This isn’t a bad theory as Cere knew cal could sense echos so she left him the message and cal was holding Ceres body after her death which could have held the echo. But at the end Cal can hear Cere through the force so I’m sure he just was able to feel her passing.
I feel like the late reviews of games are better because by then all the hype has died down and you can look at the game more critically and not be influenced by the high you’re riding of a first time playthrough.
@@GameOverloadMOhonestly I wish i didn't get it at launch and I got it leaked after I pre ordered still loved the combat but the story just did nothing because I knew going in what was happening
I’d disagree, a story game can only be judged truly by the first time you play and experience the twists and turns, along with learning the new combat and finding all the new customization items. Going through and doing it for a second time isn’t the same at all and of course it’s not going to be as good because the excitement and the freshness isn’t there anymore.
Cal’s actor, Cameron Monaghan, is absolutely phenomenal I think it’s 100% deserved that he plays one of the most beloved Star Wars characters of the current era
I like to think that Bode and Dagan represent the extremes of what Cal could become. Bode represents giving up the fight running from the empire, and Dagan represents the obsessive desire of Cal to fight the Empire at all costs. Cal is the perfect middle ground, using Tanalorr for the hidden oath represents fughting the empire in a way that allows him to live a life with his loved ones.
16:35 when Bode gives cal the advice to pursue merrin i actually didn't think there was anything weird about it because the game let's you know multiple times that Bode is a father, which one can only become through a romantic relationship (usually). So I figured he was just alluding to how his relationship led to his daughter whom he very obviously cares for so it was all worth it. Thus, he was paying it forward saying that those relationships are always worth it
@@ThaleasQaelhe was trying to push cal to the want to keep tanalorr a secret. If cal like bode had something he truly loved he wouldn’t turn the planet into a Jedi temple
I absolutely fell in love with Fallen Order when I first played it in 2019 because I was growing up at the time, I was a senior in high school and I was fighting some demons and was uncertain about my future. Cere's quote was my saving grace: "We will always struggle, but that is the test. It's the choice to keep fighting that makes us who we are.” That game saved me. When Survivor came out last year the story didn't really resonate with me at the time. But just a few weeks ago I built my first gaming PC and replayed this game. Performance issues aside this game really resonated with me this time around. I literally sobbed at the end where Cal is reflecting over Cere's grave. It's been a hard year for me, trying my hardest to make it as an adult and feeling like I'm not good enough, fighting my own dark side and being on the verge of destruction, and just barely keeping it at bay. Some days its all I can do just to complete basic daily tasks. Cal's progression in this game simply paralleled my own in something so poetic and personal that it struck a deep chord with me. The Hero's Journey story is what Star Wars has always been about since 1977, it makes everything so relatable and reachable. I play these games because of the story. These games have changed my life. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Great Ted talk! It’s been the same for me except I’ve been an adult for a little longer and yeah buddy it’s hard and it’s always difficult not to be selfish and make the best decisions. In the end it’s always better to let go of hate and and anger towards the things we can’t control and just focus on the things we can and the people and relationships that will help you reach your full potential. Star Wars literally saves lives and I’m here for it.
Yeah i agree man. I also got it on my ps4 during my senior year when it came out. It was so simple back then. Seeing the additions the sequel made to the story makes it so much better. The focus on family and trying to find a place to live in peace is always classic story telling. Then seeing Cal delve into the darkness came out of nowhere. The fact that they let the players use the rage mode at their discretion is a great story telling and gameplay implement. Take the easy route and you'll be through rooms of enmies in no time. But those were all people under that armor. And Cal was losing control. I can't wait to see where this story goes. So far Cal Kestis is one of my favorite star wars characters ever
Appreciate the comment but it’s crazy to me that a video game characters quote was your saving grace when Jesus literally died for us all. I get your comment but man Jesus saves, gives hope.. not cere.
