Guys i can certainly say you re the best ive ever seen around . Yoyr info is the greatest and you learn someone how to improve the sufficient way! Im so glad and grateful ivw pumped into your video really!
Everything 90's is back including this manicurist...lol I've been out of the business for over 15 years. Everything in the industry is DIFFERENT!!! Even the technique that I was taught. These videos are helping me sooo much! Thank you.
Me too! I'm a licensed manicurist in the state of Maryland but have been out of the business a long time myself. So much has changed. YN is always the best place to catch up on products and techniques. Believe it or not I just started using gel polish 4 months ago. I had been doing dip powder on my own nails for about 4 years but it was past time to learn hard gel and gel polish. I went to school around 1984 when my daughter was 3. I was the first person Aaron's Academy of Beauty in Waldorf Maryland took for just manicuring. They were so busy teaching cosmetology I sat under a hair dryer and pretty much had to teach myself. But I love doing nails, I've been trying to get back into it for a few years now. How about you? Are you going to get back into it? I'm 63 and retired so I'd love to just do more friends and family at home. ❤️💅
I really appreciate YN for taking the time to thoroughly educate everyone on how to do nails. That’s a major reason that I love your company and love to purchase your products when I can. They are quality products. Thank you for the tips!!
One thing from the 90’s that ISN’T back in is the thicker acrylic nails. It was why I quit going. So glad the product has improved and I can do it on my own because I know what I like and many times it’s hard to convey that to others. Not taking away from what nail techs do because you guys are artists and THAT part I will never master but as for simple styles I can do them and that’s thanks to videos like this and others. Much appreciated! You guys do ROCK!
Melissa, I am watching you with my mouth open. Shaking my head! You make things that are so conflicting easy peasy. Thank you for teaching me. 2 Thumbs up! You have a beautiful day too!
You do such fantastic videos Melissa, I could watch yours all day! By the way, you are looking fantastic‼♥️🔥💯🥰 I sure hope people are telling you that! Thanks for the great video - Dorothy
Thanks for posting this! Your videos are always so informative and helpful! I’m loving Melissas’s nails on her own hand, especially her thumb! Would love to see how she did them.
I've been licensed since 1991 and I have never thought of tip #1. Blew my mind, so easy and common sense. It's those tips that really last. Definitely a Bart "Doh!". I'm really excited to get your ultimate kit, I'm coming from CND and all of your education videos made me want to try your product. Thank you! 😊
Im a home based licensed nail tech, I’m very detailed with my work, I take my time . But once I had a client that said nail techs that work from home should charge less that nail shops. 👀 But then look at the difference in our work.🧐
I LOVE the real time! Do you do your own nails? If so.. does YN have a video tutorial!? Thank you SO much for sharing everything you do! By far.. the very best tutorials I have ever seen. I love the professionalism and the raw info you share.
This is amazing. I only do nine n friends nails at home. I definitely plan to practice these tips at home. Ty so much for this..I have learned so much watching the videos on this channel.
Tip for those of us practicing our beads and applying next to cuticles. I’ve noticed that if I slow down the UA-cam video during these parts, I can see much more clearly what’s going on with the products. It’s helped me a good deal
Great video as always! Can you do a video on how the cuticle and sidewall should look after you have shaped them so you can see how they should be flushed?
This is amazing I learn so much from watching these instruction videos. I’d really like to see a tutorial on a quick way to cut down and reshape almond/stiletto nails. Also I’d LOVE To see a tutorial on the nails the instructor is wearing now @YoungNailsInc
Wow, I really need it this video. Thank you so much. I like the way she used the electronic file to share the sides of the nail to make it square. I would like to do so too, specially when there is an infills and the nail has to be cut down and reshape into another shape. It feels for me that with the normal file it take years to reshape from square to almond or to oval. Thank u it looks easy but in real life is a bit scary no to cut your clients with the electronic file on the sides to reshape. I love you all thank u
I really love it when y’all make these videos!!! But I do have to say that the thing that takes me the longest out of everything I do, and I’m just a Home nail tech I’m not a professional…. Removing product takes me like an hour 😩 Edited; I also I really like how this video is not just all about acrylic he threw gel in there as well 😉
The first tip i did on myself last time because i was tired and it did safe time. I doubted if it was ok to do, i use gel. Also nice because you have the shape guiding you like you said. Oehh that is the perfect summer red, hope i can find it in The Netherlands! No topcoat needed but is it ok to do it anyways? I work with gel only, what long lasting, high shine gel topcoat is best? Bought so many reds but they are not the bright red i am looking for. Is it orange based? A pink based red is also on my hunt, not find it yet. Love the Safety bit! YN you taught me so much and your products are 👌🏼
It’s kind of impossible lol! I wear lighter colors so you really can’t see the scratches. Really it’s just my left hand thumb that I end up filing! 🙃😂😅
This was great information even for home thanks very much appreciate your help just wish could afford the products to do it with some decent stuff lol xxxxx
this video is amazing! a quick question. why the builder gel first then the base gel and builder gel again, instead of base gel everywhere then builder gel on top. does base gel not hold on the nail forms? it got me a little confused. thank you for the answer in advance 😊 and once again i am obsessed these videos!
I’m new to the nail drill still could you tell me the difference between the sanding bans and the ceramic ones? Is there a difference or just preference? Love your videos and how you teach us thank you 😊👍✨❤️
They do not file the same. Sanding bands can be used on the natural nail and enhancements, but ceramic and carbide (metal) bits should never be used on a natural nail. They shave product off rather than sand it off
@@lakaylabushnell2525 that’s absolutely right. The ceramic but it’s cut like a car by bit. We never use a carbide bit on a natural nail. You do use a medium grit arbor band on the natural nails. 😊😉🙌🏼💅🏻✨ Thank you so much! I actually read her comment wrong! Yikes! 🙃
Although your hair is extremely beautiful...one speed hack I can add is to have your hair tied up or in a bun. That way you're not having to move it out of your face all the time, since a nail tech is constantly changing positions! I know my hair, which is similar to hers, is always getting in the way so I always have it put up. It probably saves my at least 5 minutes for each appt.

