I remember being 27 and traveling so much and experiencing different places (SF was one of the faves), and now that I'm in my 30's, i really value my peace and independence! But yes, as you grow older your taste matures and you grow so comfy in your skin and the simple things that makes you happy.

I’m 42 and as I got older, I realized time is just much more valuable to me. I no longer do things I don’t want to do, or capitulate to appease others. Success is no longer measured by dollars, instead with the free time I have to do what I want to make me happy. I remind myself everyday that I’m not going to live forever, so I’m not going to waste another minute of it being upset, bitter, or resentful and instead just be kinder to the people I care about. Life is not much more than that.
That place you sat overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge discussing age brought back memories. I first visited San Francisco as a teen with my parents in 2007, and I mainly talked with my brother about which parts of the city look like San Fierro in GTA San Andreas lol. Fast forward 10 years and I was on a California road trip with my fiancé, revisiting everything but with a completely different lense and mature appreciation of life. I also visited a few months ago, now with my wife of 7 years and aging parents. That vista you were at just really hit me with all the memories across the years and how much time passes but simultaneously the appreciation I have for getting older.
As a fellow Californian (San Francisco Bay Area Native) who spent my 30s in San Francisco proper (Cow Hollow) and who has lived (UES) and worked in NYC (Wall Street/now WFH) the last 29.5 years, this was a special treat, Taylor! You were all over my old stomping grounds on Union Street, Pacific Heights, the Marina, Polk Street, and Russian Hill! Safe travels!

You hit the spot on noticing when you getting older. I feel being in committed relationships/marriage makes these experiences flash by and dont notice until after time. Right now, I am single and Im in this weird spectrum of trying out the things i liked to do before but I find out its not me anymore so Im in discovery mode on what I like now at my new age.
Wow, San Francisco is so beautiful. Now I want to go there too! And what you said about changing while getting older, it´s true. I´m 41 now and notice already at movies that my taste changed a lot. Evolving is a part of life. How boring would it be if you stayed at the same level for good? So, you´re right. There´s nothing sad about it.

This video just reminded me how much I miss SF. I lived in SF for 10 years but had to move for contract work. My father who is was a local is buried in SF and half of my family are still living in Sausalito. I can’t wait to go back and visit.
The song.... the bridge..... it sure brings back memories. Once I had a parent who was in the UCSF hospital. There is a lab on the 8th or 11th floor that has massive floor to ceiling windows on the whole wall facing the bridge. From that room the bridge looks super up close and personal. Like it's the coolest and most majestic view of the bridge that you can get. It's magical. When you first walk into the room for the first time it is STUNNING to see. The bridge is so up close. --That was a little trip down memory lane. 6 minutes ago I had forgotten the Golden Gate bridge even existed. You have the coolest name. It sounds snappy. I am a little disappointed with your parents though that they didn't go with Tinker.

Another great video! I was in San Francisco this past week and loved the weather. It was nice to be somewhere that was in the 60s and sunny compared to NYC which is pretty cold right now. It was interesting to hear you talk about how you notice that you're getting older. I'm in my early 40s now and didn't really feel old until I was around 38-40. The best part of getting older is that you care less and less about what others think about you. You feel more confident in yourself and just know more - it's awesome despite the gray hairs which are annoying haha. Can't wait to hear about your trip to Lisbon. Another great video! I was in San Francisco this past week and loved the weather. It was nice to be somewhere that was in the 60s and sunny compared to NYC which is pretty cold right now. It was interesting to hear you talk about how you notice that you're getting older. I'm in my early 40s now and didn't really feel old until I was around 38-40. The best part of getting older is that you care less and less about what others think about you. You feel more confident in yourself and just know more - it's awesome despite the gray hairs which are annoying haha. Can't wait to hear about your trip to Lisbon. Portugal is a beautiful amazing country. Btw, I saw that you were holding a book on the plane. What book is it? I'm always looking for great book recs! Happy Holidays!
You are wise beyond your years. You are 27, I am 57. I remember how I felt in my 20s. I don't want to partake in that any more. However, my wife and I still have a lot of fun.
