  • Welcome to 2017!
Stan Efferding returns to the show for our first episode of the new year. We talk about how your success in business is shaped by how you get started, and about how very small changes in your diet and workout plans yield the biggest results. Attention to detail is important, but how do you decide which details to focus on? Stan shares his well-reasoned point of view.
What are your goals for 2017? Leave then in the comments below.
You can find Stan at: thekooler.com: www.thekooler.com/ and everywhere at @stanefferding.

Stan is a salesman first and foremost. He claims Whole Foods are best to eat for protein but sells a cooler that has room for 2 protein drinks. Another supplement he leaves out that hes taking is the obvious....

Yakushii the only thing stupid is your logic. Ever think that maybe he has the nickname for a completely different reason? For example, if your nickname was panda. It would NOT be because the panda is a cute animal, but rather because the panda is widely known and accepted as being one of the dumbest animals.

He is incredibly knowledgeable on every aspect of gym knowledge...there's too many wanna be's on you tube/ social media talking unfounded or what they perceive to be factual its actually hillarious when I hear someone quoting fools like Ct. Fletcher, Rich Piana, Kali Muscle etc.

I don't see what's difficult about fixing weigh ins to make it legit. Weigh someone first, if they make weight let them fight or compete, then weigh them again after. If it's mma or boxing and they fail the post match weight, they give their purse to the opponent. If it's powerlifting, your records don't count. Then people will compete at their actual weight, instead of it being a competition on who can cut the most weight.

I can buy that study, I don't think it disputes what Stan is saying though. In context, he was talking about being active, if you both sit a lot, and you're active a lot, then if there are bad effects they are probably much more negligible and hard to measure. If you JUST sit, than obviously that's unhealthy, you don't need a study to tell you that.

  • @capoman1

No offense to Mark or anyone, I'm going to comment on physical appearance and some info I've seen elsewhere linked with the way the head looks on anabolics... So if you ever watch the VigorousSteve channel, he talks about PEDs (along with moreplatesmoredates), and he himself was 250ish or so and lean ripped. Steve has all of his hair and he is only about 30. He looked alot like Mark does in this video, potato head, similar jaw line... Then Steve came off gear completely this year and has lost 60+lbs mostly muscle he is same leanness and is now trim at 190ish. Steve looks like a totally different human in the neck and face area after just 6 months away from the gear and the weights. He looks perhaps 10+ years younger, and just plain more natural and handsome in the face since returning to a fairly "natural" hormone status. Just something to consider if you are playing around in this realm for looks or vanity, the head and neck area are common to take on a certain look that you may not like, something to consider or weigh into your thoughts.

Stan changed my life for the Better. I struggled with finding the right nutrition protocol for me for 35 years. Got in the vertical diet and my mind and body have changed in such positive ways.
In addition I’m able to squat again after learning the rippetoe method from Stan.

Espresso isn't that strong, roasting reduces caffeine, espresso tastes strong, but very little caffeine. Light roasted coffee has a lot more.

This episode was awesome! Didn't know much about Stan going in (besides that he's really f-ing strong) and was kind of expecting him to be a meathead but that was probably the most informational show I've seen. Keep up the great work!
