Good question! I think I already made a video about that - at least I think I did. It's a bit hard to describe. But the surface of the coin was treated differently. Well, technically the die was treated, but you can see it on the fields of the coin. The strike quality is flawless, better than business strike. The best way I can think to describe it right now is a "satin" finish. Better than business strike but not quite proof. Under a scope you can see the swirling die polish lines that are missing from business strikes and it has none of the reflective mirror look of a proof. I hope that helps some.

Ive seen a few of these including a penny/nickel. It was really wierd. Theres a bunch of mules as far back as the mid 1800s.
