the game as a whole, it's somehow open world yet linear. Aloy will spend the entire game nearly breaking the fourth wall to tell the player where to go, what to do, etc. It hurts immersion. I think flims can prove that even if you have a real person and location on screen, the wrong direction or dialog can take you out of the movie. The same goes for games. Some games benefit from being games. Other games are trying to sell you a world, a story, an idea. More often than not, older games devs understood this. I won't say it's "modern game bad, old game good." A lot of modern games still get it right or are good regardless. I'm just pointing out that new games make a point to be as realistic as possible at times while at the same time hurting it's own immersion and character connection by trying to assume the player can't experience the world for themselves.
@javajawa2157 I Like how you think and totally agree with what you are saying, altho I didn't played horizon, don't own a ps and by the time horizon hit pc, it was revealed that they ugly-FIED main protagonist on purpose and by looking at gameplay it seems to me like it's a big realistic beautiful world but empty only to kill robot animals so I skipped that but yes you are right, horizon has realistic graphics. Should have said games with realistic graphics AND without propaganda/ "the message" , with decent writing and not an empty open world XD

The overland map looks so much like HoMM2... but the creatures, dear god...they are so derpy!
It might not be the best heroes in terms of gameplay but it has a charming fairy tale aesthetic to it. It was my first heroes game.
I like how it looks like a highres Version of the Might and Magic 3,4 and 5 RPGs.

HoMM2 is my favourite, I guess you always like the one you played first the best.

My opinion: Best ones are 2 and 5.
