Edit: A lot of you are saying this was not the place to start with EJ, we enjoyed the song a lot so if it only gets better in regards to checking out his 70’s catalog then we’re all for it!! What’s next?! Time to check out some Elton John!! We’ve been wanting to dive into this for a while now!! What’s the next track we gotta check out by him?!?! Cheers friends have a great and safe weekend! 🔥🤟🏻
Tiny Dancer* Benny&The Jets* Someone saved my Life Tonight... He's an Icon 🎶🎼 You guys got to stay in the 70s...I'm Shook. You would pick this song to start. 🤔🧐🧐😳
Elton John's has a record that I don't think will ever be broken. He had a song chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for 31 consecutive years. The amount of talent, flexibility to new tastes in music and just putting out good music that requires is absurd.
Think you unearthed a T-Rex with I’m Still Standing? Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding is on a completely other level. Elton is a great musician and composer. That tune will prove it beyond any doubt whatsoever. I can’t wait til you guys listen to it.
EJ ballads: Your Song, Daniel, Tiny Dancer, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Candle in the Wind, Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me EJ bangers: Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, The Bitch Is Back, Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding, Crocodile Rock, Bennie and the Jets
"Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding", "Levon", "Saturday Nights Alright (For Fighting)" and "Madman Across the Water" "Benny and the Jets" is also great.
"I've Seen That Movie Too" will change your life. It has the most clever drum part ever recorded, a perfect vocal performance, a soaring guitar solo way ahead it's time, and production values that give a beautiful song the right amount of grit without anything remotely cheesy.
"I'm Still Standing" is a good song, but it is middle-of-the-pack as far as Elton John's music goes. If you want to hear some real gems, I would suggest "Levon", "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", "Your Song", 'Philadelphia Freedom", "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding", and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". For some really good rockin' fun, try "The Bitch is Back" and "Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting)". When you do that Music Share Monday, definitely do "Rocket Man". It is his most iconic tune, and deservedly so -- definitely an S-tier, in my book. I like your attitude about honest reactions. Your experiences are going to be different than those of us who grew up on these songs, and your reactions are enlightening. For example, you guys were not all that impressed with "Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones, and yet I think of it as being in the top five rock and roll songs of all time. But my early experience of that song was in a completely different context. That song was released in 1965, and in the world of 1965 rock and roll, that song was an incredible standout, a real game changer. But, if you have never heard it before and listen to it now, it might sound kind of dated, and the production may seem crude, because the techniques available to producers in 1965 were far short of what was available just a couple of years later. Your honest reaction highlighted those facts and make it easier to understand the reactions young people have to classic rock songs. I thank you for that. Have fun and stay safe, guys.
"Levon" is a lyrical favorite. You'll benefit from a lyric video, but don't choose one with a bunch of photos of Elton, because his outfits will be distracting. Early Elton John is grounded in the Piano, and that is the better Elton John music. Levon is a little bit "symphonic rock". Bernie Taupin would write the lyrics and Elton John would then put the lyrics to music, working separately. Yellow Brick Road is very good, too. "Don't Let the Sun go down on me"
"Tiny Dancer", a love song, I guess, was different in that it has a slide guitar that gave the guitar parts a very country sound, but It's not a country sounding song. I would choose this live version. To any ageists, its senior citizen Elton, but in very fine voice. It's actually got a little more added in to the arrangement, just when the song is getting too repetitious. Here you can see the second percussionist adding a little drama to the video, and on this live version, the slide guitar adds more to the final section than there was on the studio version. ua-cam.com/video/Z6Wdjy9A6CM/v-deo.html
He has such a huge catalog of killer tunes. Tiny Dancer is my favorite. Candle in the Wind, Yellow Brick Road. So many great songs. Thanks guys. Stay safe.
“Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding”....i've told you about it a 100 times, c'mon! And you still owe us a new reaction to "Thick as a Brick", because you did the short version! ahahaha
"Tiny Dancer," "Your Song," "Madman Across the Water," and "Candle in the Wind" are my favorite Elton John songs, but almost everything is worth going out of your way to listen to. My opinion: everything by Elton John is B+ or better; most is A or better, and there are more than a few solid S tier. He's had an outstanding career
@@9337sjm That was a myth too. He was still very f'd up on drugs for another 7 or 8 yrs after this. I heard him on Howard Stern's show once saying he was blasted on the video of this. It's the title that makes people think it was that kind of comeback.
Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding is a mini concerto, but then,Elton John has such a massive catalogue with so many great tunes, you'll end up a fan for sure. Best album? Probably Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, every track a winner.
In 1983, I went with my wife on vacation to the South of France. We spent a day in Nice, and on the Promenade des Anglaise, outside the amazing hotel the Negresco, were a film crew, actually filming the official video to the song. If you get a chance watch the official video, its great fun.
You should listen from Elton: "Goodbye Yello Brick Road" and "Tiny Dancer" Too... And on similar style Billy Joel - It Still Rock and Roll To Me, his first n°1.

Love Lies Bleeding / Funeral for a Friend , Madman Across the Water , Goodbye Yellow Brick Road , Someone Saved my Life Tonight. , Honky Cat , Levon. So so many - stay in the 70s with Elton to build up your knowledge base then dabble with later stuff
Maggie Audiss thanks - sometimes I wonder how someone gets like 176 thumbs up and I get like 7 - lol. Only hope is that the guys see it I guess but I wonder Thanks again
Michael Proch That’s a great tune but you think it rocks harder than Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting? Or Bitch is Back, All the Young Girls Love Alice?
I definitely would suggest some older Elton John. "Tiny dancer","mad man across the water","Levon","burn down the mission" and my personal favorite"Mona Lisas and mad hatters" ☮️
The video filmed on the French Riviera. It’s a good video, I automatically link the video to the song because the first time I heard it was the video back when MTV was wall to wall music videos.
I was a huge fan of Elton John back in the day. Saw him at the Spectrum in Philadelphia for my16th birthday with a group of my girlfriends. He was wearing his huge glasses, feathered hat and platformed boots. And, when he sang Philadelphia Freedom in Philadelphia, all the house lights went up in the arena and everyone seated on the floor stood up on their seats. he stopped singing and just let us go ... "Philadelphia Freedom, shine on me!"
HAVE TO DO BENNIE AND THE JETS!!!!! Oh, Alex has heard it... lol... And 'Your Song,' 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' "Young and ignorant"... lol... ALL of us old timers were too! 💛
You guys have such positive vibes I always feel better about the world when I listen to music with you. Thanks for being who you are. Please don't change.
Oh, btw.......Candle in the Wind is about Marilyn Monroe and was written as a tribute to her. Elton John performed it at Princess Diana’s funeral, changing some of the lyrics to fit the circumstances.
"Dude if I'm not ignorant and young, I don't know what else I am!!"~Alex. ANOTHER GREAT QUOTE!!! Andy, I appreciate your comment about the "yeah, yeah, yeah" part because I never thought of that myself. I usually don't get sick of that part, but I can see how some people may feel indifferent about it over time. This is one of my favorite Elton John songs, along with "Bennie and the Jets" and "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me." Whether you like Elton John or not, you can't underestimate the power of him and Bernie Taupin. They are a really great songwriting duo, it's insane! Overall, great reaction video and great way to end the week! Stay safe, Andy and Alex!!! :)
First reaction - Why are people continually down thumbing you, what’s so wrong in their life that they can’t feel the joy you put into these things? Right, now time to listen to your review ...
@Martin Schell Some folks get upset when a pick of ours isn’t their idea of a good pick. I can see why one may get frustrated if there are other picks that they’d rather see but agree that the negative energy isn’t the way to go. Cheers to ya!
You know, i had kinda the same thought watching another video of theirs just the other day, i was thinking what are people thumbing down. My guess is that they hate the song/band/person and it's nothing against Alex or Andy .
Andy & Alex Thanks, those people need to take a look around and get a sense of perspective. You can’t fix stupid. Keep doing what you do, you’re a breath of fresh air. 🙂
I was somewhat frustrated when I saw the song choice but gave a listen anyway. My realization is that I was projecting my own opinion of the song into a situation where it doesn’t belong. If the disapproving viewers gave it some thought instead of just reacting their thumbs may turn the other direction.
Love this comment! I was getting a bit ticked off, reading the negative comments... No song is not worthy of a listen and agree they're a "Breath of fresh air". -- Andy & Alex, just let the negativity roll off your backs... It's your experience you are sharing with us -- Thank you!
Usually I just sit and enjoy watching your guys faces as certain bits of the song hit. This I couldn't help but sing along the whole time. Man you have a fun rabbit hole to go down if you're going to do more Elton.
