It’s like I don’t know where to start and I’m looking for any advice. I paid for the coin scan app. .. so I’m wondering if I just take each coin from my grandparents and scan them first ? Thank you for producing this. Knowing what to look (and look out) for is so important. I have seen what can only be described as overly inflated prices. I could not imagine anyone, even a sucker, paying the asking price for some coins that are not professionally graded...UNTIL...a friend suggested this might be done deliberately by a "seller" looking to launder money. Imagine two people working together. They have a LOT of cash that needs laundering. One person will "sell" an ordinary coin for an extraordinary price. Another person in the laundering operation will "buy" the coin at the inflated price - no questions asked. If someone from the gov't catches them, they can argue they sold a "valuable" coin and they have a receipt to prove it.

My father passed away and I have inherited his coin collection. He had a brown jar full of wheat pennies. And then there is a penny in there that is totally blank on one side, and you can barely make out the impression of Lincoln's head on the other side. And there lots of Indian head pennies and lots of other coins. So how can find someone to help me look at my father's coins without trying to take advantage of me. I could really use some knowledgeable help here. Thank you. Gloria Phelps from Kentucky
Hi there , I have a 1943 Steel D yes. Magnetic, however , it’s stamped upside down on the other side , the wheat side , or, I suppose it could be the way around , head side is reversed .. thoughts ? I tried to look it up, but I can’t find anything like it, and thank you so much for your videos!
Coins are normally struck so if heads is up, the tails is down. Hold a penny and if you flip like face is falling forward, the tail side will then be up. Most wheat pennies aren't worth much unless it's a high grade in reddish copper, a decent enough of rarer ones like 1909-S, V.D.B. , or it's an actual error coin. 40-45 years ago, every time I opened a roll of pennies at my grandparents business, there were about 1-3 wheat pennies per roll. War Nickels, silver Roosevelt dimes, silver Washington quarters were almost a daily find too, especially the 1942-1945 Nickels that contained some silver. Up until 10-15 years ago, I could buy a bag or rolls of half dollars and somewhere around 20% were 40% and 90% silver, sometimes older designs of half dollars could be found. The best bag was around 64-65% silver half dollars. Some must've turned grandpa's silver coins in and they received 50 cents for each half and I paid 50 cents for each one, but silver was still climbing and hadn't reached $50 an ounce yet. I don't remember the weight but a 1964 or older half dollar would take 2 to equal 90% of an ounce of silver. The secret was printed in a magazine and people cleared the banks out and I don't even buy them unless it is $500 worth off a coin counting machine, best case scenarios only find 5 to 10 , 40% silver in a bag of 1,000 halves. Often nothing of silver or rarity anymore. Doesn't hurt to keep looking because there are always people cashing in coins that are part of a collection or just a mixed, unorganized mess of collectibles...a little bit of difference but you want them anyhow.
Awesome thanks 👍😅 I have a few 1932, 33, 34, 39 wheats hope they are word something, new to the coin world but already have a little collection of really cool coins, getting info to start selling 😁

Hi, I’m one of your follower and just stumbled on 4 silver dollars ( 2 1804, 1 1862, 1 1888). This coin was picked by a native diver in the Ocean in the Philippines. They are not in pristine conditions due to being under salt water for a very long time. The coins front and back are very readable for its age. Need your suggestion on what I should do. Thanks.
You are correct, 1943 pennies were struck on steel so copper could be used for the war. But the 1943 penny obverse struck on the silver dime is a different story, if that's what you're referring to.
"Great collection of ultra-rare pennies! It's incredible to see coins like the 1909 VDB, 1913 and 1914 S mint marks, and even the 1993 Close AM, which are highly sought after by collectors. The 1909 penny, especially, holds a special place in numismatic history with its famous 'VDB' designer initials. I’ve been wondering, though, how often do rare pennies like these actually show up in circulation, and what are the chances of finding one in a typical roll hunt? Would love to hear your thoughts on how frequently these rarities are actually found or if they’re more likely to be part of a collection."

I have two pennies. One is a wheat penny that is struck on only one side. I also have a wheat penny that is dated 1992 even though they quit making them in 1958. Where can I sell them?
When my dad passed away he left envelopes and small containers and baggies and small boxes of coins. It’s overwhelming. I spent hours going through all of the foreign coins which I have absolutely no idea if there is any value except a few of them were old? Anyhow I have no idea where to begin. I’m needing guidance. Will I need to catalog each coin if it’s suggested I take them someplace and have someone else go through them? It’s not like I have a ton but is a little daunting. Thanks for any help anyone on here can suggest. ~ Christine

Hello, according to my words and according to the photo posted by the seller on a guarantee site, a 1 dollar bill with blue seal 1935E rare grade PMG 64 I have found it, it was inside the pack and how do I know if it is original? What is the original price?

I have some pennies that has some green on it and I can't read the year.
We do not recommend cleaning coins as it lowers the value. The green you see is more than likely environmental damage.

Hey man that 1930-D penny you showed PCGS MS67+RD IT had a double ear lobe.
~ Christine