@@martindominguez1518 This is why people hate Christians so much. I in fact am a believer in Jesus but a YT comment section is not the place to preach that. People can learn truth and life lessons from many other places, not just Jesus. Keep your narcissism to yourself.
Bode's betrayal still stings. I started the game going "Oh, this guy is definitely gonna betray me", but then I loved his character so much I forgot all about my misgivings. Then he killed Cordova 😢
@Cryspycrazy I've just got the game on my PS5 (got it on xbox) and I'm just about to go to Tanalorr, but I was so reluctant to enter the cutscene where he betrays me because I fell back in love with him watching the cutscenes again. Goddamn Noshir Dalal and his amazing acting.
The scene with Bode’s home at the ISB headquarters is so tense, and I love it. You know that Bode hasn’t begun fighting because 1) he knows Cal has a lot of questions and 2) because Kata is there. If Kata wasn’t there, Bode’d have ignored the first reason and started throwing force hands.
Bode's betrayal truly shocked me. You could tell he never wanted to do it, but he had to, and his death was really sad for me and another character I really liked was Rayvis he was a honorable warrior and on grandmaster it took me like 10 tries to win him and Vader were easily the hardest story boss fights I liked Rayvis because the end of his story was good the best characters in the game are Rayvis Bode and well obviously Darth Vader himself
Jedi Survivor has become my favorite to enjoy Star Wars. Fantastic story, great combat, strong exploration, and to top it all off Panchos. All jokes aside the customizable aspects of the game ate up most of my play time.
I did like Survivor. But to be honest I like the first game more. I think my problem with the sequel is there's not a lot going on until the final third of the game. After the intro the game just kinda mellows out and isn't very gripping until close to the end. I definitely like the new mechanics and gameplay more, and I did like Survivors story whenever it decides to pick up. But it's just not enough for me to prefer it over the first game. Also I gotta say the planets and exploration felt dull to me in comparison. I think because the two primary locations throughout the whole game are only Khobo and Jeda. Both of which are mostly brown and kinda samey. Both with eachother and within their own environments. I like them but there wasn't near enough variety in environment for me. Which made me not care too much for exploring, which I did plenty of. I dunno. I think having a tighter story with a little more going on and a few more different environments would definitely benefit the game a lot. I'd give it a solid high 7 or low 8 out of 10. I like it, but wish it did a little more. Also I wish the game wasn't totally broken and had a playable framerate without crashes and freezes the whole time😂. I'm not sure how patched up it is by now, but oh boy it was not fun when I played it at launch
Imo this game is a 10/10. The risks an the darkness the developers took to make Cal even more depth i love it and the main cast and side characters make these 2 games beautiful cx i truly cant wait for thr 3rd finale and hope they do everyone Justice
I got this for my birthday on June 7th. My friend bought it before me and we couldn’t stop talking about it; when I finally got to play it I was SO hyped, and it superseded my expectations, the graphics, story, characters ect, I love this game with all my heart and it will be a very memorable experience for many years
I mean nothing Star Wars is made without a check/ok from Disney and Cal and this series is canon to Star Wars on the whole. He is a Disney Star Wars character in the same way Sora is a Disney character (which is why Sora was such a pain to get into Smash lol).
I don't think it was contrived that the arrays allowed the mantis crew to make it to tanalor. They had to make the compass some how and also stated in game before the big twist that Dagan was the first to navigate the void so it's implied that the arrays allowed him to do such
Exactly. The compass is more along the lines of just a key that gives you the proper coordinates and exact flight path… but to make it in the first place, you have to navigate blind. This likely meant trial and error with aiming the Arrays even
Huge props to respawn for fixing some of the minor annoyances from fallen order. Introducing fast travel, giving the option to remove fall damage, and replacing the “slow” ability were very welcome changes
Can we honestly get more vocal appreciation for the scores of Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor? They’re so John Williams-esque, but still distinct. The ambient music, the sad music, the bombastic music, it’s all really good. I find myself coming back to these games’ soundtracks a lot.
