I certainly, to me the 60’s 70’s and 80’s where the best music. Watched the film War of the Worlds as well as remembering reading the book at School. X Thank you Justin for this beautiful rendition of this song, best wishes from Spain.
This was on of my husbands favorite songs. And yes, he absolutely loved fall. He passed away two years ago. Last November I arranged a memorial mass for him. At at the end of the mass the brilliant cantor and pianist sang/played this song. Everyone cried, especially me. Now, this song holds a blessed place in my heart. Thank you for lending your voice to this beautiful, blessed song. I cannot thank you enough. It means the world to me.
"It is good to cry in ceremony, it reminds the gods that we are still their children." When I tried to get an attribution for this (I think it was Black Elk), all the returns were helpful articles on how NOT to cry. But we know better.
This is actually my favorite rendition of this song yet. So beautifully done. How is it possible that Justin still sounds the same, if not better, all these years later?
I still love his voice but it's definitely not what it was in the 1970s or 80s......and understandably so. The songs are just as reasonant and incredible though!
My wife of 41 years passed on 10/12. As she was in hospice this song came on while I was listening to Justin Songs. I’ve heard it thousands of times. Took on a whole new meaning.
I can relate. This was my late husbands favorite song. He passed away two years ago. I had this song sung at a memorial mass for him. I hold this song in my heart as a blessing. I am so grateful to have shared this song with him. God Bless You!
This song, so masterfully performed by Justin, always evokes such a melancholy feeling. Appropriate for this first day of autumn, especially this year.
This was my mother's favorite song. That single was played so often in my childhood. After my mom passed away in 2013, it was a while before I could even listen to it. But I LOVE this song!! Brings back some precious memories.
I lost my daughter in 2o 13 aged 42 and my son aged 32 Yr half after I've layed them together with the words on their headstone my life will be forever autumn cause your not here cruel world how are you my friend xx
My aweome and much-loved sister has just passed away at 71. She once told me the Moody Blues were her favourite group. She looked after me all her life.
The song always reminds me of dogs who have crossed the rainbow bridge - running in the autumn leaves with such joy - only with us for a short season - but so full of love.

I have been lucky to see Justin's solo show at least 5 or 6 times. It is an unbelievable experience to hear the voice, the music, & the magic of a live truly amazing performance. 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
Wow, he still belts this out with all the mystery and melancholy as when I first heard it as a 15-year-old in 1978. I remember being captivated by the magical sadness of this piece. I would run it through my head as I ran cross country races through the golden gown of autumn.
Thank you Mr Hayward, please come back to Australia. Sydney State Theatre, then I will fly to Melbourne for another beautiful Justin Hayward Concert. A privilege. Thank you. You got me through covid. I was set for the Blue cruise. Life kicks us side ways. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Your voice is haunting. cheers from Australia
What a Beautiful song. From a beautiful voice of Justin Hayward. I hope he keeps doing Tuesdays afternoons songs something to look forward to.Thank you.💕
This was released the year my daughter was born, first saw the Moody Blues at Leeds unit in 1970. There again in 1973. Saw Justin perform Forever Autumn during the War of the Worlds at Leeds Arena last night, (3rd April) as part of my daughters 44th birthday celebrations. We had a fabulous evening. Thank you - we loved it!
Had just started a trip back to college. As I poked around on the car radio, an all album station had this playing. What?! A Moody Blues song I didn’t know about!!?? Found out it was one of Justin’s contributions to Jeff’s War of the Worlds album. Took a while to find a shop that carried it. Most had never heard of it. ????? Pre internet. 🤷♂️ Incredible song. Brings a seasonal feeling, along with the haunting story behind the song as part of WOTW.
I always remember kicking autumn leaves myself and this song would be in my head... This song could have been written by the man himself... So beautiful ❣️ 😊 😉
I recall hearing this incredibly beautiful song on the radio as a teenager when I was vacationing down in Puerto Rico back in the late ‘70s. I wasn’t exactly fluent in Spanish but knew a wonderful piece of music when I heard it. Since then I have found and listen to the “War Of The Worlds” soundtrack in SACD 5.1 Surround Sound format which makes this song even more amazing. Well done, Justin...truly one of the somewhat unknown classics that I still love 40+ years later, especially at this time of year.
Justin sings this differently now than in his youth. Now he seems to fully embody the sadness, lonliness and grief that this song conveys. Always sang it beautifully but age brings a certain understanding.
This song is especially precious to me because my cousin, who passed away in 2019 at the young age of 45, loved Autumn. We'd always do everything together in the Fall. Whenever Justin sings " my life will be forever Autumn, because you're not here ", makes me weep until I lose all strength. Justin and the Moody Blues, thank you for your wonderful music. My cousin's dream was to meet Justin Hayward in person.. I hope I can do that for him. My cousin Tony, introduced the Moody Blues to me when we were teens, in the 80's.

