    I love how humble Ryron is, you can see how he give yo his sleeve and mound time nd time again so that this dude gets the best learning experience he can.

    Did you all see that? How Rener and Ryron were able to make space on the mat as so not to collide; while rolling... Amazing!

    0:57 Ryron not even at 10% here, thinking about dinner later or something else entirely

    Love it, the Gracie boys worked these blue belts without completely subduing them.
    Im sure they took alot of lessons away with them after this

    I love all the world champion class white/blue belts commenting on how they would accomplish anything against any member of the Gracie family lol. we are all clowns.

    I would love to have an opportunity to roll with any of these guys. It's so natural for them. What an amazing opportunity it would be to learn from them. You can feel their energy just from watching them roll.

    Gotta love the comments section. Everyone talking about how bad these blue belts suck. Meanwhile the Gracie brothers could kick everyone in here and their instructors asses easily. Probably at the same time. These are guys that toy with high level black belts. There are only a handful of guys on the planet that could even give them a decent challenge. Anyone making those comments actually ever rolled with a 3rd degree and above as a white belt? Remember how it felt? These brothers can do that to about 90% of the 3rd degree black belts out there.

    • @LocalChoker
      @LocalChoker 7 років тому +14

      COFishfinder that doesn’t mean shit. I know blue belts that are really good and far better than your average purple. I also know whites who run through blues. The Gracie ranking system can be a problem when you live in a small town. I’ve been waiting 4 months for my blue belt test after tapping every blue I roll with and most purples. It gets aggravating but in the end, belts don’t mean jack shit.

    • @LocalChoker
      @LocalChoker 7 років тому +9

      jared moglia not necessarily. It all depends on the individual and how long he has trained. An all state high school wrestler will come in as a white and roll over your average blue after learning only a handful of moves. It’s all about an individuals life experiences

      When I think of belt levels I think about time spent on the mats.. Not necessarily how skilled they are or how tough they are.

    lol to the bluebelt who gave up side control in the beginning....why?

    • @TiltChamberlain513
      @TiltChamberlain513 7 років тому +20

      because it doesn't matter anyway. whether he tries or not it isn't going to be competitive. and maybe Ryron corrects a mistake you make from side and you walk away with something.

    • @FallaGallera
      @FallaGallera 7 років тому +8

      im sure the bluebelt did not have intentions of being competitive. maybe he should've completely turned around and give Ryron back control as well? i understand your point but at the same point i do not.

    • @TiltChamberlain513
      @TiltChamberlain513 7 років тому +8

      i agree he should of put himself in the worst positions possible and see if he can survive. I would rather become a black belt at defense tha, offense. Personal choice. And his version of a win in this roll is to survive as long as he can or explore horrible positions. Not to get on top and crush Ryron.

    • @sylver76

    Why is it that every blue belt i've seen under Gracie Academy (or its affiliates) is bad? I've noticed this for a while now but i've never said anything until now. I understand that it isn't a competitive roll the professor, but a 4-stripe blue belt should know how to pass open guard effectively, and at least try...

      Bruh... white belts only learn jiu jitsu for street fight scenarios . And if I remember double underhook is the only guard pass white belts learn..
      blue belts get to learn knee slide...
      but there’s no leg drag, long step, leg weave etc...
      Atleast from what I seen at GRACIE Academy

    • @MrTjmanijo
      @MrTjmanijo 7 років тому +10

      Bussaniga Ovadahed Youre looking at the wrong blue belts bro😁 not only that but gracie jiu jistu focuses on selfdefense for on the streets so those blue belts you have seen may not do well in a jiu jitsu grappling match but they are fully capable and aware on how to use street applicable grappling technique rather than trying to worm guard or go deep halfguard or berimbolo or all the rest of those fancy bjj moves that work but leaves you vulnerable in a fight that involves striking. Just saying because thats what it takes to aquire a gracie blue belt and i know a lot of people that do gracie jiujitsu just for the selfdefense part and have no interest progressing to the sports side of bjj. 🤙hope that helped sir.

    Every time I watch the gracies, they play lower side and upper control and butterfly guard, they will let there opponents pull full guard but they tend to avoid it like the plague, wondering what if anything prevents them from using this position. They always seem to have a more advanced game then the people they are working with because of this avoidance of full guard, wondering if full guard is just reverse mount and should be avoided because it is the negative of mount and therefore a bad spot to be in or if there is just a lot of room for passes and loss of control from guard, or if it is just they figured out to cut it for some reason from there personal development.

      I guess there's not as much you can do from closed guard and everyone knows what's coming because it's the first thing they teach you

    • @graciescottsdale
      @graciescottsdale 3 роки тому +1

      Watch them against other high level people, they use lots of closed guard.

    • @eliaspenilla2108
      @eliaspenilla2108 3 роки тому +1

      Rener and Ryron have a killer closed guard. The reason you don’t see it much in videos is that they are always playing with the idea of dynamic flow. Their styles, especially Reners, rely on seamless and efficient changes in position, which tires out and confuses opponents. Reners jiu jitsu is very much like he speaks. While Ryron is a bit more, although not by much, less expressive of blitkrieg changes, but is a bit more sinister. He loves doing very simple movements that force you to give him openings, and whatever you give him he takes with a smile.Before you know it, you are lost and tired and tapping.

    Why did the first blue belt just give side mount to a higher belt? What the heck did he think would happen!!!! I'm not saying anyone of them stood a chance just like I'm sure to lose against these black belts... I just would at least want to show some skill and try to implement what they just taught me at the seminar.... even if I didn't get a sub out of it... at least try the technique I just learned and not just play my same old game.
