    Awesome tips. I add my room number, hotel name address, and the country’s emergency number in my notes app. It’s easier to locate than searching through my photos. I will definitely start using your tip for the shoes pointed to stairs. Love that one . Metal utensils is not advisable, as my on my last trip to London, my backpack was pulled out by TSA agent for extra screening because I had a camping folding metal fork. My family will not let me forget it.

      I’m so glad you found the video helpful! It’s always a good idea to keep emergency numbers handy. Wow, I go all the time through Heathrow and that has never happened, although they were very interested in my Miralax, LOL! Thanks for the heads up!

    I use detergent sheets for travel laundry. They’re “dry” and therefore don’t count as a liquid, but also pack away small. I cut one sheet into 4 little squares. One is enough to use for a pair of socks and undies or just a t-shirt or leggings. I use 2 for a pair of pjs, or a lightweight sweater or dress.

      Hi @tanyas6643 I’ve never thought of cutting the detergent sheets into smaller pieces! That's a great hack!

      @ the full sheets are really sized for a small load (maybe a few days worth) in a washer.

    Fantastic tips! I bring a Ziplock just for the remote and a little hand washing keeps my bag light!

    Omg, I live on Long Island and have been to Oheka Castle a few times. I got to see it before its extensive renovations. Got to see some of those rooms in its original state. Trivia: Parts of the movie Citizen Kane was filmed there. The great lawn off to the side and some interior spots. Did you get to visit any other Gold Coast homes? I also love the Vanderbilt home. Others. 🤗

    • @PerriesPassport
      @PerriesPassport  16 годин тому

      Hi @Beacon631 Oheka is just amazing! I've been to Sands Point Preserve which has both Hempstead House and Falaise. I've also been to the Vanderbilt Estate out in Huntington and I've stayed at The Mansion at Glen Cove, where "Sabrina" was filmed. There are so many mansions to see between Long Island, the Hudson River and Newport, RI that you could stay busy for such a long time. I didn't know that Citizen Kane was filmed at Oheka. All I can say is "Rosebud", LOL!

    Great tips. First thing I do when staying in a hotel is checking that there is no one hiding in the room. Check closets, under bed, behind shower curtain and balcony.

    I have yet to go to a European country that has ice readily available. Apparently they enjoy room temperature beverages. 😅

    • @PerriesPassport
      @PerriesPassport  15 годин тому

      Hi @michellestaneart6570 ! LOL true for most of Europe, but they are adapting as of late.You can even buy ice now! When my kids were younger, I used to carry these very thin ice packs, and most hotels were kind enough to put them in the freezer for me, but that is when we used to check luggage.
