- In this weeks episode, we meet Kyron and Natalia who live in a stunning urban industrial styled tiny house in Auckland, New Zealand. The couple refer to their home on wheels as a tiny mansion, and they are right! This tiny house is packed full of luxurious and clever design features which make living in this home a dream.
With a love of food and cooking this tiny house has been designed around a large and functional kitchen. With a spacious lounge area opening out onto a private deck and wonderful surrounding bush setting, this home is wonderfully suited for entertaining.
The tiny home’s urban location shows how well these tiny houses are capable of fitting into existing city infrastructure and can help to increase urban density with a minimal environmental impact.

Wow this is a pretty well designed gem. This with last week’s ep and Lisa and Matts ultra modern tiny hose may be fighting it out for most complete tiny house that you’ve covered. Very functional and beautiful.

Could we have a mini series on the ugly side(Realistic view) of tiny house living and how do owners deal with them? eg. Bugs/ mosquitos, plumbing, roof leakage , corrosion, etc.
Beautiful home and the lay out was well planned; but to me $200,000 is very expensive but like Kyron said the average homes in that area run over a million dollars so I guess if you look at it that way, $200,000 is a mere fraction of that.

"This place is zoned to be able to put 3 houses. But if you were to do that you'd have to chop down all these beautiful trees. Whereas we were able to slide in with the Tiny House and only had to chop down 1."
This is yet another reason I love tiny homes. The philosophy of using space to it's full potential
I would add: And don't have to damage the nature around. One of the reasons I love tiny houses as well. Showing some respect to the nature aroud us, there are not only people living there.

That’s nice it’s zoned for that. But many places in the US anyway, the house has to be at least 1,000 sq feet to be considered a house, to beable to be in a subdivision. This would be an RV in most places. 🤔 I “believe” 400 sq ft. and under in “considered” a tiny house. This is reallly nicely put together though I love it. The height makes it so airy. Would be must. 👍 Good job!

This tiny is considerably larger than the standard tiny so feels more like a home. Nicely done but the land is the key, as always. Finding a suitable piece of land to put a tiny home on continues to be the real challenge and obstacle to tiny house living.
Stay focused on the WHAT & the HOW makes itself known, mate!!
Why is the land such a big challenge? What is required of the land in order to build a tiny house on it?
@@andreas543 it has to do with building codes. Tiny houses are considered mobile homes like a camping trailer, so they're not permanent structures.
Tiny house living is a scam, made for people with tiny minds and return nothing of value since it’s not a real home, it’s like chopping your car in half then expecting the value to go up lmao

I really love this one! The layout and space makes it feel like a regular size house w all the amenities and not “tiny”. The privacy wall in each loft is perfect. If my hubby toured this one i could get him on board! That kitchen has more counter space then my 1200sf house.

This is the first tiny house I'd consider moving to cause of how spacious and homey the den and living space is. Feels like you actually have 2 separate rooms to hang out

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Most of them have ridiculous storage options that are a major pain in the ass to access.
Hos kitchen design is amazing. And the secondary rooms are really well designed

After seeing plenty of videos on this channel I just have to say - I LOVE BRYCE. He always brings the positive vibes, asks relevant questions and seems genuinely sooo intrested in every part of each person's home. Would love to have him as a friend. Always so kind and loving! They seem so genuinely happy!!! Thats so wonderful :) Having those sectioned off spaces, even though you cant stand up really makes it seem really spacious. Also the "buy furniture and dont add the feet" is SO SMART! Good for them

Every time I say I've found my favorite tiny house, I come across an art piece like this and have to update my favorite status. This is now the trophy holder. It's so spacious, the kitchen is the best I've seen in any tiny home, and you can stand in the lofts, making them a viable space to relax in.

This is one of the best-designed tiny homes I’ve seen. It lives like a much bigger home. Love the kitchen and the spacious bathroom. I so enjoy your channel and find so much inspiration here. I live in a vintage trailer home in FL, which almost qualifies as a tiny home.
Honestly think the previous one was far superior, it did utilise the space way more effectively and especially between the stairs connecting the two rooms

This is one of the few tiny homes I wouldn't feel like I sacrificed anything by reducing my carbon footprint.