Random thought: I see some complain about the song choice and others wanting more videos per week (they have college to finish), as other reactors are doing. Actually, this song is kind of perfect... "I'm Still Standing". Let's keep positive thoughts for our healthcare providers and first responders, trying to save lives- battling covid pandemic. Keep hopeful thoughts for those losing their businesses & livelihoods. Let's work together and be supportive of one another, so we are Still Standing. -- It's just my opinion that these things are more important than which Elton John song was not reacted this time around. -- Peace. Stay at home; stay informed & stay well!
He's never been on my playlist but I respect his talent for sure. He and Bernie are probably one of the best singer songwriter duos of all time. Together they've produced radio hit after hit all through their careers. I normally wouldn't listen to this poppish music but your reactions make it worth it! Great job as usual guy's! Keep rocking and stay safe!!!!
Gents, Great pick for Elton John IMHO. This was my divorce song man. Got me out of the post divorce depression. To this day I listen to this song at least once a week. Then again my divorce is the gift that keeps on giving. It has allowed me to rebuild my entire life from the ground up. However there are much better songs from his 70's catalogue such as: Saturday nights alright for fighting. Tiny Dancer. Madman Across the Water. Good bye yellow brick road. Your song. Candle in the Wind. The Bitch is Back. Etc.
The biggest myth is Elton wrote this after he got clean. No. He was at his worst. In an interview he said he was very wacked on coke even making the video. He got sober about 7 or 8 years after this.
I never heard that rumor. I recall this coming out in the 80's around the time people were saying Elton, who was HUGE in the 1970s was done and a has-been. He decided to prove them wrong, and he did a great job of it.
The movie made it seem like this was his comeback from drugs. Wrong. So many inaccurate things in that movie (and the Queen movie also). I guess people like a good story more than a true biography.
Ya, he loved Martinis. But the reason this album is better than the few before it is that he and Taupin started writing together again. Taupin is a master lyricist.
I actually saw Elton John on his very first American tour, at the old Electric Factory in Philly. John, a drummer and a bassist. A truly remarkable show.
To me, "I'm Still Standing" is mediocre (I'd give it a C) compared to other EJ songs. It's nice that you like it, though. I'm not hating. 💖But since you all can review other songs, ... check out his classics: "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", his rendition of "Pinball Wizard", "Daniel", "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", and, of course, "Good-bye Yellow Brick Road". And maybe you two should do something live? It doesn't have to be reaction to a song, you can answer questions. We can hear more of "Alex's Stories" or "Stories by Andy"? Cheers and stay safe! 😀🥂
You ever hear Sara Bareilles's cover of "Yellow Brick Road". Elton himself said it's the best cover of any of his songs he's ever heard. It's truly masterful. (Another one of her covers that is incredible is "In Your Eyes"... omg amazing). Off topic, but. 😋
Loved watching your reaction to this. You can’t help but be lifted up and smile and sing along. So many great tracks still to explore. Your Song Yellow Brick Road Just to name a few. Great act.
I’m still standing? Really? Not sure how many songs Elton John has but this is somewhere near the bottom. Try Levon, Madman across the water, The bitch is back, tons more. Keep rockin fellas. Enjoy watching!
I'm digging that you liked the song - I've always enjoyed it too. So many other tunes to check out: Saturday's Alright for Fighting, Tiny Dancer, Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me and many more. Excited to see you dig into the catalog.
Strong suggestion for another Elton John reaction: "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" (studio). Amazing bass line. It's slow but powerful. Let me also re-suggest "Josie" (studio) by Steely Dan. Thanks, guys.
Wow. great commentary once again. I don't always agree with you or one of you either, but, still respect what you have to say. I just enjoy the crap out of seeing you two hearing songs for the first time that I so enjoyed in my youth ALL the time back in the '80s!!!! I appreciate this channel and so glad you all started this!! Nothing but entertainment for me!
If you guys liked THIS song, I can't wait for you to go back and discover his older stuff. This one is...ok. but it's Pop, not rock. Im gonna pile on with Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding . Stay away from anything he did late 80s through 90s lol
As an avid Elton John fan, I got to say: why? Out of all the outstanding Elton John songs that are out there, you 2 snappa-heads decide that this is the one that you want to react to??
Long time collaborator Davey Johnstone on guitar and backing vocals. Glad you liked this cheese, but please avoid starting with the 80s for any band that started in the 60s and 70s. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting is his banger.
Saturday Night's Allright for Fighting is the Elton Banger that was a college Friday Night get ready to party song for me growing up. If you need more proof, the Who covered it in an Elton Tribute Album and their version kicks ass as well as you can imagine.
