It's nicer when you look back to your beginnings. That is actually why people followed you. It makes you feel more grounded and humble. The old Marina is better than the present one. Good luck on your future.
I love how you enjoy the process of moving. I remember back then I am scared of that situation. I look at you in admiration as to how encouraging it is to stay positive in many changes in life! Especially that I am a mother too! Enjoy your vacation Marina. I am Rufa from Philippines.
I lived in the same building in San Francisco and at the time your video was recommended to me you lived in the Solaire building but I recognized the area! Now I live in LA area (Santa Monica) and I can't imagine moving back to SF.
I don’t blame you, San Francisco is a rough town to raise a child. It’s not safe either. Menlo Park is near the heart of the major tech companies. If you’re looking for alternatives I recommend Sunnyvale and Cupertino, maybe even Santa Clara. I grew up in San Jose, but its a little on the ghetto side depending on which neighborhood. But places like Willow Glen and Rose Garden area are desirable. North valley side on First St. and Milpitas are nice. I also lived sometime in LA, they have that whole venice beach tech scene thing going on if you wanna be up and down Abbott Kinney. I also recommend Pasadena, dunno if there are any major tech things happening in that part of LA. Silver Lake & Echo Park neighborhoods if you want that mission district vibe. Hope things workout for you!
I looked at 399 Fremont 10 months ago and ended up in 299 Fremont. I just left 2 weeks ago. It would have been fun to see you on the street.. but maybe it will happen in the future. I was in LA for 10yrs, if you can deal with the traffic, it’s amazing! I wish you and your family the best!
Life has changed so much in San Francisco, when I lived there in the late 80s and early 90s, the city was so bohemian, there was such an unbelievable mix of people, individuals, artistic, rich, middle class and poor, people worked in small jobs like bookstores, small clothes stores, they weren’t so wrapped up with money ,money, money ...people did fun things with their spare time, they seem to have had more time for that, and just enjoyed being out together, living costs were much cheaper also. San Francisco today seems like it’s nothing but how much more money you can make. It makes me sad, It just seems that everybody is just obsessed with materialism. It used to be you could enjoy so many different facets of life,
Move to Danville in the Tri-Valley area. We live here. My husband used to work for Square in SF and commuted there everyday, but now he is working remote. The school district here is the best not only in California, but between US and Canada is one of the best. It is different from city life as in SF, but it is perfect for raising a family. It would be cheaper than living in SF. We might move in few months out of state, since we would save and invest the difference of the money, but I personally love to live with my family here. I lived in big cities such as Tokyo, Japan and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Also, in Vladivostok, Russia which I wouldn't call it big city, but it is big for the East side of Russia. So, I get the appeal of big cities, but I love to live in a community with other families around to raise my kids. Plus, this is the area where some rich folks have their houses in the hills (sort of the Malibu of the Bay Area). Kristi Yamaguchi lives in Alamo (Back of Danville) with her family and the movie "Mrs. DoubtFire" with Robin Williams was shot here in Bridges Restaurant. Many other celebrities have houses here on the hills. People here used to commute to SF or Drive to San Jose for the tech companies there. It is a good option. Lots of parks to take our kid to play. They have splash pads, good space for back yards and communities have pools and playgrounds inside besides the city parks and playgrounds. Plus, if you want Russian company. I always see and hear Russian families in playgrounds here. True right now, you can go to parks, but as soon as everything opens again, you will see more families in the parks. Although, parks here are not empty. You see families and friends getting together and sitting in beach chairs with some social distancing in place and enjoying a sunny afternoon in the park with their kids. It is a very safe area, around Blackhawk in Danville. All the area around the Blackhawk Museum. I hope you find what you are looking for to live with your family.
Time to turn the page and start exploring a new things! Good luck, Silicon Valley Marina, I know you can do it! Just want to say, that I'm the lucky one in this life, because I follow you! Thank's for the feeling of openness and the inspiration!

Malibu is one of my favorite places in California! You have to checkout Sunlife Organics at the Malibu Country Mart, they are the best for smoothies and acai bowls.
Malibu Country Mart is lovely. Quiet and open. Kinda old fashioned too which is part of its charm. And you’ll see lots of famous people too but very low key. But I’m leaving this comment kind of late - you may have already moved on! Hope you got to see it while you were in the Boo.
