@@NYS30 not on my face but on my neck, it didn't last all day.. and no purging at all
This was incredibly helpful thank you so much! I will start using my azelaic acid in the am after my vitamin c serum instead of alongside my tretinoin at night. Also I had no idea azelaic acid was an antioxidant !
Did you experience annoying stings and itchy while on Azelaic acid? Also possible for azelaic acid to surface sort of purging at first using?
Hi! I'm using Azelaic Acid and I experience tingling sensation and itchiness but I think it's just normal.
I wish my dermatologist would've explained this to me. Thanks so much, great video! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Same they just prescribed it and the instructions say use at night on face😒
For mature skin which is better for one who uses Trentenoin, Azelaic acid or Lactic acid?
I just bought this product and had no idea what it was for! Thank u for this info! This was so helpful!
azelaic acid has helped sooo much with my redness and hyperpigmentation!!!! thank you so much! My last dermatologist prescribed topical clindamycin and it didnt rly have any significant effect on my breakouts and skin in general the way azelaic acid has! im so in love

Thank you for talking about pregnancy, many youtubers don't take into account the fact that pregnant and breastfeeding women cannot use certain products.
i have been using it for some months now and i think its doing well! havent had any major breakouts where i use it ( face ) i started 10% then got 20% and now trying on fineacea 15% gel.
Thank you so much for this very informative video! I found your channel just a few weeks ago and it really helps me a lot in questions of skincare. Love from Germany 💕
Hi! That's great! Glad it was helpful! ❤️
I’ve used the Azaleic Acid 15% foam along with a Niacinamide/Licorice root moisturizer and it has helped my redness a lot.
Same for me
Could I ask you what brands are you using? Thanks
Me too
What niacinamide/licorice root product?
@@anonymous6594 two products.
I use CeraVe PM moisturizer during the day over my Azaleic foam but under my sunscreen and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream at night which has licorice (over tretinoin).
Can azelaic acid be used in the same routine as peptides? I have heard peptides and acids shouldn't be used together.
Is the peptides mixed with your moisturizer? That would be great 👍
According to Paula’s Choice, their peptides “can be layered with any other skin-beneficial ingredients.” It’s the copper peptides (which theirs doesn’t include) that shouldn’t be mixed with azelaic acid.
If you use Hyaluronic and azelaic acid, I’ve seen it recommended that you use Hyaluronic first so your skin absorbs and locks in the moisture. This is how I do it.
This is what PC says about Azelaic acid:
“Azelaic acid products ‘play’ well with others, meaning you can layer it into your routine without worry that the azelaic acid will overpower or deactivate other ingredients.” I believe it’s the more potent Azelaic acids that you have to be care about layering.
I see you commented a year ago but hope this helps you or someone else. PC has a ton of really informative articles on their site (accessed from their menu) about each ingredient, if you want to learn more.
Yep, I’m a total PC geek, and have been a diehard fan for years! Lol.
Should Azeliac acid be used on damp skin or dry skin?
I use adapalene + benzoyl peroxide at night, I would like to know if I could use azelaic acid alone in the morning?
I have started to use The Ordinary Azelaic Acid %10 for a couple of days for my type II rosacea and already can see the difference. Thank you for this video!
How do you use it ? Before a moisturizer or after ? I no it's in a basic moisturizing vehicle but I have dry skin and I no it's gonna dry me out if it's All I use ?
@@fallguy6196 I have oily skin but since I got rosacea my cheeks are super dry and flaky. I use moisturizer on top of acids. Azelaic acid is not enough to moisturize by itself, but I think it helped with redness and dryness.
Here is the routine that helped me:
Morning:
la roche-posay toleriane cleanser
medical cream by my dermatologist
the ordinary hyaluronic acid
avene antirougeurs 30 spf
Night:
la roche-posay toleriane cleanser

ordinary azelaic acid
la roche-posay toleriane sensitive creme
Hope this helps!

Thank you for this video Could you please suggest another products to use? thanks again.
This is so helpful. Recently I was prescribed 15% Azelaic Acid gel and so far so good. I'm treating some hyperpigmentation but happy to hear it's so beneficial for a variety of issues.

Thank you for the informative video! I’ve got a question. I’ve used Finacea (Azelaic acid 15%) for over 6 months now and yet no improvement so far though. Maybe I should switch to Skinoren (Azelaic acid 20%) then?
Hi, very useful information.
Can i use in the morning also?
It doesn't lead to hiperpigmentation?
What an amazing video! You resolved every single question I had, thank you!
I am very grateful for your videos on Azelaic Acid. You provide info I don't see from others on UA-cam. One of your videos gave me motivation to stick with my treatment. Once I got through my purge, my skin has cleared up! Now I'm just waiting for my pigmentation to fade.
Did you experience annoying stings and itchy while on Azelaic acid? Also possible for azelaic acid to surface sort of purging at first using?
I've been using azelaic acid Rx for months, and it has had a positive effect on my rosacea and skin texture. This is my question, I've recently started a bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and apply it to my face in the morning. Are there contraindications to using them both, one after the other?

I find the paula's choice azelaic acid a bit irritating and stinging if I put it on dry skin... but not if I use a moisturising serum first. Thank you for this detailed explanation and demo! Your videos have helped me a lot!
Paula’s choice has salicylic acid in it which is likely the reason for the irritation
Your advice is so good and thorough, helpful for me to understand it’s use better xx
Hi - loved your video! If I use hydraluric acid in Am. Would you recommend using this, vitamin C and then azaleic acid?

Should you apply azelaic acid after hyaluronic acid? And what about if currently using dapsone ... before or after?
What about using it with differin gel????
Would you consider making a video on glycolic acid. It would be really interesting to have your personal views on it. Thanks
I get Melazapam off Amazon. It's 20% azeleic acid at about $15 for slightly less than two oz here on the US.

Can azelaic acid be combined with tretinoin in a PM routine? If yes, which one goes first? Thanks 🙏🏻
Sorry to interfare😬
But as she said avoid using azelaic if already using retinoid in routine, so as tretinoin is a retinoid itself so it should be avoided I guess.
You can use both just not at the same time! I do azelaic in the morning and sometimes at lunchtime too as it can be used twice a day! And then I use differin at night. Using prescription strength azelaic acid + a prescription retinoid together has absolutely transformed my skin and is my favourite skincare combo ever. My acne’s healed and my scarring has faded so much, texture completely changed, redness gone! Can’t recommend enough :)
What are some azelaic acid products that you recommend?
What’s better for post erythima azealic acid, adapalene, vitamin c serum, retinol? And which one is not too strong
Dr Dray says azelic acid and retinoids can be used together peacefully. Why the discrepancy?
for some people (especially with sensitive skin) it tends to be irritating, but of course you can use it together if you have no issues with it. I use azelaic in the am, and adapalen in the pm
Perfect video so informative. Can’t wait to try using this and incorporating into my AM routine
Can i use ordinary azelaic acid and Paula's choice salicylic acid exfoliant together?
