This has been one of my most requested videos! How to fold bulky items so they don't take up a lot of room in your carry-on. If there are any other items you would like to see in the future, please drop them in the comments below!
I've found that the best way of saving space in luggage is carefully selecting each article of clothing. If I MUST bring denim, I'll wear it on travel days, so it never has to be packed
Hi @colleenmarin8907 ! I find that wearing denim also helpful for saving room in your bag! But I often take a night flight, and then comfort comes before space, LOL!
Thanks for giving multiple ways to fold those items!! I always found one I liked better than the others!! A quick tip for "finishing out" your cube. After zipping the compression zipper, "play the drums" on it for a few beats. It settles it all into place and gets rid of some of that middle bulge! 😉
I have a down puffer that I line one side of a clamshell carry one and then pack on top of it. It forces all the air out and so basically just a piece of nylon! Sleeves wrap on top to “hug” the packing cubes!
Hi @daveperry2994 ! You might want to see how I packed for mine this past June in just a carry on and a personal item. Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/D8seHYVXNyU/v-deo.html
What a great video! Saving this to my Travel playlist! I had thought it would be too much trouble to take my jeans off jacket and hooded rain coat with. Also with the handle at the top of the packing cubes it will be easy to way contents so you can pack to meet the weight restrictions.
Hi @lindapark8467 ! Wow! what a great idea! I never thought of weighing the cubes each. You're right that it is such a great way of staying within weight restrictions! I'll have to share that idea in some other video if you don't mind!
@@PerriesPassport I’d be honored if you include it as a hint. My other thought was your hint on folding a sports jacket, would also work for a ladies blazer. I have a velvet blazer I want to bring along on my cruise next year, but worried about how to pack. I’ll try your method.
@@PerriesPassport My jeans are extremely comfortable. Because they are the heaviest of the two (or maximum 3 bottoms I take) I never travel with anything uncomfortable. Only tried and true basics get into my bag. I also take only 8 tops ( 1 coat or jacket +1 down vest +1 t-shirt +1 camisole worn in flight make half the allotment on my body). Then, depending on the destination & season the remaining 4 include a turtle neck top, another shirt (t or other), a sweater or hoodie, and perhaps a blazer if I'm going for business. So easy. No need to compress and wrinkle my clothes. Ten shirts are absolutely unnecessary. An additional camisole and yoga pants I count as pajamas and don't include those or socks in the 3 bottoms, 8 tops formula. Was & wear & go lightly.

Hi @kathrinetownes1812 I think I get what you are saying. I wish you could send me a pic.
The bomber jacket roll technique is also great for putting a jacket into your day pack
Hi @bephoebe ! It sure is. Also a good way of taking along a hoodie
Not only is this good for travel but I think I'll use these methods to clean up my messy closet!
Hi @jc42598 ! It really is handy. I know find myself folding my pants instead of hanging them, and I see better what I have.
Perfect for my Alaska cruise

@@lindapark8467 I have used it on velvet blazers and it works great with them!
Hi perrie! Folding videos are my FAVORITE!!!
Hi @SimplyKatieWalks ! I totally get that! I'm always looking fo new techniques to up my game!
Saving this to my packing Playlist. Wow! And, yes, I got the packing cubes. Lol
@bephoebe ! It's a great reference video and believe it or not, I do that, too. Those cubes are "da bomb" LOL!
Great video today. I immediately ordered the compression cubes. Wish they came in red...lol! My ones from Tript needed replacing!
HI @cropperino ! I have to say that I was truly impressed by these cubes. They hold so much and were so easy to compress! Thanks for watching!
I don’t pack jeans. I wear them. Jackets get worn on flights as well as hoodies.
HI @nnajj01 ! That is an excellent alternative, but personally, I like to wear comfortable clothing on a flight, especially if it's a red eye.

@@lynda.grace.14 Sounds like you have a great plan!
@@PerriesPassport It has worked multiple times for me. But each to their own.