PS5 user here. Performance was never an issue for me. I love this game and loved it since day 1. Modern gaming hates the PC, talking about AAA games here, like Elden Ring and ReRemake 4 having issues that PS5 didn’t have half as much. Jedi Survivor improved the open world exploration and the LIGHTSABER MOVESETS ARE THE BEST IN THIS GAME!
While the issues weren't exactly game breaking like they were on PC at launch it still wasn't great on PS5 or Series X at launch. Frame rates on performance mode regularly dropped into the 40fps mark and even sometimes less. In quality mode it would even drop into the 20s. Now all that seems to be ironed out in the latest patch and it's mostly stable even though they removed a bunch of RT goodies in quality mode. Also keep in mind that the game isn't actually running 4k. Performance renders at around 1080p and upsamples to 1440p and Quality renders at about 1152 and upsamples to 4k. All cutscenes run at 30fps. With that said, it was at least playable to the point of being able to enjoy it at launch on console. So there's that
@@BrevskiIt's mostly a 60fps experience on console now, but it was really bad for months after launch. Should be playable now on console. But before the big patches we are talking framerates in the 30s in the 60fps mode in several main areas. And freezing. And crashing
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is still a mess on the ps5 as well. There's T-posing characters when traveling to different planets, the hyper space animation doesn't always work, the inside of the cantina on Koboh doesn't always load in properly which allowed me to fall through the map, in the tombs when turning the camera there's flashing white boxes around the edge of the screen because the environment didn't load in time, amongst other issues.
I love games like this. It´s just a long eventful ride with good story, characters and gameplay with no bullshit. Also I love that this game SLAPS at some moments. When Cal and Merrin where jumping through portal around that drilling thing, I was just screaming in excitement.
@@yatsey007 For sure, the sounds of the drill really sold it as this terrifying menace. That sequence is what changed my mind from thinking the game was mediocre to loving it.
I remember thinking that Bode would betray Cal when he was introduced, then they bonded and i thought, oh that a good guy, it was always an up and down with him, at the end i was convinced hes good and i aas absolutely gutted when he finally did betray cal
Same. That scene where he projects a holo of Kata gave me instant "motivation-for-betrayal" vibes. And then I just eliminated the possibility, until I heard him mention he was going to "record a bedtime story for Kata" and I thought "that's weird, why would he mention exactly where he's going" And then I saw him pull the blaster on Cordova and was in absolute disbelief
It was a real mind trip to replay the start of the game once you know the betrayal. Bode immediately presents himself as the perfect person for Cal to trust and befriend... and from the force echos later you can tell that it is so calculated. Even if Bode had things he liked and respected about Cal, first and foremost Cal was his target. It was some real CIA behavioral manipulation. Very cold.
Rick the Door Technician is my favorite boss fight… because you have this very cocky scout trooper who, despite his boss health bar, has normal amounts of HP, and you can just wipe your ass with his defeat so easily. My favorite way to kill him is to lift him up into the air, then slam him down, then up again, then slam him down, then up, and then down again. 3 of each, and he dies. You disrespect him so hard
As much as the twist with Bode surprised me and caught me off guard, which I loved, I do slightly like the story of Fallen Order more than Survivor. It was just so standalone and original.
"Cal Kestus is one of the best [characters] Disney have created" Which, honestly, says more about the quality of writing for the Disney Star Wars characters than it does for the quality of Cal Kestus' writing.
Have you found a droid named T1N8? T1N8's little story broke me. I started looking around that mining shack where I found her and started connecting the dots. When I finally found her in that shack's basement, I noticed a grave "made by someone who had a rudimentary knowledge of what graves looked like." Well, that was T1N8. She dug a grave for her master with her own hands and tried to decorate it. She doesn't say she did it and talks about her masters in a sad tone. Ufffff. When I talked to her again next to her masters' home, that brief conversation finally destroyed me. What a nice, emotional land mine.