I remember one of my friends giving me a cassette copy of War of the Worlds... I said WTF is this? He said... just listen to it. And listen I did! What a fantastic recording with this song stand head and shoulders above the rest... I could not thank him enough then and thank him again now... Thanks Raul! Where ever you may be!
Justin’s voice ages like very fine wine. I’d waited half a century to be able to see him at concert in Capital Theater Clearwater FL Oct.15th 2021. I am 66 but my heart flutters for him like a teenager.
I'm a bit worried about the 3 viewers who gave it a thumbs down. Hard of hearing? That was so good, I'd say ethereal. Not one he wrote this time but it'll be forever his.
Dear Justin... You are a part of my youth... I grow up with this song.. A very poor guy with no money to buy vinyl.. But I got the WOTW Album. Listened 1000 times and also made my son in his early years to love this album. Bothe of us are now successful people. Still know where it comes from.
I have two kids first was a daughter and was hoping our second was a son and was and named him Justin and middle name Hayward after my favorite singer and performer. Thanks for all the great memories Justin and The Moody Blues.
This gent was seventy four a couple of days ago I lost my adult daughter and son a couple of yrs ago less than yr half apart I've laid them to rest together with the words on their grave my life will be forever autumn cause your not here x
I think of my cousin who had 4th stage lung cancer in the hospital. He turned 64 in the hospital October 18th. The day after, his youngest sister took him off of life support. My mom and I saw Justin in concert a few weeks after. All I could do was cry. 😢😇🥺
I first heard this on the radio in 1979 or 1980, while I was in college at NYU. I quickly ran over to one of the local record stores and bought the War of the Worlds vinyl, and have played it to death ever since. Thanks for a gorgeous performance of one of my all-time favorite songs!
Absolutely fantastic all these years after the album was released, and the Flauntiest has to have a mention as that sound is magical.................Great video loved it.
Wow - the man will be 80 in just six years - and STILL he has that magnificent voice! And this four-piece band perfectly captures the beauty of the original. The Moodies were a band that my appreciation for their stunning albums has grown ever greater over time!
What a voice! And still handsome as ever! Saw you at Sun City, South Africa in 1995, fourth row from the front. Unforgettable! Thank you for still singing!
Saw The Moody Blues live at Radio City Music Hall in 2005. What a concert. The Moody Blues are my favorite band next to The Beatles. Long Live The Moodies.
@gitarzan That's because with every passing year there are fewer and fewer of us, still alive who know and remember these songs. Sad to think, in a few years, we and this will all be gone.
Justin is now in his 70s his vocals are as crisp as ever. I watched and listened to a 1978 performance right before this and Justin's voice is just as beautiful as it was then! Pure beauty!! ✌🎤💙😍
Oh My! Justin Hayward and The Moody Blues will be forever and always one of my favorite bands! Their music is poetry to the ears, and peace to the soul. I have had the privilege of seeing them concert twice in my lifetime, and their music is TIMELESS! God Bless.
How is this guy's voice still so clear and accurate? Unbelievable.
Any other child of the 70's here remembering a simpler time listening to the record?
I certainly, to me the 60’s 70’s and 80’s where the best music. Watched the film War of the Worlds as well as remembering reading the book at School. X Thank you Justin for this beautiful rendition of this song, best wishes from Spain.
😊I certainly agree with you, they where amazing days and brilliant music.
Absolutely! Music was so good then!
I was born in '62. I grew up with the Moody Blues!
Was born in 1960. Absolutely loved this and all 70n 80s music. Great memories
It doesn't get any better than this!
This was on of my husbands favorite songs. And yes, he absolutely loved fall. He passed away two years ago. Last November I arranged a memorial mass for him. I hope you find comfort.
😢😭😢
Your husband is surely in a better place looking down at you from heaven and waiting for you to rejoin him up there
A beautiful song for you to remember your husband .❤
"It is good to cry in ceremony, it reminds the gods that we are still their children." When I tried to get an attribution for this (I think it was Black Elk), all the returns were helpful articles on how NOT to cry. But we know better.
Thats all you need: Four amazingly talented musicians and one of the best songs that ever has been written.
Absolute perfection. All the musicians deserve a standing ovation 👏
They got one! And a few wolf whistles 😂
So true. Not a mistake in sight.
This is actually my favorite rendition of this song yet. So beautifully done. How is it possible that Justin still sounds the same, if not better, all these years later?
Its amazing how strong and clear his voice is in his early 70s!
He is ageless❣
I still love his voice but it's definitely not what it was in the 1970s or 80s......and understandably so. The songs are just as reasonant and incredible though!
Professionalism. 🙂
Totally agree with you, just listening to Forever Autumn now, brings to my eyes. Still amazing Justin even after all these years. My funeral song.
My wife of 41 years passed on 10/12. As she was in hospice this song came on while I was listening to Justin Songs. I’ve heard it thousands of times. Took on a whole new meaning.
May you be well through this time I am sorry for your loss I hope that you will carry on as best as you can
I can relate. This was my late husbands favorite song. He passed away two years ago. I had this song sung at a memorial mass for him. I hold this song in my heart as a blessing. I am so grateful to have shared this song with him. God Bless You!
I am touched by your tender words my friend. I hope you find solice in this amazing song. I know I do
Your few words made my eyes moist. Thank you.
First time I'm hearing this. His voice is still wonderful.
This song, so masterfully performed by Justin, always evokes such a melancholy feeling. Appropriate for this first day of autumn, especially this year.
Well said. His voice is still in fine fettle and it does give you that melancholy feel. 👍🏻
Just amazing how well his voice has held up over the years. "...Now you're not here." Those aren't easy notes to hit so clearly.
Well said 🙂
That lady on the flute is amazing absolutely nailed it...
Absolutely
Forever Justin. 🥰
Miss my dad, I have fond memories of us listening to war of the worlds. And seeing the musical.
This was my mother's favorite song. That single was played so often in my childhood. After my mom passed away in 2013, it was a while before I could even listen to it. But I LOVE this song!! Brings back some precious memories.
your mother obviously had great taste in music....hugs
I lost my daughter in 2o 13 aged 42 and my son aged 32 Yr half after I've layed them together with the words on their headstone my life will be forever autumn cause your not here cruel world how are you my friend xx
The same happened to me, can't listen to the songs my father used to like. So painful and bitter😢
@@mayadaha6166I'm sorry ❤😢
My son is named Justin. This man is why.
How can you not like Justin Hayward and his 🎶 music! It is music from the heart indeed! Thank you, Justin...
My aweome and much-loved sister has just passed away at 71. She once told me the Moody Blues were her favourite group.
She looked after me all her life.
Perfection.
Choosing Justin Hayward to sing this song was pure genius.
Forever Autumn conveys the seasonal feelings of change, reflection, and melancholy. It was a lucky day for him, for you, and for us. 🍂
...and he used his powers of wizardry for good; very good. Thank you for the pleasure, Justin. ❤️
So glad Justin was chosen to sing it!!
❤️ 🎶
The song always reminds me of dogs who have crossed the rainbow bridge - running in the autumn leaves with such joy - only with us for a short season - but so full of love.
I adore Justin Hayward's singing. Absolutely perfect.
Mr. Hayward,
I am indebted to you and the Moody Blues. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing. Rest in peace my beautiful Angelique. This song reminds me so much of my young daughter with her autumn hair

