- In this video we're testing out the Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F/4 on the Sony FX6 for a short documentary that we're currently working on. Even though the lens doesn't seem that impressive, we were happy with the results we got and will definitely use it again on a low budget documentary.

the 28-135. is a great doc lens - its an all in one powerhouse with the AF features.
It was great for the little doc I was shooting! Will definitely use again especially on corporate stuff!
Yup I agree this lens is a powerhouse have used it on a documentary paired with the FX9 the par focal focus is great! autofocus is super fast or smooth how ever you se the camera settings. 28mm allowed me to get up close and personal paired with the full frame sensor and the 135mm gave me the ability to get close and tight when I could not use my feet to physically get closer to subjects and objects. The very grippy focus wheel and zoom wheel just felt nice and if I ever needed to pull focus manually it was so smooth and easy to do. the F4 aperture was great for me I dont care for super blurry backgrounds especially for doc work it helped me keep the world present and use it as a character as well.
Absolutely great lens for sure! I prefer zooms a lot of times and these surprised me with how good it looked and how easy it was to shoot on them because of all the features!
This lens is literally my work horse.
Great range and features…Is it the sharpest or most artistic lens out there? No, not by a long shot BUT it’s super fuckin practical for doc work.

I always read/ saw negatives about that lens 😅 but it was actually not so bad at all! Since am mostly doing doc work 😊

Is it parfocal?
Yes it is!
It doesn't have a backfocus adjustment so while it's close to parfocal not all copies on all days will be parfocal.