I've only just played and finished the story mode, and I'm glad I waited. Was getting 90+ FPS, on ultra settings. I loved this game, and actually shed a tear at the funeral scene. My only complaint was it's still a bit buggy, had a couple of crashes during cut scenes, and some weird cloth mechanics with some of the characters, but otherwise one of the best games I have ever played. Can't wait for the final chapter to come out
I agree. This game has a great story. Super fun to play. The light saber combat flows very nicely…. It’s a definite step up from the first one. It’s like once you play this and then go to battlefront you realize how much better the lightsaber combat is….. my only concern for the third game is that the Director left to start his own company and that worries me because after all of this buildup, waiting in anticipation, if they put the wrong person in charge, you could really mess it up and that would be seriously disappointing
I liked fallen order but I LOVED survivor. Respawn stepped up with both gameplay and story. I cannot wait for the next one and I’m gonna have to replay this one
29:12 (Edit) Dank ferrik. Jacobcenter beat me to it. I believe she doesn't die in Cal's arms. I think that Cal finally woke up, returned to the Archives and found Cere's body. As he touches her, his Psychometry activates and he sees all of the Cere playable parts and then her death at Vader's hands. Sure she looks right at Cal but that could be because of precognition as she's joining the Force and sees Cal holding her corpse. Now for why I think this? As she "falls" into Cal's arms, the borders of the screen turn blurry like a vision. That and the fact as Cal finally cries, everything "turns" dark around him. We're returning to his present and nothing's left except for a little light and falling ash from Cere's fight.
Loved the video! Also how I stumbled across this video with no knowledge of your second channel, Ozzy, this was one hell of a great video! I replayed Jedi Survivor too and noticed so much regarding Bode, like you explained in the video, and it just makes it so much better. This might be one of the best games I've played!
While everyone likes their interaction with Rick the Door Technician, mine has a special place in my heart. I jumped back over the gap, force pulled him to me, then dropped him into the gap. Didn’t know if he’d be a hard fight or not, but was happy that I found a way to easily beat him. Then found out that anyone could take him out easily
People were initially very confused at how Cere very nearly killed Vader. “He’s Vader, nobody is as strong as him!”… except it happens quite often in the comics. Cere technically only reached the level of Jedi Knight, however her skills in the force and lightsaber combat matched that of a master during her time as a Survivor. The video does go on to explain that she let go of her fear, and this is true and it does further explain her increased levels in power. She is delved into the Light Side, giving her a large advantage against Vader. Yes, Vader is actually nearly killed. He barely hobbles away from the fight, and it is canon in this event that he was going to lose if not for his quick thinking very last second. He only won because Cere did a very dumb move in leaping at him instead of being caution. She honestly could have killed him if she didn’t get reckless and hasty towards the end. However, that would end up screwing with the entirety of the Star Wars timeline from that point on XD
Odd quirk of this game on release was that the three players in my friendship group who had average computers (my best mate only just met the minimum) had a pretty enjoyable experience on release. The two with massively overkill systems (bloody accountants - go figure) had nothing but problems even getting the game to run. Really weird.
I hope the third installment features more legacy planets. I know there is an argument to be made with old planets being overused in new stories for nostalgia baiting, but I think respawn could create a really beautiful world that’s fun to explore if they used a setting like Bespin, Cato Nemoidia, or Lothal. Edit: assuming it makes sense for Cal to visit in the context of the adventure that he’s on.
I just finished my second run through. Loved it much more second time around. Not to say I didnt enjoy the first run but I took my time for a much more thorough journey.
I must say, your video gave me a new perspective. The story is one, if not the best, story in years for Star Wars. Crazy that Disney gets credit for this gem, though. Also, wtf is that background music. It's amazing, and set the video. Seriously, it kept me focused on the video and your points.
I never trusted Bode from the moment he showed up on Koboh. I thought i was reading too much into things, but damn that scene on Jedah had me screaming "I KNEW IT!"
