I grew up catholic going to a private school. Going to church two times a week and helped out in the church a lot growing up until I got into my mid teens. I fell away from the church, rejected the idea of any God, got into drugs, hanging out with the wrong people all of this for nearly 16 years. Yesterday I went back to church and im going to go through the process again to become a dedicated catholic and try my best to bring everyone I can over to hopefully join the church with me. Jesus saved me from my self when no one else was able to all glory to Jesus Christ the savior of the world!!!

As a formerly incarcerated Catholic, it was the Catechism that aided myself and our Catholic inmate brothers providing us tools, spiritual weapons, and guidance to embrace, defend, and live our gorgeous faith. Especially reentering society, our Church is in a continuous momentum on keeping my heart fulfilled in God.

It's God's way of purifying and sanctifying your soul. Submit always to the will of God. I can tell you that a great blessing awaits you for taking care of your sickly mother. If you are suffering now or if you bear your suffering now patiently and resignedly to the will of God, happiness and blessing will be your next lot. If a person is presently experiencing happiness and has no great problem or cross to bear, after that, he will experience sorrow and great problems. So it's better to suffer first now because after that follows joy and blessing. But those who have only a little suffering and have great joy at present will experience suffering next.
An intensified campaign of resistance has been unleashed against a group that has compassion for what is happening with so much loss of life! It is not fitting that this group would like to show the world, to look Up, from where Deliverance from the troubles of this world will soon come. They don't want to admit that the planet is altered by sin, it is no longer our house!

Hello, thank you so much for your reply! Agreed, both are great resources for the Catholic faith. I would also add in that reading Sacred Scripture really helps to bring it all together, most especially because scripture is referenced frequently in both the Catechism and the Council. Additionally, a really good read would be Frank Sheed's "Theology for Beginners", it is a very accessible introduction to Catholic theology I cannot recommend enough.
