Thanks, nice video... Have replaced alternator for my friend 2 times then told him wont do it again as it will just burn again in two days. Now will have to look for ground wires hopefully it will be an easy fix.
Been having the same problem with my 07 nissan murano. Hoepfully this fixes it because ive replaced my alternator three times. Check that little strap ground and it was all corroded and halfway broken off. Extremly fed up with this problem and if this doesnt fix im done. All over youtube people are having the same problem with nissan
My Murano cranks I changed the starter and still not turning on it gets my positive post hot .every time I turn the key . I like how I xplane simple and to the point .thank you .
Would that small ground ribbon wire thing not be redundant? If you run a cable from the block to the frame then to the battery, what would be the purpose of that tiny wire going from the block to the frame?
Hey guys I had the same problem and it was a wire plug that was loose inside the fuse box in the engine compartment by the passenger side. I took it to an electrician and he tighten the pins inside the connector plug. I hope this helps some one
Having the same issue , driving home when the lights came on. Saw this video fix the problem the light wet away but came back on . Im assuming the alternator is burnt out .going to reolace that .
Im sitting here drinking and trying to find a solution after getting kicked in the dick by this car over and over again. The symptoms you describe are exactly what I'm seeing. I'm about to go check the grounds. Wish me luck.
I am having the battery light and Parking brake signs in the dash since I tried to clean my battery connectors this w-e... maybe I did manage to make a shortcut that fried my alternator?? Does anyone knows what's the OEM part number for that small gound wire jumper (from the bracket to the frame, the one that was corroded in this video). I also removed my battery support plate and the negative wire to the transmission on my 05 MO, and found that this ground wire was completely gone (vanished from both sides of the connector) and until this w-e, I never experienced any issue. But I am willing to replace it notheless, so I'd like to know its OEM part # to order it. Thanks for your help.
bro I've been going through this s*** for the last month I really hope that this works thank God that I found this video because I don't have to Papa God damn mechanic talking about a whole bunch of s*** they don't know thank you sir for this video
The only thing I don't understand is how you know so much more than mechanics at the shop yet couldn't replace alternator by yourself on your Murano? Its a easy job just takes a few hours to do. Four hours to be precise.
I believe he said he did it himself the first time, but got a mechanic to do it the second time for $200 as you have to remove a lot of stuff to get to the alternator on a Murano.
A mechanic can do the alternator quite a bit easier just because they can get the car on a lift. Yes, you can put it on jackstands, pull the passenger side front wheel, pull the radiator out, move the AC/compressor lines out of the way.. and so on. But it will take a lot of hours. I don't know about you, but even though I'm pretty handy with tools, that job would take me, probably, 8+ hours, spread over 2 days. I could never do it in "a few hours" (where "few" is, like, "3"). My mechanic can do this in 2-1/2 hrs. Impressive. But then, he's a mechnic with a lift, and he's got the chops. I'm sure after you do 4-5 of these (and he's probably done dozens or a hundred?), you get really fast at it. The rest of us, not so much.
I’m starting to have electrical issues similar to what you were saying, I’m gonna check mine now. I’ll leave an update.

@@NS-qj8xj I'd totally pay someone $200 to do that the second time this week.