Loved this game. My first playthrough was genuinely one of the funnest times I’ve had playing a story game. It was just a complete blast. I was overly hyped for this game and it didn’t disappoint me
Finally just took the time this week to finish this game and although there’s still bugs and performance issues the world, characters, combat, story, just everything in those aspects are so well done. Seriously some of the best Star Wars content that I’ve witnessed in years.
“Aggressive crack heads that wanna throw down like there’s no tomorrow” lol 😂 I like to use dual because rapid fire attacks and if you need you can cancel attacks with block
Man… what a game. This video got me all back in my feels for this game. Such incredible characters, I’m so glad I was blessed to be able to play this game. Thank you for this reminder. Great video
I absolutely loved this game when it came out. The story was gripping, the combat was fun, and the exploration was rewarding. I consider it the best single player game I played in 2023. Awesome video by the way! Came up in my recommended and definitely will be checking out more of your stuff!
The only thing I wish this game did differently was keep cal on the dark side. By the end of the game he goes through so much pain and suffering just to have him brought back from his hate by Merrin. They could have kept him going into a possible 3rd game with anger giving us even more gameplay options by having cal be able to use both sides of the force. The story could even be cals trust in the force as he struggles with his new emotion wanting him to explore both sides of the force while pushing away his friends and people who care about him. Could have even kept bode alive so he can be the main villain going into the next game or have him be a sorta prisoner who cal goes to for advice on the dark side and obviously setting up a redeem ark for bode
I think Bode was just too far gone Man lost the Order, lost his wife. I could understand falling that far to protect the ones you love Also it’s arc* An ark is a giant boat or ship lol
Not only did I platinum this game, I 100% explored and collected and every single thing possible in the game that there is to do, I did. I’m not sure if there’s many people who did that but I loved it so much that I spent 120 hours doing it. Probably my favorite game along with fallen order that I’ve ever played. Loved the video.
I find it hilarious that we've all agreed that the mullet + extended mustache is the canon Cal look, especially with the blaster stance. All he needs is the pink poncho and hes perfect.
This game actually feels brilliant, I really loved it. It ran fine without Raytracing. + Story has very unforeseeable twists + New stance system is great + Love the new customization
I feel like this game got completely overshadowed by 2023 in a whole. The first game came out in a sweet spot where mandalorian had first started airing and it felt like the dawn of a new Star Wars era. I saw many people comparing Fallen Order to Jedi Survivor and saying that Fallen Order was better which I thought was insane. Jedi Survivor patches out almost all the issues I had with fallen order(back tracking on the maps mostly) And adds so many new flavors to the game. It’s a magnum opus of Star Wars games to be frank, great boss fights, an emotional story, several combat styles that are all viable and will keep you entertained the whole way through. It was a contender for my GOTY list last year and I’ve been craving a play through on master mode since
I returned to the game and last week finally platinumed it. Then I returned to Fallen order and this week platinumed that. Fantastic games. Couple things that stand out after replaying Fallen Order. The second game is better in almost every way. And 2nd I really appreciate that they take Cal's growth from the first game into account and NOT make you relearn those traversal and some combat/force skills. In that way, the whole 2nd game just feels like the story and characters are moving forward and treading new ground. This sort of game design is so rare. As much as I want a third game, I hope it's game design progression is the same as moving from game 1 to 2. But...if we don't get a that I am very happy to have experienced the 2 we have now. Pretty sure I'll be replaying these games.
I have no idea how anyone was shocked by bodes betrayal. It was hinted at from the beginning lol the moment he started speaking in the first mission on coruscant I litterally said “I don’t trust him he’s probably a spy”
I realized about Bode in that final conversation before the empire attacked. It was a surprisingly good twist that I realized it just before it occured.
Every time i play a game and hear Noshir voice a character, I can't help but picture Charles. It doesn't matter what character he's voicing, like the criminals and lackeys in Marvels Spiderman, he'll always be Charles to me ha.
