Yes, you can use Aziderm azalaic acid cream but start 10%. I am also comedonal acne prone skin. I am using the derma co 5% poprolyne oil free moisturiser. You can try this one. This moisturiser is non comedogenic & best.
You can use it long term for 12 months but no longer than 12 months after using 3 months day and night with sunblock if u are want to remove hyperpigmentation than combine it after 3 months with hydroquinone 4

What percentage are u using and how many times? if beginner then use 10% and just twice a week and the build it slowly as ur skin gets used to it. And regarding itching yes it does itch initially.
Maybe u r overusing it if new to use the 10% one and build it slowly use once a week then twice then twice increase it like that and just a pea size amount is enough to cover full face and avoid corner of mouth, corner of nose and eyes area and during the day time spf is necessary.
