Matt - the disabled airplane was me! The arrival was very hectic and in an effort to get down quickly but then still hit the spot, just got a bit to slow and had a hard landing which disabled our right main gear. My plane ended up at the shop at OSH for 5 months. Well - I guess "sorry" I messed up your planned approach. Just glad my son and I were ok and we could reuse the airplane. Keep up the great flying and awesome videos!
Any landing the souls walk away from is a victory. Sorry for the damage and glad yall are okay. Hope to fly myself there one day but still getting a PPL.
That was just too much fun to watch! Thank you for posting this and sharing a bit of what it's like to be on that end of arrivals. And for leaving in the radio chatter.
Wow, just wow! Matt, I have never ever in my life seen footage like this. And, damn, you lived it!! Congrats dude! You are living all of our fantasy lives!!! Blue skies brother!
Amazing video, excellent edit job. Shows just how intense flying in formation is too. I have never ever ever seen a video quite like that before. thanks! Mind blowing.
I have to say I am very impressed with the formation flying, and so nice to see the Migs along with you. This is a show I have always wanted to go to, what with the modified and experimental aircraft to see, the regular aircraft and so on, so much to look at. Great video, very interesting.
Remember that guy hanging with Jon who told you how PAPIs worked and showed you pictures of the inside of one while hanging out at that one display inside a pavilion for an hour or so? I also got some photos of you taxiing out for one of your demos...
This was just outstanding,, Thanks for putting us all in the cockpit with your inbound Oshkosh flight,, and to think we all fit, Ha Ha. Ya know I have been wanting to go to iconic Oshkosh EAA airshow for about 40yrs but never have made it there. I would go this year but it's late in the season and if I could find a room for the multiday event I have a feeling it would be pricey.
wow, that’s a great share you made, thank you. I am from Quebec and with my son we are going to see Bagotville International Air Show, then seeing it from your sight with you was super interesting. I like discovering you and following your videos. Stay safe pilote.
I've been playing DCS for years, and it's amazing to see actual pilots in action. I hope to experience real flying someday, even as a guest, to feel the controls in real life. Just subscribed!
i so badly want to get into the retired jets scene, only on private pilot right now though, i dont see it in the near future. This video is awesome though, the formation looks amazing.
If the weather was going to be good, Id obtain my PPL tomorrow morning. Its taken me about 3 months. I absolutely love that I started down this path. I will make this trip one day after I've got a few thousand hours, lol.
Incredible stuff. It's insane that you're allowed to do this as a "normal" citizen. Just need the right pilots license, time, money, planning, skill, and experience.
@@johnqdoe Nobody hates Matt. He's a gift to the aviation community. That said, he got behind the airplane for a sec and we noticed. Getting behind the aircraft in this class of aviation, especially in formation could kill several people including him. We don't want to see him get dead. Nothing more..
Everyone gangsta, till the old Soviet Trainers & Fighters join the Airshow Frestross (Fresco Albatross) Awesome, great flight Red-Blue-Bandit 🤙 Stay healthy for all of us & Safety First! Peace across the Globe ✌😉
A T-38 really? You realize its one of the hardest planes to fly and pilot right? Its a cool looking jet but from my F5 days I think many people don't realize that planes trying to kill you every time you land lol
@MetaliCanuck A guy can dream and fantasize, can't he? I'm never going to be able to get a license, let alone own ANY kind of airplane, so it really doesn't matter what I want.
@tonyvelasquez6776 too expensive, and I doubt I could pass an FAA physical. Also, I don't have the time to work a full-time job and care for my wife, which is a full-time job of its own. I my area, it's $12k to $14k just for a private license.
Top job! The number of things that make this very hard is not appreciated unless you've tried this type of thing. What's the proportion of current / ex military folk vs pure civilian only pilots? How much pre-training was conducted prior to this flight? Excellent video.

Unfortunate. Glad y'all were ok!

any landing you survive is a good landing sir! glad you and your son can enjoy the skies together
this is why i love the aviation community
where you in an RV?
Matt: You will remember this flight for the rest of your life. I know as I was part of the T-6 50th a long time ago. We had over 50 t6s in formation.
So awesome to see this from the cockpit . Ton of hand eye ,hearing and flight control great job.

Beautiful fly there, Thank you for sharing your story and pushing yourself to do things you were probably uncomfortable to do.
Well done to all crews 👏😃
I have always wanted to be a pilot and love videos like this
Very interesting to saw the familiar livery of the "Region" jet team :). with which I managed to work
That is amazing! I would be extremely nervous that close to everybody… you guys did great!
Awesome! This is in your Top 5 vids. I just wish there had been a "Red 5 standing by" call in there somewhere.

Matt...On a coolness scale from 1 to 10 this was an 11...!!!

Flying out of TVC in TC.. right in my back yard 👌🏻

Very cool video.

Hey Matt, can you recommend a good knee holder for a smartphone? I don't see anything listed in your Amazon store. Thanks.
That was effing awesome. Oh how I wish I could get a license and a jet (T38).

I searched for the centerline in all the video but it escaped me at the end :)
wow

Fantastico
matt did you fly it ?
Is this from last year
I think so.
nice
how the hell do you get clearance/approval to fly a fighter jet?? or instruction for that matter?
Awesome flying!!
Awesome! 😍
Another nice video, thank you
Did he took off from Fond du Lac airport or a different airport?😅
Edit: West Bend Municipal Airport?
Amazing what you can do with a boat load of money. Well done.
Do you own that L39?
Neck cramps after this flight?
Great stuff
That was fucking awesome.
Is that a gap in the canopy
Before the canopy seals are pressurized, yes
Hope you got the ice cream at the FBO there lol
So cool!
