Hey tiny house fans! This weeks episode was so much fun to film. Mitch and Taj are such cool people and it was so great to see the amazing home they have designed for their young family. We hope you enjoy the tour! With love, Bryce & Rasa
You have no idea ,as a retired teacher and home restorationist how wonderful it is to experience this family's home. Bryce and Raisa made it easy to feel at home. Such a good tour and photograghy . Stay well all.
In case Taj sees this message, re your Early Childhood degree, you might be interested in John (Caldwell) Holt's work and books, and Peter Gray's at Freedom to Learn (find him at Psychology Today). They're not the big names, like Piaget and similar, but they made - and in Gray's case, is still making - an incredible contribution re their observations of learning and experience in children (young, and older). You'll probably find their perspectives particularly intriguing, because they tie into your holistic and free-range lifestyle. P.S. Gorgeous tiny home! Love it.
The look of incredulity on Bryce's face at finding out the cost of the toilet and his remarks after 😂 totally cheered me up from my moodiness... highlight of the video for me 😆 great video as always!
Why am I not surprised that Taj is going into education? She has all those warm and approachable vibes that characterize great teachers/mentors. This home feels so cozy and functional!
Not only is your home beautiful, the love you have for each other and your kids is so delightfully obvious. A true pleasure to watch from start to finish.👍🏾
something like 'purposefully creative'. i really appreciated her explanation of toys and mess/order. just a brilliant blend of play & control. this video has had a deep effect on me - a heavy weight lifted. thank you.
Bryce’s tiny house videos are always a stand out. Unfailingly enthusiastic, supportive & kind, he also knows the questions to ask that those of us enamored of tiny houses & contemplating making a move ourselves. Enjoyable to watch & highly informative. 💚
I love how this couple have custom built a home that’s perfectly in synch with their values and lifestyle. Bryce gets a lot of (fully deserved) praise for his on-camera style, but I am always really impressed with Rasa’s camera work and editing. Loved how you seamlessly integrated their home videos into the commentary, and how we see Taj opening the bi-fold and then you cut to the drone shot of the two of them opening up the house. Genius!
This was a great example for how you can make it work with kids. I would have enjoyed seeing Rasa filming Bryce crawling through to the kid's room. Lol. Very nice young family, wishing them the best.🧡💛
Another great video, Rasa & Bryce! I liked all the creative attention to detail that reflected this family's priorities - another reason to design and build a home just the way you want it. And it's definitely not a cookie cutter design. Even though I enjoyed all of it, I think my favourite moment was the excitement that Bryce showed about the acquisition of the toilet. That made me laugh out loud. 😆
Good to see that they're already thinking about when the children will outgrow their current bedroom. Buying two more tiny houses and extending the deck would give the children homes they can take with them.
Beautiful home Mitch and Taj! I love this layout, super functional, especially the wardrobes. Brilliant idea! I also love how you colour coordinated your books! ❤😄
I noticed that as well!! It’s funny what kinds of things some people notice… I do the same things with my books and cloths in the closet!! Great video and a perfect tiny home, imo!! Blessing to you and ALL!!
I love these visits to family's in a tiny home. It just shows that anyone can do it and have an amazing home. I'll go get that coffee going. Thanks Rasa and Bryce!
It's a perfect design with lots of room for the family now! They know that they will require more space as the children grow into young adults! 😊 Cheers,Sandy&Andy
Everything was so cleverly designed with the entire family in mind. There is definitely opportunity to add on another section. Their deck area is fabulous! Nice young couple!
I absolutely love the respect and enthusiasm Bryce expresses to every Tiny House owner he visits. It makes me want to have a tiny house, just to invite him

It's a moving movement of masterpieces in never ending wonder and awe of these homemakers and their motivational storeys of sustainable living. Thank you for this episode that resonated so well with me as I have an Association of Montessori International Diploma😊
After I've watched tiny houses here in youtube,I felt amazed them because that's what I've dreaming for..and I'm kind like obsessed to watch it and try to learn the ideas that they have or how they built it.I just loving it sooo much❤that's really my dream one day.
Very beautiful tiny house, the big windows, sliding doors and deck really make it feel so much more spacious. The kids loft though is gonna be real small, real fast. Love their idea of adding a second tiny house for the kids rooms later.
What a lovely space for a family of four! Scenic parking spot and off grid to boot. I love the decking. Beautiful functioning kitchen. Spacious bathroom. The children's space is well-designed. It would be interesting, as they kids grow, what modifications this family makes to their living quarters. Bryce and Rasa must do a follow-up in the years to come.
Thanks Bryce thanks Rasa, thanks to to Mitch & Taj for letting us see through their lovely home... Such a loving couple, cute kids, safety rails around the patio that is very sensible. What a lovely home and lovely family! I am also an Early Childhood Educator, in Canada, and I work in a Reggio Emilia inspired daycare. Loved seeing their children looking at The Wonky Donkey book!
Even though I'm not a loft type person, I really like this design. It's something I think I would really like, UT I would definitely have to have a downstairs bedroom because being older I'm not too great with stairs. I would definitely keep both lofts for guests and storage. Just put a bedroom behind the bathroom and it would be the perfect setup. Great design ya'll! Bruce, happy trails and safe travels to you!

The living room/lounge area is a great size in this house, with room for them to change as the kids grow. They certainly have room for a longer sofa in the future, or to add a reading chair. And having the office corner is a great feature as well. The projector screen is perfect as it both eliminates the need for an actual TV, and also provides extra privacy in the evenings. (Obviously the need for privacy is dependent on where they the home is parked.) And their kitchen has more counter and cabinet space than I've had in any standard house I've ever lived in. 🙂
With the lower shower tap the kids like to get into, you can get vandal proof taps so they can't be turned on without the tap key. When the kids are older, change the tap back to a normal one.

I admit, I was side-eyeing a secondhand toilet until Bryce said it was $4000, lol. Well done, Mitch and Taj!
