    Psyllium husk will hold it together, I make mine with it and they don’t crumble. I do like the idea of adding the aquafaba .

      What a great idea. I haven't cooked with psyllium. I will have to check it out. Is it 1;1 ratio? What would you suggest?

      It is. He wasn't always on board. It took some time and a lot of taste testing before he was convinced he could eat this way. He lost weight and improved many aspects of his health. So, he's in it for the long run now.

    I wonder if oat flour might work instead of wheat gluten? I can’t use wheat gluten.

      You can try, but it's the glue that holds it together.

      @@KathysVeganKitchen I think I might try oat flour plus a flax egg to help hold it together. Gluten free bread crumbs are easy to find so that isn’t a problem. Thanks! 😊

      Maybe use corn starch instead of wheat gluten if you are gluten free..

    Can you make a beet burger next? Trader Joe's used to carry the best veggie beet burger in their refrigerator section, but I haven't seen it in a couple years.

    what does the vital wheat gluten do for the recipe??

    • @KathysVeganKitchen
      @KathysVeganKitchen  6 місяців тому +1

      It binds the ingredients together so it stays together when cooked. However, it you don't want to use vital wheat gluten, let me know. I have a suggestion that may work.