That Two Rooms tribute album is probably the best tribute album I’ve ever heard. Sinead, Sting, Bruce Hornsby, George Michael. Some really amazing covers.
The first time I heard this song was on a live broadcast from one of his concerts in Pittsburgh back in 91 I have always been a fan of his thanks to classics like Tiny Dancer and Rocket man. Ty guys yet again. Loved your reactions and am proud his music has stood the test of time, like those of us still fighting in the frontlines of this pandemic. Keep up the great work.
So many layers and catchy parts. Really cool lyrics. Great solid voice full of confidence and tonality. Those are all of the reasons why I became a Huuuuuuuuuuuge Elton fan!
Guys (or as you would say, Dudes)! I'm still a fan of the series but as with Bruce Springsteen, Thin Lizzy, Yes, and most recently, Dire Straits, you're misfiring on song choices. To be clear it's the SONG choices that are the misfires, not the artist choices. This song doesn't even come close to the "real" Elton John classics. Here is a list of songs you can't miss with (some of which Alex mentioned); Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, Rocket Man, Crocodile Rock, Bennie & The Jets, Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding, Levon and many more. The duo of Elton John as singer/songwriter and Bernie Taupin as lyricist is unmatched in pop/rock music.
Kind of agree, but I think it might be because of their concern over getting blocked on the bigger hits? Not sure. But yea, the song choices could be better for these Hall of Fame artists.
This is the first Elton John song I remember hearing. I was 7 when it came out, the video was on MTV all the time. Any Elton song is a good place to start, pay no attention to the music snobs.
Ok boys...at some point you have to check out Paul McCartney & Wings if you want some bangers from the 70’s. “Jet”, “Helen Wheels”, “Hi Hi Hi”, the live version of “Soily”...it’s endless
People are such haters. Song's a total 80s banger and I love that you guys recognized it right away and aren't constrained by preconceptions. That said, looking forward to you hitting the heavier stuff. Madman Across the Water!
@@planetneutral320 i just dont like geezers like you acting like the soft Hair Metal yall had was "Heavy" real heavy music didnt even really get good and going til the 80s. You old Rock people dont appreciate Metal, calling stuff like Elton Jon heavy. Theres a time and place for it but Ozzy Osborne, Elton Jon, Led Zeppelin, Van Hallen, and even David Bowie were all super soft and borderline purely should be classified as Rock. Because non of them had a shred of heavy bone in their entire catalogues.
@@risecarter My old roommate was a guest DJ one Sunday night after a big fight with his girlfriend. He started off with that. Katie wasn't very impressed. 😄
I'm still standing is a really good pop song, but there are 20 plus elton john songs you should hear as well. His greatest hits 1 and 2 are both insane. Some of the best rock and pop music ever created. Elton had a crazy vocal range. Listen to more of his catalog. It is huge with a million hits. His music is very unique, but is still rock and pop. To me, he is in the top 10 of rock and pop act of all time. My favorites:: Rocketman, Tiny Dancer, Bennie and the Jets, Pinball Wizard, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Philadelphia Freedom, Crocodile Rock, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Island Girl, Can you feel the love tonight, Candle in the wind, Daniel, Your Song, The Bitch is Back, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Honky Cat, Levon, Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word, Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting and others.

Pezboy60 yo, Great call on his best rocker - “Saturday nights allright for fighting“, I hope the boys see this. :-)
This track is unfairly maligned by snooty 70s people. This is a super vocal, and a perfect example of optimistic 80s pop.
They can’t copy and paste all their “knowledge” of insider music stuff.
you nailed it 😊
"Saturday nights alright for fighting" - Elton John

"Empty Garden" Elton John -- he wrote this for John Lennon
“I’m Still Standing” is okay if you wanted to review pure late 70s pop, but you should have reviewed “Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding”. 💯
This was 1983 actually, but I agree with your recommendation.
MrAitraining - oh yeah, this was Elton’s comeback hit after all of his drug/booze problems. You’re right.. early 80s pop!

All The Young Girls Love Alice as well.
Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting

Elton John's "Madman Across the Water".....

Good suggestions. I'd add 'Burn Down the Mission' and 'Amoreena' off of Tumbleweed Connection.
I'm glad I aint the only old timer here enjoying the older Elton tunes. And I have to admit, Nickelback did a good cover of Sat. Night's Alright
Yes those songs are soo fantastic and that's just a small portion of Elton's great music
Saturday’s Alright for Fighting is definitely one song y’all need to check out by Elton.