If this game, or the next one, had/has online capabilities and/or DCL content, I just legit wouldn’t stop playing. I LOVED both the Jedi games, but I just wish there was some option for coop play
I'm definitely the type suckered in by character driven stories and great dialogue writing, so I can forgive and ignore contrivances (hence why I personally loved TLoU2 and was willing to forgive some of the "Hollywood" decisions made) if it means helping the characters along, so I can agree that at its core, Survivor's story is held up by its strong cast, despite the fact High Republic weak points. I adored this game last year, and I adore it this year. I plan to replay it soon, but I love that at the very least, this game is still appreciated even now.
Idc game should’ve got nominated for game of the year. Never experienced any issues on the ps5 and the game itself had improved immensely with customization, intricate gameplay, and the map. It was on par or even better than Spider-Man2
To me personally, the best star war series games I ever played. Loved it from start to end in terms of gameplay, story. music and just everything. Can't wait for the final part!! :D
I’ve played through this game at least 10 times, probably more. Both on PC and XBOX. Performance is still not where it should be, and probably never will.
I've been playing the game recently because of may the fourth and wanting to revisit the game and honestly its super good, i don't think I've seen a single performance issue at the point I'm at and the game seems way more polished then it was at launch
I remember playing Jedi survivor as son as I got it. I was lucky enough to have no performance issues throughout my play through, but even if it did have performance issues don’t think it would’ve ruined the experience for me. But having your game crash or not save is just annoying so it’s understandable why people are mad and disappointed.
First video I’ve seen of yours (I think lol), very nicely done! My coworker and I shared a sentiment we heard shortly after launch: As a Star Wars game, solid 8/10 As a Star Wars story, 11/10 Villains were wonky at times, but served their purposes at each step. The disastrous launch held this game back in a lotta ways, but I trust Respawn to learn from this for the conclusion of this trilogy.
I just got Jedi survivor now that it's on Xbox One, and I can whole heartfelt say that its the game I've had the most fun playing since the original dallen order in 2019.
fire vid bro i really like ur vids they are high quality especially for a channel just starting out i seriously thought this was a channel thatd been up for years already best of luck and god bless
Just finally beat the game after buying it a year ago. After getting half way through, for whatever reason i never picked it back up. I get the star wars “itch” every once in a while so i decided to start a new game and take my time. This is without a doubt my favorite star wars game, the combat and exploration is top tier and Cal embracing the dark side just topped the cake for me. Although the silly bugs can take you out of the immersion i quickly find myself looking past all the glitches and really sinking myself into the world. If you are a star wars fan, I highly recommend. the Coruscant is so stunning, a Cyberpunk open world game with that setting is the ultimate dream
Crazy how we could’ve had that very game, if not for disney
Disney would never allow it but an 18+ game like cyberpunk set in star wars would be amazing
If only Star Wars 1313 wasn’t cancelled.
Probably the best depiction of Coruscant we've ever had
@@clikkclak4254 yeah george lucas never intended for star wars to be kid friendly…except he did. you want star wars to be game of thrones 🤣
With that said what did you do for your future as an adult?
Bode's betrayal still stings. I started the game going "Oh, this guy is definitely gonna betray me", but then I loved his character so much I forgot all about my misgivings. Then he killed Cordova 😢
Will never ever forgive him for that
@Cryspycrazy I've just got the game on my PS5 (got it on xbox) and I'm just about to go to Tanalorr, but I was so reluctant to enter the cutscene where he betrays me because I fell back in love with him watching the cutscenes again.