That's because our nails are made of keratin and they need oxygen to harden. So it's not necessarily damage..when they've been covered for extended periods of time, they get no oxygen to make them hard. Hello, quick question does the protein bond helps the color polish last longer?
Protein bond helps prevent chipping and peeling.
I have extended hyponychium‘s and it sucks I hate it so much, and so often they will split and separate so that like the hyponychium separates from my actual nail plate and it bleeds in it so painful🥵
Great idea if your doing an infill with gel polish but what about when the previous nail are full powder work?

Yes you do it the same way with gel. If it’s a cover color. You just have to use the same color you originally used a they match! 😉😊💅🏻✨🤩
I find when I use go time polish the second coat peels off in areas
If it's only the second coat that's peeling away and the first still remains in tact, you may be applying it too thick and the second coat isn't able to fully cure all the way through. Go Time polishes tend to be very pigmented and when applied too thick, they may not cure all the way. Make sure you are polishing it on in two thin layers for a full cure.
i struggle with getting enough product e.g getting enough acrylic powder - it is bigish but thin (not watery).. maybe its the quality as I practice beading with a cheap amazon kit
I've never used protien bond on an acrylic before the gel or regular polish ...and it sticks fine. Is this a new thing?
Nope, we always use it to help prevent chipping/peeling.
Do I always use protein bond when adding gel polis because I use it as a primer
We use it under gel polish to help prevent chipping/peeling.
Maybe others thought the same and already wrote this.... but she looks like the female version of the grandpa from the animated movie "UP" ☺☺☺☺🥰
The first speed technique will work if you client comes after 2 or 3 weeks with no lifting. If there is they're will be much more to file.
can you do the same process using builder gel ?
Yes!
I'm a DYI and I've tried and tried acrylic powders I'm horrible at it! I just can't and it's so frustrating

Does tip #1 still work if I'm using a different color to fill?
