Just got back from my first year as a volunteer at Oshkosh. It was an absolute blast to be out there

Flew into Oshkosh and what a first time experience flying into a busy airspace and seeing the Beautiful Lake Michigan !!!!! , so much to see and experience !!!! Love everything about this and the best place to Parking and camping at South 40 !! Keep your eyes on a swivel and have fun.
I haven’t flown into the Oshkosh airport yet, but maybe someday! Glad you enjoyed yourself!!

@@ToniHiltunen1980 It is ok,i also did it, but with time ,i note how the free abandoned projects was not real, so many edit to create a false event. just merchants selling view time and sell advertisment and support ,monetizing the content inst the only wat to , thank you

We flew into Oshkosh one year in a piper warrior. It was an insane landing, so many planes! The plane landing in front of us spun out and was facing us on the runway. We had to give it power and land over him.

I went to Oshkosh back in 1986!
I was there with the (British RAF) Air Cadets at the invitation of the US Civil Air Patrol who were graduating from their Blue Beret course and they also marshalled the planes landing at Oshkosh.
We were there for the whole week, what a fantastic time it was!

I started watching your content after the recommendation of “Pilot Debrief”. I enjoy you content, energy level, and your positivity. Keep it up. I understand you would like to fly in all 50 states. I live in Michigan and I think flying to Mackinac Island would be a memorable trip for you and for your viewers. No cars everything moves by bicycle, horse or foot. Lots of history and we have the Grand Hotel with on of the largest porches. Anyway, I want to make you aware of a little slice of heaven. Fb has “addicted to Mackinac” that will help give you some flavor of the island. Hope to see you flying in MIch. Matt B.

Kay also Power flow exhaust systems: in short your PA-180 has 180 HP BUT "No it doesn't"! It's built to handle 180HP but the exhaust pipes/manifold used to determine that your engine has 180HP isn't what's on your airplane, they were basically straight non restricting exhaust pipes used to determine "potential" or "best case scenario" engine HP.
You lose "about" 15% of your HP because of the exhaust pipes that are on your airplane. That's a 25HP loss (or so). A Power flow tuned exhaust adds about 15HP back to your engine. My point here is that your engine is built to withstand 180HP and even with the tuned exhaust you're still short of designed for HP (and thus safe). This is a long to short explanation and my percentages may be off but my spoken fundamentals are scientifically valid, truthful and factual. Just a thought "while you are there"! See my under comment about "Knots2U" too.
Kay there's more. Have your Dad inquire about EGT and cylinder head temps as well as efficiency (GPH). All benefit from tuned pipes!
You are "safer" with Power Flow tuned pipes on your aircraft (your engine is under less stress and will last longer)!

I've always wanted to go to the Air show in Oshcosh. It sounds like a lot of fun. only thing slowing me down is lack of funds, and no pilot's license. I hope to start training one day soon just don't know when.

10:43 I like that you kept in the entire sequence for adjusting the altitude in response to an ATC clearance. I've flown a GFC 500 and I never could satisfy myself that I was getting the sequence right. So first you select the altitude, then hit VS, then adjust the vertical speed? I think that was close to what I came up with, but it just seems cumbersome to have to push all of that rather than just adjusting the altitude. Otherwise the GFC 500 is so elegant.

So did you end up flying into Oshkosh, or did you park at Timmerman and drive up? Was hoping to see the chaos of the full Airshow approach with "follow the train tracks" and "rock your wings". :)

Why would I do that? I worked hard for my instrument, and even harder from certified flight instructor instrument!
The A30's mic seems very hot. Is there a mic volume control in the app?
I haven’t had any problems with my A30 let along my A20 but if it was too loud in the video that was probably just bad editing on my part! Apologies! I will pay closer attention to that in the future😊
I know noise canceling is good but as pilot don't they interfere listening to engine issues?
Not at all- the engine noise still comes through and my gauges will detect any anomalies! I’m always watching my RPM’s, oil pressure, oil temp, and fuel pressure too. Odds are if something goes horribly wrong, I’d see it in the gauges, but I would also hear it😊