You could tell he never wanted to do it, but he had to, and his death was really sad for me and another character I really liked was Rayvis he was a honorable warrior and on grandmaster it took me like 10 tries to win him and Vader were easily the hardest story boss fights I liked Rayvis because the end of his story was good the best characters in the game are Rayvis Bode and well obviously Darth Vader himself
i saw it coming from the beginning
@@cylo1859I called it at the beginning too but the game convinced me I had to be wrong so it stung a lot more
It didnt surprise me the game tried to make it so you like him and tgat you can trust him and that raised my suspicions
@theoutsiderjess4869 he seemed kinda suspicious but later on he saved Cal multiple times so I started to think he is truly good
@@Optimus337 that’s how they got me. He was truly good but he was in an impossible situation. That’s why the Jedi forbade having families
Jedi Survivor has become my favorite to enjoy Star Wars. Fantastic story, great combat, strong exploration, and to top it all off Panchos. All jokes aside the customizable aspects of the game ate up most of my play time.
I just don't find the story too compelling. I just can't get into it. Gameplay is what I enjoy the most
Your a liar lmao
My friend bought it before me and we couldn’t stop talking about it; when I finally got to play it I was SO hyped, and it superseded my expectations, the graphics, story, characters ect, I love this game with all my heart and it will be a very memorable experience for many years
I love the irony of cal being disney's best character and they technically didn't create him
That ain't irony, that's a sign of Disney's quality.
They didn’t create anyone, writers did
@@zacpatproductions2052 my point was that respawn created him and not a bunch of chills working for disney
The didn't replace it, they reworked it into an ability that has to build up, later allowing it to upgrade into a dark side rampage.
@@iainkilcar7463 no they replaced it
@@MrMaxwell no, you still can slow down time, it's the same force power just used in a different way mechanically
@@iainkilcar7463 no ur wrong
@@MrMaxwellhow is he wrong lmao he is technically correct in everything he said
Can we honestly get more vocal appreciation for the scores of Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor?
So there's that
Is it mostly a 60fps experience? I don’t mind a few dips here and there.
@@BrevskiIt's mostly a 60fps experience on console now, but it was really bad for months after launch.
Should be playable now on console. But before the big patches we are talking framerates in the 30s in the 60fps mode in several main areas. And freezing. And crashing
@@sawdust8691 thanks, appreciate it
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is still a mess on the ps5 as well.
32:05 btw a cool detail is, you can crush the big robots when you push them to you, its such a nice way to put out his darkness.
I especially love the mini shop's and characters you can gather in the saloon.
it's funny how EA's Star Wars Jedi: is the best Star Wars around 🤣🤣
I love games like this. It´s just a long eventful ride with good story, characters and gameplay with no bullshit. Also I love that this game SLAPS at some moments. When Cal and Merrin where jumping through portal around that drilling thing, I was just screaming in excitement.
I feel you on that bro. The sound design on that scene was incredible.
I thought I was a cornball for liking that scene so much lol
You disrespect him so hard
i loved the lightsaber customization in the game i spend up to half an hour looking what goes well together
As much as the twist with Bode surprised me and caught me off guard, which I loved, I do slightly like the story of Fallen Order more than Survivor. It was just so standalone and original.
"Cal Kestus is one of the best [characters] Disney have created"
Which, honestly, says more about the quality of writing for the Disney Star Wars characters than it does for the quality of Cal Kestus' writing.
Can't wait for the final chapter to come out
The story only has such a great feel is because of how the first one sets it up
“This video is sponsored by War Thunder”
Me: “Okay so I’m never getting War Thunder”
I liked fallen order but I LOVED survivor. Respawn stepped up with both gameplay and story. I cannot wait for the next one and I’m gonna have to replay this one
Insane to think it’s been a year since this dropped
One of the greatest games Ive ever played. Underrated as hell.
I could see the 3rd game having an older Cal and his family returning to the post empire galaxy and the fallout that entails.
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the sountrack. Barton and Haab really outdid themselves.
Just got around to it this week and i finished it in 2 days. Didnt think they could top the first game but they blew it out of the water. So much fun.
Jedi survivor was absolutely my game of 2023 by far. I loved every second of it and had a great story
I love how you slowly update Cal's hair and look over the course of your story summary. Nice touch 😂
Didn’t realize people had performance issues. I had a great experience with it at launch. Fantastic game
I just platinum the game yesterday so this is perfectly timed
One could argue that the parts that were maybe a little too convenient, were just the will of the force guiding them to the right path.
