Best part is my 4 yr old son says “Dad I want to watch a bear hunt” first thing do is pull up is your page and we start watching bear hunts!! FANTASTIC!!!

That grizzly was massive! He was bigger than any I have seen here in Montana. He was totally the king of that valley. Good call not shooting the cowardly bear. I mean who runs from a cow elk, seriously?!?! Can’t wait till next Sunday.
On the Washington coast I was always taught to remove the fat off a bear as soon as possible as to not make the meat taste bad. Watching you guys eat bear crspins in the back country has opened my eyes to try new things , you can never learn too much. I 100% agree bear meat is the best! Awesome footage of the griz and its good to be able to compare that to the color phase you passed on. Looking forward to the next video!
Thanks Ben! I remove the fat as quickly as possible on fish-eating coastal bears. On mountain bears I try to keep the fat but we usually cook all the fat within a week to 10 days before it spoils. Once it’s been canned or rendered on the stove, it’ll last forever. But it’ll go rancid quick in an uncooked condition-that’s why I don’t like to freeze bear meat and I prefer to can it.
After watching your series on Bear hunts I think I might be more excited about my bear tag this year than my premium deer tag lol. Thanks for sharing your hunts with us.
I spent one night a week or so ago dreaming about scouting big black bears. To bad it was just a dream. Summer is busy for me but I hope to hit the mountains soon. You guys have really changed view on bears. I have began to realize the value of the seemingly healthy population here.

Verpa Bohemica grow in western WA. It’s basically all we have on the west side of the mountains. If they weren’t edible I would have been dead a long time ago. Sweet video regardless. You’re the second best hunting program in my opinion. A close second to Steve Rinellas meat eater.

I'm with you guys love bear meat. Best hamburgers and the mushrooms wow when I was a kid in the 60' we used to pick them every weekend when they were out. Surprised you're not hunting grizz. I have swore for my life i would never eat bear meat cause of the things ive heard, bad influences i guess i had a friend get sick and the doctor asked if he had been eating bear meat witch he had not but that scared me away from ever wanting it.. now i do find myself craving it from him talking.. ha ha another great video

if you dont already bear hunt i sugest starting in early fall when the bears have been in the berries
adam rice fall is all spent on Elk. But I’ve heard when they have been eating berries they are really tasty.

Verpa Bohemica grow in western WA. It’s basically all we have on the west side of the mountains. If they weren’t edible I would have been dead a long time ago. Sweet video regardless. You’re the second best hunting program in my opinion. A close second to Steve Rinellas meat eater.

That griz was a tank! I'm sure that got the heart pumping even harder than what it already was. Great way to kick off this leg of the series and diggin on that new animated landscape/pathway layout. I love your Bear Hunts. My boy and I have taken 3 bears now since last year. Bear hunting is starting to be my favorite time. Still waiting for my canner to get here so we can our bear meat. Your videos convinced me and my hunting partner to do a spring bear hunt in Idaho this year. Our fingers are crossed that we tag out on a couple of old Bears like you guys did!

I absolutely love the way you film and put everything together. You just put so much work into what your doing and you can tell. The info is amazing, your documentary style story telling is my favorite way to watch hunting videos. I wish more guys would put together their films in this fashion.

I'm with you guys love bear meat. Best hamburgers and the mushrooms wow when I was a kid in the 60' we used to pick them every weekend when they were out. Surprised you're not hunting grizz. If I wasn't so damn old I love too be out there with you guys.

I think ryan should consider being a sales person because of his discription of how good bear meat is got me wanting some. I have swore for my life i would never eat bear meat cause of the things ive heard, bad influences i guess i had a friend get sick and the doctor asked if he had been eating bear meat witch he had not but that scared me away from ever wanting it.. now i do find myself craving it from him talking.. ha ha another great video
