The 4 blank spots in the back are due to a parts shortage. They are normally for the USB's and 12V's. Heated and Ventilated are on the rear dials, push to select.

Very outstanding SUV it looks like the Grand Wagoneer from the side. This baby has a quiet cabin make you fall 💤 asleep quickly probably relieve stress from a rough day driving around it.
The new Defender arrived in USA approx mid 2020. Due to Covid and worldwide parts shortages etc, supply has been very much held back. Huge number of Defender on back order 130 model just got released
Those blank buttons Joe highlighted, is where USB etc for Row 2 should be. Either this vehicle was ( stupidly ) not ordered with these items, or, they were not fitted due to parts shortages ? 🤷🏻♂️
Tire attached on back of trunk is impractical - same with side opening trunk instead of a 50/50 split where the back window opens separately and the bottom panel opens separately. Glad they didn't use the knob gear selector on this one, and reverted back to using a form of the hand-lever.
It’s not perfect, but by having the spare Tyre in this location, it is easily accessible. And it’s a full size Tyre. If it’s under the rear of vehicle, access is much harder etc, and then it interferes with various components and affects rear cargo room. With clear sight rear view mirror, rear vision is not affected.
It is a pity that Land Rover does not offer the option of mounting two comfortable and spacious "Captain" type central seats. With 7 seats, and 8 as an option, I think it would be more successful. We will keep the hope that Land Rover will soon offer this possibility. Meanwhile, a Cadillac Escalade ESV is more interesting, it offers more space, and you know, the real luxury is space.
@@Norentis Indeed, but I think they are products that are aimed at a very similar audience. Clients with great economic capacity and who are looking for quality products with great space and excellent comfort.
@@alf637 The Defender was more developed as an off-roader with Great Britain, Australia and Afrika in mind. The Escalade is more geared towards space and comfort for America. But either way, I love the Defender but when I was in the USA the Escalade was an absolute joy to use.

I just got mine in almost the same exact trim, except different style black wheels and no cooler. My favorite car ive ever driven. Mine cost $77,800 though and its the 130 p400. I just wish i could adjust the volume on the steering wheel without reaching all the way to the rightside of the dash

Love this, definitely nabbing one up ASAP. Yes, the Wagoneer has a beautiful interior, but I’m not digging the exterior at all. The Defender has the aggressive look I love, I don’t care if my kids get into it too, waterproof flooring is an A+ for a parent of 4.
Compare the new Range Rover Sport PHEV (38 kWh battery) with the Wagoneer 4xe, when it comes out! Wonder if the Wagoneer 4xe will do DC fast charging like the new Range Rover Sport PHEV.
I'm usually not a fan of modern Land Rovers, but I'd much rather get this than the overrated and overpriced Range Rover any day. This 130 Defender's somewhat appealing.
I can't wait for cars to get as expensive as owning a house...they're getting closer with some. The thought of having these kinds of car payment sickens me. Hope they offer a 30 year fixed rate
The Grand Wagoneer is definitely worth the buy over this. Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful car but with that price range you get more bang for your buck with the GW imo. The interior of the GW is just marvelous and nothing compares to it. I'm loving every aspect of it just wished the L model came out when I bought (I couldn't wait unfortunately)

Being able to see one and how it looks before there was one to see in person played a big part. With 3 babies, we are very pleased with how spacious and comfortable it is. Wife loves the Fam Cam and easy one touch button w/ car seat installed to get into the 3rd row and driving it and going Full Throttle and smoking other cars is priceless lol. Thanks again for all you and your team does and keep it up.
@@balthezor Top each their own. People will find you ugly or your wife, etc. It's really not ugly imo, but it's sad people base a car on the exterior. The GW has top of the performance with that V8 and best in class towing. Car seat friendly seats to enable easy access to get into 3rd row without taking the car seat out (can't express how valuable that is). Interior wise, no one comes close (which is were you'll spend 100% of the time in). Best in class trunk space, with low loading area and best 3rd row period. If you want to base your purchase on how "PRETTY" the outside looks and not what the vehicle can do, do you then brother. But I'm not dropping over 100k on a car if it doesn't do what I need it to do.
The Land Rover brand has been great for tow truck drivers and dealership mechanics over the decades keeping them in business. Awesome lawn ornament especially if you live in a H.O.A community to be used as a landmark because everyone in town knows where they’re going is near the beautiful looking always parked Defender. 😂

I like the look of the defender in general. However I feel like this wasn’t necessary. I mean cuz we already have the Land Rover Range Rover L. And u said that the 3rd row is a little tight. The GW already competes with that Range Rover. I feel like we really don’t need the 3rd row in the defender. It looks like a boat which is a compliment but no. I would rather the regular 110.
Defender is different, and much less expensive then the new RR. The 130 model will be hugely popular. It has more Row 3 room v the 110 model. More cargo room v the 110 model. Many will be ordered as a 5 seater only. Many owners will just want the extra cargo room.
Just to think that the new 2023-24 Hyundai Santa Fe will look like a short wheel based Defender! I'm loving the boxy urban/off-road look with a touch of luxury. I also, like how they implemented a sunroof for the 3rd row passengers. Very innovative. I definitely will lease it, instead of buying it. Just worried about the long-term reliability.

What's the MSRP of the 2023 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 130 and does it come with AWD when you get a LAND ROVER DEFENDER 130? What's the MPG?

No, no it’s not. The Jeep is far more luxurious. The Range looks awesome, but it’s all looks, no substance. I drove both last month, ordered a Jeep.

The exposed Torx screws on the door cards makes it look really cheaply built. And the cargo nets, again with the cargo nets; cheap again.

Hyundai at least has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty and they stand behind it.