That's definitely my new head canon XD
I just finished my second run through. Loved it much more second time around. Not to say I didnt enjoy the first run but I took my time for a much more thorough journey.
A little over a year later, I have so much love for this game and its predecessor. Top 10 fav games all time for me. Cal❤️❤️
When bode shot Cordova bd1 makes a noise that’s sounds like that bd1 is mad
I must say, your video gave me a new perspective. The story is one, if not the best, story in years for Star Wars. Crazy that Disney gets credit for this gem, though.
Also, wtf is that background music. It's amazing, and set the video. Seriously, it kept me focused on the video and your points.
I love this game. That 3rd act was one HOLY $%@ moment after another.
I'm actually doing a one year live stream of this game. I'm glad that there are other people doing one year later celebration.
I played on pc and experienced a few minor issues but even with those it still blows fallen order out of the water
You still get to use the Dark side mode it's just not as OP as it was when you first used it but it is a huge step up from normal slow
I think that might be the tease for the last game especially when i saw bode smack BD if Bd and Merrin is taken from him who knows what cal will do
I think Bode was just too far gone
Man lost the Order, lost his wife. I could understand falling that far to protect the ones you love
Also it’s arc*
An ark is a giant boat or ship lol
Nah, we don't need a Starkiller.
Carter’s reaction to seeing her father being murdered before her very eyes was ridiculous!
Great video, great game - can’t wait for the next one
I find it hilarious that we've all agreed that the mullet + extended mustache is the canon Cal look, especially with the blaster stance.
All he needs is the pink poncho and hes perfect.
This game actually feels brilliant, I really loved it. It ran fine without Raytracing.
+ Story has very unforeseeable twists
+ New stance system is great
+ Love the new customization
Wish it had battle grid added
I feel like this game got completely overshadowed by 2023 in a whole.
The first game came out in a sweet spot where mandalorian had first started airing and it felt like the dawn of a new Star Wars era.
I saw many people comparing Fallen Order to Jedi Survivor and saying that Fallen Order was better which I thought was insane.
Jedi Survivor patches out almost all the issues I had with fallen order(back tracking on the maps mostly)
And adds so many new flavors to the game.
I guess it's cool that they turn Cal into a Kyle Katarn type, but it would've been cooler to have a new Kyle Katarn game instead.
That mullet looks so good on Cal. I love it!!
If this game, or the next one, had/has online capabilities and/or DCL content, I just legit wouldn’t stop playing. I LOVED both the Jedi games, but I just wish there was some option for coop play
Maybe the 3rd game (hopefully it's not a requirement)
Love Cal taking on Dagan’s ideology seconds after taking his life
34:04 You thought you could sneak this one past us, huh 😂
It was on par or even better than Spider-Man2
bro it screen tears on ps5
If it's launch wasn't buggy.
I started this game and stopped a hour into it at release I’m just now jumping back in to complete it this time this video was great for me
To me personally, the best star war series games I ever played. Loved it from start to end in terms of gameplay, story. music and just everything. Can't wait for the final part!! :D
I think that now Cal is finally becoming a jedi master
My coworker and I shared a sentiment we heard shortly after launch:
As a Star Wars game, solid 8/10
As a Star Wars story, 11/10
Villains were wonky at times, but served their purposes at each step. The disastrous launch held this game back in a lotta ways, but I trust Respawn to learn from this for the conclusion of this trilogy.
This game was great. Played on series x a month after release. Little to no issues on my end. 10/10
What an amazing experience.
Loved this game! Purposely waited to play( Like all games now). It's such a great story.
I think Cal is the most interesting and developed character is Star Wars full stop. Maybe Vader / Anakin beats him, but a close second.
great review great content and very nice humor.
gg's mate and thanks for this video!
