Great video with great energy. I have been in my 110 for four months now it took me some time to get used to it but now I love it. It wasn’t easy to get used to as I came out of Audi rsQ8 which was an amazing car but totally different. Hi Lucy. I run a 09 plate Disco 3 as my 'farm car' and it is great, 156k miles and towed a tractor on a trailer 5 hours last weekend. My 'other car' is a Defender 110, in fact I am on my second one. Both have been without issues and drive great, I had a new shape Range Rover on test for a few days and it was nice but not as good as the 110, it also blended in more where as the 110 stands out, especially as I have removed the rear spare ( so I can use car parks soooo much better ) and also had the calipers and roof painted bronze which contracts nice with the blue body - or so i think!
I have a 2021 Defender 90 D200 Commercial - Great truck - never had any issues. If you go over the 3 years ownership you can extend the warranty with LR.
I’ve had two. An early 4cyl diesel d240. Bought a new 3litre D250 HSE in February and it’s wonderful. Only issue was an airlock in the cooling system that cured itself. Lucky as my local dealer let me down badly when asked to look at this. Supplying dealer (30 miles away) so much better! Some will say the Discovery is better but who wants a wonky number plate?

Had a Defender 110 D250 HSE Dynamic. Was a really nice car but chopped it in for a Range Rover Sport D300 Autobiography. Whilst I did like the Defender, the front seat bases are very flat so you roll off them and RRS seats are so comfortable, D250 felt underpowered but very smooth, boot is too small for a car of that size and side opening tailgate with wheel on the back can be very inconvenient compared to power comfort access tailgate. RRS is also more economical. Get an RRS and get the plastic over mats. Not had any major issues with any of the 3 LR vehicles I’ve owned. Great vehicles but way too expensive now; so says JLR evangelist owner since 2006. Pay up for a Range Rover then try and tow a one ton Boat with that but no, that's not a Land Rover Defender still i agree definitely better than Range Rover...like saying "better than a #dodge_hornet " of course
It is how this video was possible and it was a way for me to review this car on my channel thanks to that brand. I am still really pleased I was able to experience the Defender and create a video on my channel :)
I test drove a Defender a few months ago, and a few things put me off. The lack of under-thigh support (no seat extender) was uncomfortable, the infotainment screen felt a bit small, and it was disappointing that the reverse cameras didn’t make full use of the screen. Definitely room for improvement!
Land Rover has lost the plot IMHO. The very reason they endeavour to make it look more utilitarian with the features you point out, is that they far from utilitarian these days. The are a very nice vehicle as a SUV but far from an off-roading 4X4 which the Defender has alway been. In your thumbnail you reference the Range Rover which also has morphed into a soccer mums trophy piece disappointingly . If I was to own any JLR vehicle it would only be whilst new car warranty was still valid or as you suggest on a lease.
@@carlhoward9527 I don't disagree with that statement at all but try fitting some brush bars, a winch and some decent sized tyres on it. All of which could be done easily on a classic RR that could then be hosed out.
@@carlhoward9527 Also note I'm a bit bias as I come from the land down under and there aren't any JLR Mechanics amongst the Termite Mounds down here, I have looked.
Land Rover hasn’t lost the plot at all!! They know exactly how to maximise profits from their target audience. Build very desirable looking cars with huge price tags knowing they’re not required to be serious off road vehicles which can be used in the bush for 20 years. Put in just enough computer tech to create the illusion. Reliability can be sacrificed as most buyers will feel their warranty will take care of it. In reality this has lead to their dealer network being overwhelmed with warranty repairs and utterly ridiculous wait times. But they’re still shifting new cars thanks to PCP/lease etc and the profits are still being made.
It is how this video was possible and it was a way for me to review this car on my channel thanks to that brand. I am still really pleased I was able to experience the Defender and create a video on my channel :)

It stopped stone dead on M5. Had to be towed. Opening and closing the doors can drain the battery. They have just got rid of it coz it spent 2 weeks with a mystery fault at JLR garage. They are a very common site on the road. Go for a landcruiser?
Pay up for a Range Rover then try and tow a one ton Boat with that but no, that's not a Land Rover Defender still i agree definitely better than Range Rover...like saying "better than a #dodge_hornet " of course
The only thing i disliked about this video was "super easy" rather than "easy". Keep super in L.A. where it belongs.

who am I kidding
Had to tune out when you started wasting my time on floor mats.
It is how this video was possible and it was a way for me to review this car on my channel thanks to that brand. I am still really pleased I was able to experience the Defender and create a video on my channel :)
Great vid.... £350 for rubber mats? !!!
£270 I heard
£160 for the pfe liners and carpet mats if you order just the cabin mats and use Lucy’s discount code. Seems reasonable to me.
Crazy price for car mats
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️❤❤❤
Yea
Not a bad review, but enough on the mats....😮💨
They look like nice mats but the only offer a boot liner for an XC60 and they are sold out. No other Volvo products. Oh dear.
You are going to buy one. You must be nuts, you mean hsbc are going to finance it for you.
My L322 is very capable offroad
Hope the sponsor is worth it, 7 mins in before you actually get on with the review 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Ingenium ................................ dont need to say any more than that.
Never drive a new Defender without a warranty
What if it's not yours? Like this one isn't hers
Not made in Britain anymore so probably a little more reliable😂. All these cars with computers suffer glitches so not really worse than others and now4 years in they have ironed quite a few out.
buy it buy it today i watched the 5th gear tv programme and i would by one
Yes you can go anywhere, but mainly back to the dealership and on a recovery truck. Seriously it does look the dogs dangleys.
Sour because you can't afford it?
Haha!
Put the money into a Porsche, hint hint 👀
Watch this space...
Land rovers should not be comfortable and all gadgets , that’s why I like old defenders Lucy .
Love those mats
Is this a car mat review or a defender ! filling in content with adverts , not for me , unsubscribed
Imagine paying this much for an indian car
why do you not talk about something you know about !