Has NEVER lost his beautiful voice!!!
Having just lost my long time friend since the days we listened to the early Moody Blues when we were teenagers this song is perfect to remember him.
The perfect song for the first day of Fall. Thanks Justin- stay safe and we'll see you on the road soon.
I love autumn xx

I had a feeling you were going to post this in time for the Autumnal Equinox. Another beautiful performance of one of my favorite songs.
Too bad their hairstylists are confused about the need for color & hair.
Mr Hayward, sir! I thank you for your excellent music over the years!

Never heard, or saw this performance before… So beautiful…
Miss Karmen, the flutist, plays an important role in the whole song. The sound from the flute is the soul of Forever Autumn.
This was a collab that stands the test of time! Autumn time is here...
Brilliant personal orchestration, collectors piece. Bought the very first W of the W release, still got it in perfect condition.
A true gift. Karmen's flute playing is perfection. Thank you Justin and I hope next year's tour happens.
This was always my favourite track from the war of the worlds. Sitting in my family's front room playing the record over and over!
What a gem to discover this on a mid-winter day with light snowflakes floating on the breeze.
This is one of the most beautiful songs. ❤
Heard Justin sing this last year as part of Jeff Wayne's war of the world
Amazing

How can only 4 people sound like an entire orchestra? I'll tell you how, PURE, RAW TALENT, that's how!
I'm a bit worried about the 3 viewers who gave it a thumbs down. Hard of hearing? That was so good, I'd say ethereal. Not one he wrote this time but it'll be forever his.

The flute is mesmerising as is the flautist - absolutely makes it - beautiful - Justin never a foot wrong. Love it.
I have heard this song hundreds of times. Watching this moved me to tears. When I saw the title I knew it would be good, but was not expecting this.
