This has to be my favorite episode I've seen. Stan seems like such a genuine dude and is a legend for raw powerlifting especially. I remember mirin his vids from back in the day like many others.
Stan Efferding is the the most interesting man in the world! Seriously, I just learned so much about nutrition, cardio, business, bodybuilding, powerlifting and life in general. Stan is the fucking man!
honestly, Stan Efferding is why I subscribed to this channel. I can listen to a guy who doesnt mess around and takes his craft seriously. In other words not a chucklehead
Wow I had to keep stopping this video and going back as to not miss anything. So much great info from Stan and a great powercast all round. Thanks heaps!
Just read through all of the comments on here for some reason or another. Either way. It's interesting how positive and supportive the powerlifting community is. Actually it's amazing. It's good to be a part of. Great content here. Thanks for this.
These powercasts are excellent, in my final year at university and having to work on data analysis, these powercasts have helped make the process a bit easier!
this is one of the most interesting podcasts u guys have done. It covered the old days, different styles of training, some nutrition info, Stans business history, and products. absolutely awesome. Keep it up
This was absolutely fantastic. I had the wrong impression of stan before this. Sounds like a knowledgable, hard working, and humble dude. Massive respect.
Wow this one is quite dense with information! Stan is very intellectual and to see every him bring the knowledgeable side out of everyone else was cool.
Fantastic advice for anyone to take away. Everyone can learn something from this. Thanks for taking the time guys I really appreciate these discussions. This (like others have said) is one my favourites. Keep safe, keep strong. 'Salad is what my food eats’ - Lol genus.
This is a great show. Not the typical "dick talk" you guys sometimes get into. I've always admired Stan Efferding and was excited to see this posted. I learned a lot from listening to this podcast. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
stepping over $100 bills to pick up nickels. BOOM. consistency, dedication, hard work. dude is a legend, well spoken, the real deal. massive respect for Stan, and I'm not even a bodybuilder
Stan really seems like he'd be one of those guys with a Black Belt in iron if there were such a thing. Such a great episode, very soft spoken and well read.
About the subject on sleep. I need to wake up for work at 4 am every day. Its hard for me to get 8 hours straight. Would periodic naps throughout the day help?
amazing one too much useful information and very helpful with hi diet approach instead of the coockie cutter diets, need to bring mark phillipi one day, or ross enamait
Hey Jim, Any chance you could ask Mark (or if you know yourself that would be great) what to do when dieting and your belt doesn't feel like it does anything any more? Cheers Man, Also great Vid as always
still watching... damn this guy is an inspiration and I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of Stan Efferding before you guys started hyping him a couple weeks ago.
Wait. Stan is gonna be at FIBO? Damn, I need to find that rhino. Is he gonna be at some special stall or just visiting? Does anyone have info on that? :D
he gets 8 hrs of sleep? How i never get 8 hrs and i try( eg. lights out 9pm, room blacked out, no lights on 30-45 mins before bed, etc) just cant stay asleep for 8 hrs.
Stan is an intelligent dude. I really enjoyed hearing his thoughts on things. But holy crap dude...4-5 pounds of red meat a day? I can't even imagine how nasty those dumps must have been.
Why do you all wear headphones, do you have a producer giving directions, or do you have music playing in the back ground I am a radio presenter and dont wear headphones anymore ,esp when voice tracking. It just seems weird to see you all wearing cans...... if you were skyping maybe..... Just a thought guys. Great setup btw
Well this over three years ago, and this show has ended now, but we had used Skype pretty regularly up to this point. The cans are 100% required for Skype. Beyond that, the headphones helped people who were not used to talking into a microphone stay on mic, and be less likely to get too loud and clip. I was producing the show, and by the end I was the only one still monitoring (and I was wearing in-ears rather than cans).
Great stuff. Why no talk of PED's? Not starting a war but would really like to hear the cycle this guy runs? Mentions trained 6 days a week with Flex...that wasn't because of his ability to bounce back that's PED's.
One disagreement with the red meat argument. Many people of European decent have hemochromatosis, so heme sources of iron are not good for them. I do agree with the nutrient density though
"healthy for what?" I thought was a GREAT question. In the documentary "The Truth About Cancer." MANY, many people even with stage 4 cancer healed themselves with no chemo. ONE of the MAIN things they changed was their diet. They removed meat and no sugar and ate tons of vegetables. So what goal are you eating for is REALLY important. Detoxing your body only raw vegetables and fruit for a SHORT period of time (1-2 weeks or so), perhaps once every year or two is a really great idea for overall health.
This has to be my favorite episode I've seen. Stan seems like such a genuine dude and is a legend for raw powerlifting especially. I remember mirin his vids from back in the day like many others.
Thanks, Jonnie! We think Stan had a huge impact on the direction of raw powerlifting.
Please feature on this channel, Jonnie!
Joelmws I think Silent Mike mentioned Jonnie in a powercast a couple months back and Mark replied something to the effect of 'Jonnie who?'
Jim, are you ever gonna invite Jonnie on the show?
inv me. ill out lift anybody
Every time I hear Stan talk in videos or on the powercast I'm always impressed by how articulate and smart he is. Good episode!
Stan Efferding is the the most interesting man in the world! Seriously, I just learned so much about nutrition, cardio, business, bodybuilding, powerlifting and life in general. Stan is the fucking man!
Stan was my idol getting into raw lifting. Thanks for the podcast.
honestly, Stan Efferding is why I subscribed to this channel. I can listen to a guy who doesnt mess around and takes his craft seriously. In other words not a chucklehead
Stan would be a great guest on Joe Rogan.
Jon Brunton yes, let’s get him on. How?

