Thanks for watching. I really enjoy making these speedrun breakdowns that showcase how discoveries are made and how routes progress. Let me know in the comments what other games I should cover.
Would love to see an updated video explaining the most recent speedrun of the game (under 18 mins). So much happens in it that I don’t understand and an explanation from an expert would be amazing
I like how Speedrunner Problem solving isn’t: "Mh the cutscene isn’t triggering, what could I do to make it work" but "Mh the cutscene doesn’t trigger, lets just skip that entirely too"
I found a glitch on my first playthrough that might help with stuff. I don't know exactly how it happened, but it was interesting. I was climbing up a ladder in that little shack that leads to a big underground cavern. Usually three enemies are standing outside it. Sorry I can't remember the name but it was where you first meet Skoova, the path that leads up the mountain. The little shack nearby that leads to the underground cavern, I was climbing back up and out of the hatch that leads in, but an enemy fell through the hole and on me as I was just about to climb out, Cal's hands were on the edge of the opening. We both fell back in and suddenly I had no control over certain gameplay features. I couldn't attack, and enemies wouldn't attack me. I also couldn't jump. But I could still go through gaps. I went back through the gap into the cavern to see if meditating in the nearby spot would fix it but that was also uninteractable after the glitch. So I decided to fling myself down the locked elevator shaft to die and respawn, but to my surprise, the glitch also effected void out. I fell all the way down the locked elevator shaft, the screen didn't even flicker black, landed on the elevator and activated it. Ultimately I used those exploding acid plants near the elevator to kill myself and the controls were fixed upon respawn, and I had access to the elevator still. If the glitch could be replicated, there might be use for its effect on Void outs being nullified
This game is like “”Walls ah yes I’ve heard of them but I don’t believe in them myself”” “”gravity? Nope never heard of it, now if you don’t mind my people need me”” shots right up into the air.
I glitched the final boss fight by doing the block plus blaster shot ability while Merrin did the flying segment when cal gets sent off a cliff and the ai for the boss stopped and the cutscene doesn’t play where I then pushed the boss off the cliff and he instantly died
i am no speed runner, but boy did i find myself a few glitches in this game. put a nekko next to a chest and tried to open the chest, ended up with cal not being able to open the chest but also not being able to cancel out of the animation. softlocking the game.
First off, awesome video. Love walkthroughs of speedruns like this. Hats off. Is it NG+ where Coruscant can be broken even more? I've seen runners break out of the forced walking section and utilise launches to get out of bounds and complete the level extremely fast
Breaking out of the walk is just a PBL you can do off the twins when they push you, or PBC through the guard rail to void out, and after voiding you can run. But no there is basically no difference between NG/NG+ anymore with PBLs.
If i programed the game I'd make a long sequence of moves feom the very start just teleport you to the end. Just to see how fast some one could find it.
I know what you meant by getting broken over time for fallen order, as in how the runs progressed, but the game literally bugs out the longer you play without closing the game
Open photomode during the game session, then press f11 while running at a wall. On console pause the game, go to the settings tab of the pause menu, and unpause
When you upload a wr of yourself please have a mic, it makes it so much better when you've put a bajillion hours into trying for wr when you can hear someones sigh of relief and happiness
Not really applicable to this situation since I never practiced or grinded, only ever finished four runs of this game, two of them were WR and I decided I didn't like it and uninstalled lol. Any of my runs that are streamed will have mic.
@@binksmagnus Understandable. Are there any other games you would speedrun and showcase? This account seems to be built around Star Wars but I wouldn't mind other content as well.
Maybe! I have to be pretty knowledgeable about a game to feel comfortable making a video like that, and while yeah this channel is built around Star Wars I wouldn’t necessarily refuse to speedrun and cover something else.
@@binksmagnus That would be awesome, The youtube algorithm might fuck up how many get to see your videos if you decide to cover something else, but have fun
Old question but the reason they don't void out is because the fall damage calculation is based on the location Cal started, so if he launches from a lower place and lands higher or at an equal level to where he started he won't void out There are also glitches to disable voidouts completely but those aren't used in the run anymore. It's very funny to see with how easily Cal breaks his legs in this game normally
No. Usually devs don’t patch speedrun tricks unless it’s something that 1) a casual player would likely find on accident and 2) would negatively affect their playthrough i.e. breaking their save.
Yea I quite playing Jedi survivor cause it constantly stutters and never runs smoothly. No matter what graphics settings or if you have the latest NVME drive it just stutters, even after the latest patch
you would think devs learn at this point, and era of time. im 33, and i can see with my eye alone that those games these days are hella low effort. the perfect example i love to use is zelda on the n64. back then the developers were rushed to get the second iteration into the stores for christmas, and zelda majoras mask was still impressive compared to ocarine of time (their first 3d zelda). nowadays people pay 70 euro for a zelda breath of the wild "copy" in tears of kingdom, and they the people talking like the wait for 10 years for a DLC is justified, and the gameplay is so great. as is grow older i see that people in general have abnormal consume traits. always wanting the newest and stuff, but the biggest problem is that people cant say NO to things anymore. doesnt matter the topic. i rather watch a randomizer, or somebody discover an old classic than letting those old franchises i used to adore getting forced onto me for another decade. some things are out of touch, but its hard to find new ideas tbh. almost everything has already been seen, tried out, and told.
As a massive Star Wars fan(outside of Disney's horrible trilogy) I really wonder why anyone liking Star Wars would like to skip any of the awesome content and confrontations this nice game has to offer. I spent 40 hours with my first normal difficulty playthrough and enjoyed every single second of it.
Well, it’s not as if speedrunners never played the game casually. It’s actually pretty uncommon for that to be the case. Can’t speak for everyone but usually when I’ve speedrun a game it’s because I played it, liked it, and wanted to keep playing. Some people might just play the game over again casually, but some people prefer to play differently.
What's the point of speed-running? I could understand it if you played the game properly to see how quickly you can do it but glitching through walls isn't anything worth talking about or be proud of, is it?
These glitches are definitely harder than just playing the game on Story Mode. But there's a glitchless category, and people can speedrun however they think is fun.
Personally, if you are glitching, clipping, hacking or otherwise "cheating" I don't consider it a speed run. In my opinion a true speed run is when you play the game as intended (minus all side plots) faster than anyone else.
Thanks for watching. I really enjoy making these speedrun breakdowns that showcase how discoveries are made and how routes progress. Let me know in the comments what other games I should cover.
Maybe cover other souls style games?
Oh mah GASH!! This sh** is BUCK WILD 🤣🤣😂😂

People are beating it in 30 before I can even buy it 😂
Me who took 15-20 hours 💀
Now were at the point that the speedrun is shorter than this video

Honestly, I like seeing you guys playing this way but for myself, I don't see the point on breaking the game, I like feeling it realistic
The Mass Effect music threw me for a loop, as i was playing some DDO and listening to you, and was like... wait.....

Great video Binks! I like that you went over the early discoveries!
7:08 i think you mean "this is where the fun begins"
Those pause buffer clips are so busted 😂
Great video! I’m terrible at speed running but love watching the methods. Also mass effect music PERFECT
when you "And here's where the fun starts" i died a little inside 7:10
Great content, as usual. This channel definitely deserves more attention
Hearing the ME1 music was pretty great around 16:10
MASS EFFECT MUSIC HERE WE GOOOO
Love the kotor 2 music
Music is from Free space II - that was a legendary game
You could also speed up all the boss fights by activating the purity perk
Since Purity is not available on a NG file until you've beaten the game on at least one file, it's considered an NG+ perk and banned for NG speedruns.
goddamn that casual spoiler at 5:45 lmao
