- Whether it's a No S coin, an interesting style of mint mark, a rare special set, or a strange digit in the date of a penny, there are a lot of proof sets that have unique characteristics that make them worth a lot more money than their counterparts without the error (or, in the case of a few, their year is simply a standout one in terms of value). Hello, On the Premier Silver proof sets. I have a 1994 set coins look a little foggy. But I have a the same proof set that not Premier but the set ( Black box Proof set.)
Question is opening the chrome metal frame to switch out the proof set. Help !

The funny thing is there's not really anything special with the 2012 proof set (both the clad and the silver ones); it just had a huge demand spike when the US Mint stopped selling it earlier than they usually do (typically the Mint sells a proof set for 2 years, or until as many as they minted sells out, whichever happens first. But the 2012 proof sets they stopped selling 9 months earlier than they usually do). It's still pretty valuable today, despite having a higher mintage than the 2013 and 2014 proof sets.
I bought this set for kids from 2019 w the penny planchet and seem to have an error proof Kennedy half. Or an oil drop?
Weird. Also.see something in the quarter on the obverse. Is that a mint error when sealed in the blisters? Both in one set.

I looked at my quarter i discovered these national states park quarter. I discovered that i got a state park quarter that not suppose to be out till 2010. Its got a 2009 date on it. The recommend design for the 2010 quarter dont even match the design on this quarter. Any idea what its worth.

Bought multi silver proof sets during the statehood quarter series bought from the u.s. government mint
My friend has a 1975 no mint marks (S)… it’s not in a box but all coins encased in plastic. Is this worth anything? I am having a hard time with this! Thank you 🙏

Generally are searched ahead of time.

I could try to do that in the future but have a lot of videos coming and don't have experience doing it myself. Obviously using care is important and not smashing the set near the actual coins is critical.

What if you have a 1980s decade proof set that has one coin that doesn't have the same mint mark as the rest of them? And no there's no difference aside from the mint mark as to the appearance and quality of the coins.. would this be considered an error set?

Good day i have a 1971 proof set is it valuable
I bought a proof set thats either a 1968 69 or a 1972 set. The dime in it has some sort of damage on the rim and on some of the obverse lettering. The copper is showing on the letters on only 1 side and on the spot on the rim the copper is showing. Kinda looks like the rim goes down into the coin there. Wish I could show it to you. I have no clue what happen but you can see it with the naked eye. The copper on one side of the lettering is best seen w a loupe. Anyone seen or heard of this before? Any help is appreciated thanks
Those are error coins. They are worth a lot . Hang on to it.

I was loiking through my quarter i notice these state park quarter. I discovered that i got a state park quarter that not even made yet its got a 2009 date on it.its the third park to come out in 2020. The recommend design for 2020. QUarter doesn't even match the design on this quarter.

I've been collecting Silver proof sets since 1999, so I have the 2012 Silver Proof set -- not that I'm going to sell it any time soon.

Has the case been tampered with? Depending where you got it sometimes people take a rare coin out put replacement coin in then re sell the set.....sometimes..

WHY is the 2012 PS 5x more than the 2011 & 2013's???
Funny story; short answer is because the Mint stopped selling it earlier than they usually do, causing a spike in demand, which meant dealers had to pay more for them in order to have them available. This despite the fact the mintage of these is actually higher than 2013 and 2014. And they still are quite valuable; both the standard clad ones and the silver ones.

Great video, an mint n proof sets are my thing, sadly the prices are for complete sets I believe, I'd say 80% of my collection is from cherrypicking, I have many errors an varieties from proof sets.....
