- After so many years in the works, I’m so excited to finally be able to share a tour of our very own tiny house on wheels in New Zealand. I started this project almost 5 years ago now, and it’s wonderful to now be able to share the finished home with you. For those of you who have been following my journey since the very beginning, you’ve been waiting a long time for this one!

At roughly 15 square meters (160 square feet) this tiny home is completely off the grid, generating all of its power from the sun and collecting rain water. It’s designed to fit into the dimensions for legal travel on New Zealand’s roads

Currently parked up in an urban driveway, this home is designed to be simple, affordable and easily relocated, as what first attracted me to the idea of tiny homes was the concept of being able to own a home without owning the land that it sits on. While the home may be simple, it’s everything that we need! I hope you enjoy the full tour.

A year ago, Bryce said they were approaching 2 million subscribers. As I am watching this today (4-5-2021), they are approaching 4 million! It’s wonderful how he has found so much enjoyment while doing something that is so enjoyed by so many. Watching the videos he and his wife put together about such a variety of tiny homes is relaxing and a real joy. Thanks so much, you two!!

Bryce is the ONLY guy who is big brain enough to have 3 sinks! That, to me, is a satisfaction that I never found with people with small houses in his other videos.

All this time until today, I thought this channel was a corporately run channel 😂 It was TOO well edited and produced for me to believe it was a personal project. Also the host was TOO well articulated AND handsome for him to possibly be just another UA-camr in my eyes. I assumed you were hired and stared in many other shows. You were just TOO good at your job! It all makes sense now that I know you are an experienced actor, but I still can’t believe just how well crafted your videos are. I almost feel guilty getting all this quality content for free. Please do inform us if there is any way we can support this incredible channel!

I'm surprised there aren't tiny home communities in Florida. To have a 2nd home there for a few months would be great and this would be perfect. I guess you never have to experience snow & ice in New Zealand like we do in the north part of the United States. 👣😎👍

Nope, as he noted earlier - he lives on the road (in planes and hotels I assume). Given the nature of the show I don't believe he's going to be using it for anything more than a summer / winter villa. Still it is the better choice than having an expensive home that sits empty most of the time...

Even those of us who will never be able to downsize to a Tiny House get a lot of benefit from your shows. I love using the many ideas to increase storage and flexibility in my own home. And I love seeing the work of skilled carpenters, cabinet makers, designers, and craftspeople. I look forward to many more episodes.
This house is absolutely gorgeous and practical. I just noticed book the plant paradox accompanied by the cookbook and just wanted to make a comment to check out Blue Zones by Dan Buettner and The Proof is in the Plants by Simon Hill. The Blue Zones studied the healthiest living populations around the world not just the oldest but the ones that thrived into their old age like the Adventists in Loma Linda who are still working in their 80s and 90s, physically active and thriving on grains, beans and legumes as a major source of their diet. Most lectins are destroyed after cooking massively reducing the levels, who's eating this stuff raw in the first place? The majority of the developed western world are not getting the majority of their energy from whole plants and they're the ones with the chronic diseases. The China Study for decades observed how populations in rural China started developing and dying of the chronic diseases in the West after adding more western foods into their diet. These chronic diseases are preventable, your genes are not your destiny. Lifestyle and diet determine about 80% of your health. Peace and love to you all :)

