I watch you as much as I can. I am going to watch this because my son-in-law is coming back from Saudi Arabia tonight. I'm proud of what he does, but it is difficult in travel - and you do that all the time. He manages sound systems, and does the mixing at performances. It was his first time there as well. This was truly unique, even for your channel, which is always full of surprises, when you said you would surprise us with what you were going to Arabian desert for, my guess was an auto race. I would never have guessed a falcon race viewed from an indoor facility. those rock formations were reallly stunning as well.

I've been following you for years and coincidentally have been looking at Alula as a travel destination for a small group trip I'm planning. You're the first vlogger I've seen actually go there, so thank you! I heard they have just started to develop this area for tourism, and I guess your promo trip means they are officially ready to welcome visitors. Would you say so?
It sure seems like they're ready for tourism. We were welcomed everywhere and it seems like tourism based development is well under way.
@@DownieLive Thanks for the response! The places you went in this video looked a bit like tourist traps, and not even ones designed for English speakers. Did you happen to notice if there are opportunities for an English guide to take you out into the dessert for more of a real exploration of ruins, without actors and candles everywhere?

I heard of Emirates but first time seeing someone on it. Very nice. Lot of attention to detail with stars on ceiling and the Polaroid idea. Too bad about the rush and not seeing their lounge. But the airports seem like size of West Edmonton mall so you had to rush :)

This is so neat because I have been so enamored with watching videos and learning about Jordan. If I was younger I would have loved to have gone there for a trip. But now we are armchair travelers . That experience in the ancient city is cool. What a great idea to get people involved in the history rather than just walk thru a museum. Museums are great, but experiences make better memories 😊

I lived and worked in Kuwait a few years back and when I had to make a business trip back to the United States I intentionally booked my route on emirates on the A380 - I spent most of the flight in the back lounge with a few other passengers. It was amazing! Of course...sans polaroid back then, what the heck!
