In this video, I am removing the temperature sensor used by the Blunderbolt V module and installing a temperature switch to allow the temperature alarm horn to work.
If you don’t swap out this temperature sensor your alarm horn won’t work at all or it will operate too early.
Forgive my naivety if that is the case...but if the boat has an alarm that will sound already, is the swap needed? You mentioned that this would sound the horn, so that threw me a bit.
The Thunderbolt V module uses a temperature sensor which can’t be used as a switch to turn on the alarm horn. When the Thunderbolt module is removed (which is the point of the video series) you lose the alarm horn functionality because the sensor can’t switch the horn on and off. I include a new temperature switch to replace the sensor. My switch will turn on the alarm horn at 185 degrees F.
Would be great if you would let people know the part number for the switch being used.
Most of my videos provide free information. But when I put a lot of time and research into creating a unique solution for sale, that information is now a trade secret which I don’t share. With google being available to all its not hard to find.

The answer to your question is in the description of this video. Take the Mercruiser part number and google it for alternatives.
I have a black and a yellow on my temperature switch connector. Do I just connect the yellow after the swap? Thank you
If you followed my directions then the yellow is repurposed. The black is abandoned.