Get Dr. Israetel on, would be a great discussion.
Learned a ton from this Power Cast keep them coming! How about a Power Cast with Massthetics?
This is a great show. Not the typical "dick talk" you guys sometimes get into. I've always admired Stan Efferding and was excited to see this posted. I learned a lot from listening to this podcast. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
Thanks! There is only one Stan. Every podcast varies in terms of content from week to week. It's natural.
Stan is so knowledgeable he's a cool dude love to meet him
Stan is such a boss, so much respect to that guy. Great powercast
liked before i even started to watch.
awesome show
Dude I love Stan
Great video! Stan is a savage.
stepping over $100 bills to pick up nickels. BOOM. consistency, dedication, hard work. dude is a legend, well spoken, the real deal. massive respect for Stan, and I'm not even a bodybuilder

Stan really seems like he'd be one of those guys with a Black Belt in iron if there were such a thing. Such a great episode, very soft spoken and well read.
Great episode! Good to see Silent Mike being silent for a change.
About the subject on sleep. I need to wake up for work at 4 am every day. Its hard for me to get 8 hours straight. Would periodic naps throughout the day help?
Great videos! Thanks for the great information! I was just wondering, will you guys be attending the FIBO exhibition in Germany?
Stan will be there this year. We would love to in the future.
aah okay, I hope to meet you guys one day. Thanks for the reply
Can anyone link me to the creatine study Stan mentioned (no significant effects after 90 days)?
Good news !!!
For someone who drinks far over a gallon of water per day, what do u recommend to increase sodium levels during times I'd down a jug of water?
stan's the man! my diet lately is mostly just eggs and red meat, not in that order
I was still listening lol!
amazing one too much useful information and very helpful with hi diet approach instead of the coockie cutter diets, need to bring mark phillipi one day, or ross enamait
stan was not feeling that bigger stronger fast joke at 56:20 lmao
what is the theme song they use at the start of these videos??
+travel si It's not really a song. It's a production music bed. You can't really buy it anywhere.
I think one of the only times seen mark looking small at the table!
Hey Jim, Any chance you could ask Mark (or if you know yourself that would be great) what to do when dieting and your belt doesn't feel like it does anything any more? Cheers Man, Also great Vid as always
Tighten it up or get a smaller one?
I get that but even when tight feels like there is no added support, in fact i am just as efficient wearing it as not wearing it
Our paragon for dispelling the dumb meathead stereotype. Love the Rhino
So simple, yet so many people just don't get it... it doesnt matter what you eat it's calories in calories out. Stan is a knowledgeable guy!
still watching... damn this guy is an inspiration and I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of Stan Efferding before you guys started hyping him a couple weeks ago.
Thats not what he said at all.
well he said thats the most important thing, worry about net calories, then start playing with macro ratios skatesquam

Mike was on episode #7, which was audio only: supertraining.tv/2013/10/mark-bells-powercast-episode-7-mike-ohearn/
he gets 8 hrs of sleep? How i never get 8 hrs and i try( eg. lights out 9pm, room blacked out, no lights on 30-45 mins before bed, etc) just cant stay asleep for 8 hrs.
I wish you guys could just have Stan and/or Layne Norton on every week.
"If you've been to Wal-Mart you know we need smart people to have babies." -Silent Mike Lolz
Rhinos are smart as fuck man
LMAO at 45:40, should be a t shirt, Mark Bell "give the bikini girls more meat"
Stan is an intelligent dude. I really enjoyed hearing his thoughts on things. But holy crap dude...4-5 pounds of red meat a day? I can't even imagine how nasty those dumps must have been.
fucking great podcast

Stan looks like the comic book bane.
Jim McD actually sounds young lol.
Let's hear Candito or Chris Duffin please
Duffin coming soon
Sean Hokanson We'll see what we can do. I talked to Pete the other day at the Arnold. We like him a lot.
"healthy for what?" I thought was a GREAT question.
