canadians are the worst. americans 2nd. neither ever shuts up. rest of the world is actually getting stuff done without talking 20 volumes. this here is an example. clean, calm. you dont feel tired trying to keep with nonstop yapping. you can tell ive seen a few of these heh
I'm a nervous flyer and watching you control the aircraft so beautifully is really going to help me. Many years ago I flew from London to Male but couldn't relax enough to enjoy the flight, and then spent 10 days on Baros Island worrying about the flight back to London! Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos.
I used to love this flight. Did it on A330 and A350 with Qatar Airways. ETOPS most of the way so use of the terrific CPDLC was used. A bit surprised the new runway not opened yet. Shout out to the air traffic controllers for handling all the backtracking with arriving/departing traffic and also for Hulhule Hotel, the layover hotel. Good memories!!
Pretty interesting video I was the quality development engineer for the Boeing 777 ultrasonic fuel gauging system used in Boeing 777 Made by smiths aerospace uk. Once in production, I became the quality release engineer. I have released, a large number of systems to Boeing in Seattle.. Now I am retired.
Nice and safe flight to a small island country. Reminds me of those tiny airports in tiny islands of Micronesia except Guam and Saipan which has bigger facilities almost a decade already. Thanks.
I admit I enjoyed every minute of this flight along with Cap Khaled and the Senior First officer on board Carolina (beautiful BTW. Where is she from?), smooth flight with the best explanations. Nothing to complain, wonderful. Ignacio from Caracas, Venezuela, thanks.
This video was amazing. Beautiful views from taking off from qatar and landing into the Maldives. Professional pilots very interactive and informative. Hats off to these pilot pros wow ✈️✈️✈️✈️🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
hello captain From an educated and experienced person, these words and treatment are very inappropriate. I am also not a Muslim to follow Hussein and ask for help from a person who died 1400 years ago. I wish people would respect each other more, then the world would be a better place. I'm sorry for you who don't read history to understand that the name of the Persian Gulf has always been the Persian Gulf when there were no Arabs, sir.
@@aryoubarzanghiasian The Arabs are peoples whose origins trace back to the Arabian Peninsula. Historical evidence and archaeological findings indicate that Arabs have been living in this region since ancient times, approximately around 3000 BCE. Settlement: The Arab tribes were among the first to settle in the Arabian Peninsula, and their culture and language have developed independently since that time. The Persians, or Iranians, are peoples whose origins trace back to the region of modern-day Iran. The history of the Persians begins with ancient Iranian civilizations, such as the Medes and the Achaemenid Persians, dating back to approximately 550 BCE. Settlement: Advanced Persian civilizations existed prior to the Achaemenid era, such as the Median civilization. However, the Achaemenid Persian Empire, established in 550 BCE, is considered one of the first major Persian empires. My question to you is: Who is ignorant of history ?
@@couchpotato5655I don think so. I often can watch the aircraft from its arrival at the airport until I board it. Especially low cost airlines have a ground time less than an hour mostly, when I fly.
I mean the 777-300 is a 1997 aircraft lol what did u expect, for an aircraft that old it aged like fine wine tbh the systems are still compatible with everything today even things like CPDLC are not used in most airports, the 777X has a much more modern cockpit that is what u should compare the 350 and 380 to not the 777-300
Tell me you don't know shit about aviation without telling me. In case of wet runway, a "hard" landing is preferred over a "smooth" one. They want the landing gears to firmly stick to the ground to provide maximum braking otherwise there is a risk of hydroplaning.
something tells me you wouldn't have all that camera gear in the windows blocking your field of vision if your equivalent of the FAA was sitting on the jumpseat giving you a checkride....shameful display of unprofessionalism

777 a very innovative modern technology design of the aircraft I love it long range can go further than the Maldives

GREAT JOB, FULL RESPECT TO THE CREW.
Good pair. He was very informative as was the First Officer. They both were very easy to understand. Landing on an a island was also different.

My dream ❤ qatar airways
sénior first office in Qatar airways bel traguardo ..... pilotare un Boeing 777/300..
Mainly, the walk around check is performed by the base engineer and not the captain.
Why was the cruising speed 270 knots if the cruising speed of the Boeing 777 is 400 knots or more?
No longer Paul. I realised the video is slightly old and the new runway is operational now.
wonderful landing..
Nice Video. When was this video recorded? Because the old runway was used.
Right before last years World Cup.
😅😅

A lot of weight aft while she was doing her walk around, a lot of front strut showing.

So the pilots feel everything worst?
the 777 cockpit looks so old compared to a modern cockpit in the A380 or A350.
Nothing called an ‘old’ cockpit. It’s got the exact same stuff that the a380 or a350 should have.
@@ictoan no, the 777 has tiny screens and no sidesticks, no foldable table for the pilots. That is 20th century technology , not 21st like Airbus.

The landing was very bad...
Cross winds + heavy aircraft & landing in an island . You don't wanna chase a smooth one 😊😊 safety first

poor girl, she didn't get to fly the plane, just the rest....
Sometimes they switch like on the way to Male Captain Khaled will fly and on the way back to Doha FO Carolina would fly
It also matters on the skill of the pilot because some airport have requirements of the captain or fo to land so maybe it could also be that :)
