I try to smile and say hello and treat everyone like family when I attend Mass. At first I got some cold shoulders, but now everyone is friendly back. If you're not doing your part to lead a sanctified life and represent the Church proudly then you've no right to complain. Just my $.02. 😆

That's awesome! A rosary or a divine mercy chaplet with a little litany of saints is a great way to start a mass! At one of my local parishes I attend they also begin with an Angelus, and end with the Saint Michael's prayer. It's helpful to keep our minds on prayer, to "pray without ceasing" as scripture says. Thanks for tuning in, God bless you!

I still remember till When I was small kid we had a very loving, dedicated, caring western priest who love the people very much, after every mass he always stand outside the church , give his times to talk, jokes with the people, listen to them , especially the children and youth, people love him very much and love to go to church and many non catholic become catholics because of him, even now when he is not with us anyone the people still remember and miss him and always look for a Godly priest like him., So good Priest is very important for growth and rebuilding the Church.

God lived in the soul of that priest thats why people were drawn and attracted to him and were inspired by his holy words and actions .... unlike anti catholics who keep quoting scriptures but been unable to inspire people. Why? Because God does not live in their souls but nataS (reverse). Why? Because they do not obey the Word of God or they do not obey the commandments of God. The Word of God says only the Church through its leaders can interpret the scriptures correctly but they don't obey 1 Tim 3:15, Matthew 16:19, Eph 3:10, Luke 10:16 etc. They still keep interpreting by their own and twisting the Word of God, so what happened to them is nataS dwells in their soul. People with good will don't see and feel God in them but nataS.

Have you felt God in the souls of these rad trads and sedes? No. Have you been inspired by their words and actions? No. Their bad fruits reveal the state of their soul or who dwells in their souls. On Epiphany Sunday this year, a beautiful church in the Parish I attend was decommissioned because of a lack of funds.
Parishioners were, and are, upset at the priest. Though most of them are CEOs (Christmas and Easter Only) because on that Sunday, it was packed. People who haven't gone in years, some decades, were there and upset at the decommissioning. A simple question ran through my mind, and has since then, what drew your attention away from The Lord and what has divided us?
1 Corinthians comes to mind when I think of these questions.
I have no ill will towards those that have fallen away for they need the Love of Christ. I pray they will come back and their heart be ever open to The Lord.

Anti catholics often say this, "Don't follow any organization or any church, Pope, priests, Mary, the saints but only Jesus or the Word of God. LOL. They contradict the Word of God. You cannot separate these 2. If we don't follow the Church and the Pope and the example of the saints esp Mary, we don't follow Jesus and His Word because Jesus told us to follow Him through the Church He founded through church leaders NOT directly. (Luke 10:16). Following Jesus directly by disregarding the Church or its leaders is not following Jesus or the Word of God. In truth, following Jesus directly gravely offends The Father, the Son.and the Holy Spirit.

But these anti catholics who say that they don't interpret the Bible because the Bible interprets itself don't have the same exact understanding or interpretation of scriptures. They themselves disagree with one another on how to interpret this or that bible verse. If anyone opposes their personal understanding of this or that bible passage, his opponent is wrong for them and they are the only ones right. LOL. So even if they deny that they interpret the Bible, they still interpret the Bible whether they admit it or not. They are just lying. They are liars.

I agree that a lot of protestant churches (especially ‘low’ church, like evangelicals and non-denominational, as opposed to the mainline ones) do a great job developing the social life of their congregations. I’ve given some thought as to why that might be, and what we Catholics can learn from them. I think serious Catholics for the past some time have shied away from trying to make the parishes look too
much like a social hub, both because the church in the second half of the 20th century was heavily and negatively impacted by the cultural Revolution, and also because we don’t really know the boundaries surrounding the function of the church building. Is it a space primarily for worship? Is it a space exclusively for worship? Is community building something that diminishes the primary function, or builds it up? Do we run the risk of trying to look “protestant”, if we take social and cultural cues from well functioning Protestant communities?
I personally think we live in an era where it is becoming more acceptable to start taking social cues from the functionality and vibrancy of many of these Protestant communities, without dimishing the sacredness of what our worship is.
      Kinda rambly. Sorry.