Oh and The Wasteland, that’s an awesome song too
"Tiny Dancer", "Your Song", "Honky Cat", "Daniel", "Crocodile Rock", "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting", "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", "Philadelphia Freedom", "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues".
"Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". Yes!!
That song is This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore. Elton has always been one of my favorite artists of all time as has Billy Joel.
I'd give you more thumbs up but it only allows one. Wait!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Maggie Audiss thanks - sometimes I wonder how someone gets like 176 thumbs up and I get like 7 - lol. Only hope is that the guys see it I guess but I wonder Thanks again
@@jerrypetrillo2903 love it
Love Madman......
You’ve got to listen to “Take Me To The Pilot”, in my opinion it’s his hardest rocking song
Two thumbs 2 Mona lisas and Mad hatters. Song kills.
I forgot about Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters...wow, just a flat-out masterpiece of a song.
@@edhubal2638
Could be a favorite.
Loved it in the movie Almost Famous.
I LOVE Burn Down The Mission and Where To Now, Saint Peter! Also Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters!
@@roughmatch3899 I seen Elton do Burn Down the Mission and the crowd went crazy! What a great request.
"I'm Still Standing" is the bullet train of pop rock.
You guys have to check out "Funeral For A Friend - Love Lies Bleeding In My Hands".
Won't be disappointed. Thanks for your entertaining videos.👍
My favourite Elton John song - Funeral For A Friend/Love lies Bleeding His BEST SONG EVER
Funeral for a friend/love lies bleeding. It HAS to be done. Or at least Tiny Dancer or Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
One song to kick ass: Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting!
You need Funeral for a Friend Love Lies Bleeding
The video filmed on the French Riviera. It’s a good video, I automatically link the video to the song because the first time I heard it was the video back when MTV was wall to wall music videos.
"Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting" is a great banger. It rocks hard like two whiskey sippin', rock listening college kids I can think of.
Oh, Alex has heard it... lol...
And 'Your Song,' 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road'
"Young and ignorant"... lol... ALL of us old timers were too! 💛
Nikki Carr YOUR SONG is great! I always forget about that one.
In the same vein, Daniel.
Bennie and the Jets for Music Share Monday, maybe...?
‘Someone Saved My Life Tonight’ or ‘Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting’
Saturday Night's All Right For Fightin' and Crocodile Rock. Two bangers.
I remember when rock was young....
You guys have such positive vibes I always feel better about the world when I listen to music with you. Thanks for being who you are. Please don't change.
@Teresa Luz
Aww thank you so much, brings loads of joy to hear you’re enjoying it!! Cheers Teresa!! ❤️🔥😁
Some other great songs are "Tiny Dancer" and "Your Song"!
Oh, btw.......Candle in the Wind is about Marilyn Monroe and was written as a tribute to her. Elton John performed it at Princess Diana’s funeral, changing some of the lyrics to fit the circumstances.
Wasn't a dry eye in the house as I recall.
I wonder if these fine young lads know that Elton John was a totally different and MUCH better artist in the 70's. It's not even close.
@Martin Schell
Some folks get upset when a pick of ours isn’t their idea of a good pick.
I would agree with A and A+ because as good as this song is he has songs that are so much better.
To honor Bill Withers who passed away today, any of these: Use Me, Ain't No Sunshine, Lean On Me.
RIP Bill Withers "Grandma's Hand".
Lean on Me is one of my all timers.
"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" will always be my favorite Elton John song.
Mine too
Best Elton John song for me is Saturday Nights Alright (For Fighting). Great track to rock out too 🤘🏻😃
I'm stunned that you guys haven't heard more Elton. His entire library, even the pop, is great. I can't name a favorite, because there's many.
They're kids, ffs!
egoisnotadirtyword they're in college. Hardly "kids".
Bennie and The Jets, Saturday Nights Alright, Crocodile Rock
Nicely said
Way to keep it in perspective!
@@tallykev6608 Thanks. It had to be said. Good grief, huh? Take care! :)
@@Lightmane Thank you. All of that moaning over a song choice. smh. Take care!! :)
Gents,
Great pick for Elton John IMHO. This was my divorce song man. Got me out of the post divorce depression. To this day I listen to this song at least once a week. Then again my divorce is the gift that keeps on giving. It has allowed me to rebuild my entire life from the ground up.
However there are much better songs from his 70's catalogue such as:
Saturday nights alright for fighting.
Also Elton John didn’t write the lyrics. Bernie Taupin did.
