And for some reason my middle fingers are always the ones that mostly get over filed, I guess because it appears my middle finger is the 2nd widest finger so comparing it next to my point and ring it always looks bigger.? This is super duper helpful!!

I know the structure of a gel nail should be the same but could we get a gel version of this video? I know I sometimes struggle with creating the proper apex when using gel because of its viscosity so any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated 😊
It is the same structure. I totally understand what you mean about gel always moving or leveling out. A tip... look at your cuticles & free at area and see if it’s really thick there. If it is most likely your middle is the same thickness so it will be perfect. Just file in zone one and three first. 😉💅🏻✨💖

This did help me out alot! THANK YOU! I was always told "apex" and "stress point" and that was "the middle of the nail" and that's about it. I've also been told, because I use tips, to place my apex where the tip and natural nail meet. Which is up higher than where it needs to be really. Anyway for the longest time I done the thickest part up to high, toward the free edge too much. I kinda, on my own figured out about where to place my thickness. But then like you said I would file most of it away, thinking I had it too thick. And I still tend to over file. I'm getting better. But this did help me out so much! Thank you! God bless!

The first acrylic set I had done was pink and white and it was so painful. He had my cuticles bleeding and burned my nail beds. Never went back there. Thank you for your videos 💗

I realise the mistake I am making by over filing the middle as I go over it so many times that it ends up breaking. I have a lot of older clients that stiffen up. I try and ask them to relax, but they can’t hear me. Sometimes it’s so frustrating, but it all works out. It’s mainly their thumbs. I have noticed that holding their fingers over the top has helped me improve my left thumb from hurting.

Love all these tips! Can you guys do a video about how to deal with clients who don't have relaxed hands and straight hand placement. I find that a lot of clients are moving and looking at their nails ot sitting sideways and I'm constantly adjusting them and me. And then my shoulders are hurting 😭
