Love to See you do all These relatable things and being more vulnerable. I think this move will be really good for your personal Development. Growth is always Hard, but that only means that you are doing the right thing by getting out of your comfortzone
Always enjoy your story telling ☺️ It'll be interesting to see how you feel when you're back in Bali again for a while. There's always going to be stuff you miss but I think you're definitely on the right track...keep on trucking & you'll get there I'm sure. 🤗
In regards, to your Portuguese landlord, Portuguese people are tremendous savers (Aka cheap ). Lol 😂. All kidding aside, I have a great many Portuguese friends ( from Portugal 🇵🇹) they are wonderful people, and will always feed you , and give you shelter. Once you make actual Portuguese friends, they will help you navigate life there , and will always steer you in the right direction. They are fiercely loyal. Please remember to play safe , you are a nice guy , I wouldn’t want anyone/anything to compromise you. I love your videos, have a wonderful trip back to Bali. ❤🌈
Very glad to see you are happy in Lisbon. Home painting is not easy for the first time. If they are water soluble type of paint, it is very easy to remove using water.
I’ve learned there are many different shades of white. Make sure you get the same exact color, and whether it’s flat or semi-gloss. You need to put plastic on the floor and something under the can of paint. It would be smart to wear clothes you don’t mind ruining and also a hat because parents my takes a long term me to get out of the hair.
Adrien, banks here are rather nightamrish I agree. I found thru trial and error, Millennium is the best. You should not have to wait 3 weeks for a debit card. Sometimes it's the CTT, or mail, which here is also quite bad. Nothing seems to work here, but it does, not easily always, but Portugal teaches you patience, and that you must develop to be happy here.
BankInter blamed the problem on CTT. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a combination of both. CTT also failed to deliver a basic piece of mail to my house, so I have no idea why they are so incompetent
@@AdrienField Yes, I am sure. CTT are very incompetent, BAD really... because they went private, no longer state owned, and are always short staffed. I once had a bank card undelivered for over 2 months. I made a stink, that afternoon it was suddenly delivered. Here one needs to be a pain, otherwise, it does not get done, hence why we need more people such as yourself to help slowly but surely bring about change. To be fair to them, if one lives in an Air B&B, it's often hard for them to deliver correctly, as tenants are constantly moving in and out, still. Be strong Adrien Portugal is not for everyone, it's certainly not for the weak. It is a Latin country with specks of Celticity in the North, No. African & Arabic in the South, and Latin ad mix everywhere else, with Lisbon being a hodge-podge. Although Portuguese can be unpredictable and cancel last minute (Latin trait) Brazilians are way more notorious for doing so, so be aware. Arroios is not the greatest neigbhorhood because of the dope and sex industries, but it's not that terrible. Anjos, Intendente, and Cais do Sodré are way more. Just go with the flow but do not accept mediocrity. Here one has to complain or nothing gets done. But, as long as we do it firmly but with the manners as you do, it's all good and in time one sees results. The effects of the Covid 19 fiasco are still being felt, but it is getting much better. The slower life does come with some of these stresses, so it bears thinking. Each country has its good and bad, and we need to sway to the changes. It is hard at first and honestly, you came at the worst time of the year...but it will get better you see. As for the scuffs on the wall, it's because of the mate type of paint used. It is the cheapest and chalkiest, as semi gloss is way more expensive, and more so colored paint. Ever wonder why insides of apt's here are always white and mate? Price. Remember, the average salary in 🇵🇹 is €1200 per month. I hate scuffs too, but no need to buy paint every x u see a scuff. Just use lemon cream scrub sold at 🛒's in a pad for kitchen use. Lightly scour the areas and presto. 98% of the time erased easily and then swipe with wet sponge to remove product fully. Owner could care less because she probably just painted it, or you wud see a color contrast upon painting now. Hope this helps..
I am in Bali at the moment. Rainy season. But still warm. So many Dutch and Russian people around! I think you’ve made the right decision to move to Lisbon. I wonder how you’ll feel being back in Bali…tourism is certainly kicking off again here.
Yes, I don’t like scuffed walls either. If it looks dirty I have to paint. Hahahaha. Get use to doing things for yourself like dishes, throwing garbage, etc. Did you have someone doing these things when you lived in America growing up?
I appreciate the honesty in this video. I was in Lisbon over the summer and quickly realized that I prefer Madrid/Barca, but Lisbon has better tax incentives for remote workers. Soooooo yeah Im thinking of taking the leap to Lisboa. I'll keep watching your vids for more insight. Also, a threesome with a stiff neck is pretty adventurous lol
This was a cool video. I have to ask, how did you decide to move to Lisbon? Did you consider other countries/cities as well? I've been living in Mexico City for 5 years and I'm really eager to move somewhere else. Right now the place that I'm most excited about is Berlin.
Aahhh , so fun to join you on your every days around Lisbon . You did great on the painting ….Well done for giving it a try !

Thanks for sharing a piece of your life. Please keep on filming, I'm thoroughly enjoying it! 😊
Bali seemed to be more beautiful & your house looked more cozy & unique there.
The paint rollers do come in different texture levels from smooth to course. Good on you for having a go and glad it turned out fine.
Always enjoy your story telling ☺️

Thanks Tina 😊 i’m also curious how i’ll feel being back in my other home of bali for the next couple months.
I really like the way you make and select footage for your vlog. Very nice.
Thank You. My Best memories of Portugal was the orange juice machine. Thank you for showing .

It was indeed water soluble which made the process mostly mess free
I hope you get all you ask for❤

Meant that paint takes a long time to get out of the hair.
You need to put plastic on the floor. It’s an absolute must.
Ok, you managed to get it done without plasticity on the floor. Good job.
beautiful city.
Dat lo-fi sax at the end!! 🤩
Good to see you feeling better, go get your life 😊
Your footage is really nice. Well done.
which bank do you recommend then?

Russians and Ukrainians will ruin the place. Wait and see
I feel you are happier in Lisbon
More alive maybe
Hahahaha, have to take my own dishes out of the machine. Hahahaha. Welcome to being normal like the rest of us.

I did an earlier video about this 😉
Haha, Adrien! You make me laugh!
Adrien, if you decide Lisbon (and indeed Europe) is not working for you, you would be always welcome back in Australia.
Run by psychopaths like Canada and America

Fabrizio is cute 😉
He is, but sadly I’m not his type 😄

@@AdrienField aww 😘
Your friend is gorgeous, I thought he was your date:)
I’m not sure which one you’re referring to but I’m sure both would be happy to hear it