Seeing his excitement, hearing his little bit of nervousness, get emotional awww that was so cute. The beautiful designs on the desk seat, the mirror, etc is just beautiful. The only thing that though me off was the couch, because it doesn't look comfortable at all for the back. Everything else felt perfect for them and what works for them.
The location, the situation, with a passive solar orientation just where shall we park the tiny house? A question worthy of substantial reflection, introspection and mindfulness:How much land would be good? How good is good enough? Questions only you can ask and answer. Kay a few things: One, ur an actor and was in Spartacus! Two, this isn’t a TV show. Three, this channel had been my anti stress/anxiety therapy for years. Four, hope you get ur own show in a network coz ur an amazing host. Five years, got my own tiny home coz of this show.
If he gets his own network show we wouldn't be see him showing all these we'll done tiny homes. He needs sponsors to continue making these awesome videos and he and Bryce can have a permanent tiny home with ALL the amenities inside and outside. Outdoor living is a plus these days.
It's crazy his own tiny home video has been watched almost by 5 millions people which the same number of people actually citizens of his own country ( New Zealand). I agree that cooking outside is the preferred option. When possible. This is a clean, well planned, mobile(!) tiny home. We all just love Bryce’s enthusiasm and have learned SO MUCH from his videos... oh and including his books and the lovely inlays.. A lot of legit living possibilities in a legit tiny home. Congrats, you two!
I do this in the studio I live. They call up a duplex but it's actually just a large studio... of course I looked for one with a garden so I can cook outside, especially fish or meat.
I ADORE your kitchen sink, Bryce, with its dual covers and "drip" center, which I assume is also for quick washing up of the random fork. ツ I'm going to steal that idea! The seed of life geometry resonates deeply with me, and the abalone is not only gorgeous, but brings the touch of the sea--the cradle of life. That it was created by a friend adds so much. Your joy in your home is palpable, Bryce. May that joy fill and surround you and your beloved for many years to come. (BTW, I believe your nearly 2 million subscribers are due to your glowing heart and lovely, uplifting, loving demeanor more than anything else.❤ )

I would like to see a handrail for your stairs. Just in case. 😯
Yep definitely prefer a handrail for the steps. Including the extra height on the step up top plus narrowing of steps, its rather hazardous. Unfortunately the roof is pitched too sharply for my comfort and having to angle yourself to get into bed plus no headroom. Loft access and headroom are probably the most problematic for me in tiny homes. Steps are better than a ladder though. Also the feeling of claustrophobia if having to walk through narrow spaces (not referring to this particular home) but this can be alleviated by well thought out design.
Great host of this show though. His passion comes through.
@@romanvssvmromania The cool thing about working from home and setting your own schedule, is that you can get up and move around and take breaks whenever you like. As long as you move often, (which you should anyways) it will be fine. :)

I lived in a tiny home I bought in NC Appalachian Mountains. It was my heart ❤️ I loved the simplicity and the fact it drew me outside more. I sold it for a small fortune and now I wish for another tiny home in a place I have never been to experience more in life. Tiny homes Rock. Love your show!

@@jaybeecee1949 I'd like to build my own life too, I worked in McDonald's since I was 16 but all my money went to my mom cause she didn't want to work. If not then with all the paychecks I had until now (🔞) I'd rent a house in a big city and start working a better job, cause in the rural areas in East Europe there's no job other than cashier.

Browsing, I came across these tiny house videos and I have been binge watching them with great enjoyment. Aside from the amazing homes and stories, I think you come across as a genuine and very nice person. You are passionate about your new profession and treat your tiny home guests kindly. I would love to see a tutorial from your builder re custom inlay patterning in the timber, cut outs for the sinks and construction of your timber bathroom sink. These are beautiful features which add the personal touches we love to see in our homes. The idea that some of these could be DIY for those of us on a tight budget is incredibly empowering!

Your channel is such an inspiration to me giving me an idea about living in a tiny house, preferably by next year or so i'll be moving in my own house, since im renting for now, Its just a small one perfectly for me. There are other you tube channels about tiny houses but it didn't catch my interest. But when I accidentally watch one on Living Big in a Tiny House with you Bryce who was so speaking enthusciastically, I got hooked. I live in a big house I inherited from my parents with 5 bedrooms, very big living room,dining room and a big kitchen. I renovated the master's bedroom to suit my taste and has become my haven. After my work in my clinic and hospital rounds, I stay in my room to go down only to eat. I don't even get to see the other bedrooms where my nephews and nieces stay. I don't even get to watch TV in the TV area because I prefer the solitude of my bedroom. Sometimes, I spend some time tending to my flower garden as my stress reliever but that's far and between. When I saw your you tube channel, an idea has started in my mind to build a tiny house away from our compound. I hope this will happen in the future when I can get a land with a view that I like.....some sort of a retirement home.

Wow I love the outdoor shower and the sink design being able to have big sinks is a must but the fact you can cover them most of the time is a big winner!
