- For the better part of a year I've thought the Any% speedrun for Jedi: Fallen Order was kind of boring. Not enough movement, way too trick focused, skips two planets completely, and too short. So I made a new category that fixes all of those problems. All Abilities requires runners to collect all the Force powers, droid and lightsaber upgrades throughout the game - this requires us to visit every planet and complete some meaningful gameplay.

When I was a speedrun moderator for a game a while back I had to keep telling people "Run the category you made up. We can't just add empty categories in the hopes someone will run it." Literally a bi-weekly conversation, yet here you are showing the people how it's done!
For anyone interested in speedrunning or speedrunning a category that does not exist (yet); JUST GO FOR IT! I promise you that it will be the best fun you can have with speedrunning, on top of having the chance of it looking so much different/more fun that people will join in.
As a mod myself, people definitely care too much about leaderboards. I kind of get why, because viewers care about them too, but I always guarantee if you just speedrun the game whatever way you want to you’ll have the most fun possible.
I don't see people doing it but the ship that shoots at you on the train of brace you can actually block so you don't need to go behind cover and I tried this in grandmaster and story mode so im pretty sure it works on all difficulty
Metallica and Hulk Hogan did more damage to file sharing in a few years than most ever have.

I agree, any% is just too quick. You don't get to enjoy the game. Same issue is plagueing Elden Ring's any%

If a bunch of people start running it anything’s possible, but really I just did this for fun. We usually don’t make leaderboards for a category unless it has wide user activity and some longevity.

21:14 you were saying you couldn't fly because no lightsaber but a fix to that is to fly to the right when in the jaro tapal meditation thing and head back to the mantis. It will keep your lightsaber but still take you to ilum.