I like how he said he sees a future where he lives in a community of tiny homes because I was thinking how great it would be to create communities of these homes that house low-income people, people on or below the poverty line, and people suffering from homelessness. tiny homes are largely cost-efficient, better for the environment, and great quality-they could be used to aid the housing issues we see globally! it’s definitely possible for government expenditures to be redirected in a way that funds this kind of project.

@@AC-qo8oq A friend of mine lives in a trailer park. This park used to have a rules that the mobile homes had to be huge, the kind that cost thousands of dollars just to move, but they did away with the size restrictions. A least one tiny house has moved in. It will be interesting to see what develops.
I think a lot of people including myself see this being a future for sure. Me personally I see this being a thing in 2nd world countries where housing is actually a huge issue.

I think adding last week’s ‘sunken bedroom floor/raised kitchen ceiling’ idea to this house would make it damn near perfect, you’d just need to turn the orientation of the bed and move the wardrobe to the opposite wall.. maybe bringing the Japanese style panels around the corner to the top of the stairs? 🤔 At any rate, super inspiring!

This tiny 'mansion' is one of my favourites. Looks so big. I love the interior design and this is by far the most beautiful kitchen I have seen in a tiny house. Love the black tiles as a backsplash in the kitchen and the floortiles in the bathroom. Love the outside deck and the location, nestled in between the trees and so close to the ocean. One word : stunning.

I LOOOVVVEEE this house! One thing I got to see on this episode that I haven’t seen on any other so far is the screen idea he had giving privacy to the lofts while allowing light to still come through. I love it and I’m probably going to steal his idea! ♥️
I’ve never seen a tiny house with two defined rooms. The kitchen and bathroom are bigger than the ones in average houses. He utilized the space so well.

Absolutely fabulous , the house , the location . & being surrounded by bush land . This is the way to live .
This is like loft condo living, in the middle of nature and near the beach, but also near the CBD...for less than 1/20th of the price of houses in the area!!! No compromises on the quality either, especially the kitchen. Just...PERFECT

I think I'd rather be upright in a Manhattan apartment than crawling around my bed in a tiny house, to be honest. I like the idea of a small footprint, but not being able to stand up is a hard pass for me.

This Tiny Home was built with his vision in mind. Maybe he should go into the business of designing custom tiny homes based on what people's needs are. While I truly loved everything about this tiny, as a early "senior" and looking into my future years, I would have to have a design where everything was on the main level. The is probably one out of five of my favorite Tiny Homes I have come across. With the prices of real estate in his area, $200,000 seems like the way to go especially for the high end materials used in his build. What a stunning tiny home. ❤💛💙💚💜

Gorgeous. That’s the kitchen that I would need and that bathroom is luxurious. I wish I could find a place like that here in the USA to build my tiny house.
This series has been extremely helpful to me. For the past 2 years I have been building my own home on a rather unusual footprint. My house is long but narrow. I have pulled a lot of design elements from the houses that I have seen on this channel! The house has a lot of square footage, but because of the shape it has a lot of tiny house inspired features. I like to say that I am building a very large tiny house.

They remind me of the long narrow shot gun shacks of old that are found in places like New Orleans.

Well, you'd better start practicing on a tree house or small garden shed/house ... i'm pretty confident you could pull that off with a little help from dad (or a good clever kit).
That is a nice plan! You can start learning carpentry already. Building bird houses etc.

When I heard the price I was skeptical but then I thought, why not? The point is not to save money, but as he said, to reduce our footprint and live more sustainably. If people can do that without sacrifising the luxury of using high quality materials, then why not? Good job.

I am a chef so seeing what Kyron has done in the kitchen is fabulous! The more I see what can be done the more I'm excited to try this lifestyle myself. While I appreciate what earthship homes can do to recycle, I like what Kyron said about "in a year's time nobody would ever know we were here." I love that. Thank you so much for this opportunity to see such a beautiful tiny home. I am learning that a smaller footprint means time for a fuller and more impactful life.