The movie made it seem like this was his comeback from drugs. Wrong. So many inaccurate things in that movie (and the Queen movie also). I guess people like a good story more than a true biography.
That's a bummer. I've always loved the video.
Wings of Pegasus does live chats and gets a lot of donations during them
Those were great suggestions "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" is very underrated IMO.
In the late 70's something to dance to that wasn't 100%disco was appreciated.
You ever hear Sara Bareilles's cover of "Yellow Brick Road". Elton himself said it's the best cover of any of his songs he's ever heard. It's truly masterful. (Another one of her covers that is incredible is "In Your Eyes"... omg amazing). Off topic, but. 😋
@@RockyMtnRebecca I haven't heard it but I'll check it out. I also like Keane's cover of "Good-bye Yellow Brick Road", too!
Loved watching your reaction to this. You can’t help but be lifted up and smile and sing along. So many great tracks still to explore.
Your Song
Yellow Brick Road
Just to name a few. Great act.
I’m still standing? Really? Not sure how many songs Elton John has but this is somewhere near the bottom. Try Levon, Madman across the water, The bitch is back, tons more. Keep rockin fellas. Enjoy watching!
Hater
I'm digging that you liked the song - I've always enjoyed it too. So many other tunes to check out: Saturday's Alright for Fighting, Tiny Dancer, Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me and many more. Excited to see you dig into the catalog.
Strong suggestion for another Elton John reaction: "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" (studio). Amazing bass line. It's slow but powerful. Let me also re-suggest "Josie" (studio) by Steely Dan. Thanks, guys.
Love the one he did with George Michael but it's perhaps my fave.
Wow. great commentary once again.
More Elton Songs: Levon, Tiny Dancer, Yellow Brick Road
If you want an Elton John banger, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting is the one.
"Funeral...." the obvious choice, but "Saturday Night's Alright for Fightin'" was alway my fave.
Try anything from “Tumbleweed Connection” or “Madman Across TheWater”
As an avid Elton John fan, I got to say: why?
Out of all the outstanding Elton John songs that are out there, you 2 snappa-heads decide that this is the one that you want to react to??
WiseGuy5674 Think about it all u people giving these guys a hard time about the song they chose - how r they gonna know? They never heard it before!!!
Some fans like this song, and what one person’s idea of a mediocre song is someone else’s favorite
This is a great song.
Not my first choice, and that means there are lots of better songs coming!! Thanks
Oh you guys....there's SOOOOOO much more greatness from Elton. Dig into his catalog. Brilliant artist. Legend.
All right got a killer song! Still need some ten years after dudes!👍
I watch your guys reaction vids not only for the step back in time for the memories, but also to see you guys step back and grow with us.
80's Elton...meh. Elton's 70's sooo much better.
@Joe S The age of autotune.
Hold On Loosely by 38 Special
everyone check it out
So many layers and catchy parts.
This song is still a classic just not the same era as his 70's stuff.
This is the first Elton John song I remember hearing. I was 7 when it came out, the video was on MTV all the time. Any Elton song is a good place to start, pay no attention to the music snobs.
Peter Gabriel..."Shock the Monkey"
Ok boys...at some point you have to check out Paul McCartney & Wings if you want some bangers from the 70’s. “Jet”, “Helen Wheels”, “Hi Hi Hi”, the live version of “Soily”...it’s endless
People are such haters. Song's a total 80s banger and I love that you guys recognized it right away and aren't constrained by preconceptions. That said, looking forward to you hitting the heavier stuff. Madman Across the Water!
Lol the "heavier stuff" guy Elton John is as heavy as a fucking pillow, theyre aing no Heavy Elton John
@@youtubesucks3490 Take my word, I'm a madman, don't you know?
@@planetneutral320 i just dont like geezers like you acting like the soft Hair Metal yall had was "Heavy" real heavy music didnt even really get good and going til the 80s. You old Rock people dont appreciate Metal, calling stuff like Elton Jon heavy. Theres a time and place for it but Ozzy Osborne, Elton Jon, Led Zeppelin, Van Hallen, and even David Bowie were all super soft and borderline purely should be classified as Rock. Because non of them had a shred of heavy bone in their entire catalogues.
You guys low key sound like you’re killing this song with kindness. The A+ won’t hold up over multiple listens, I promise you.
Pretty much anything you pick is a winner. Try "The Bitch is Back". Love it!

The Bitch is Back is my theme song! I sing it when I walk into work. LOL
