I think you'll recognize a lot of his songs when you play them, he's been all over the radio for many many years. Elton has wonderful ballads, funky songs, and a lot of all-out rockers. I'd suggest Bennie and the Jets, Philadelphia Freedom, definitely Tiny Dancer, Madman Across the Water, Honkey Cat, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, there's so many!
Elton's career has been so long that his discography is huge. There are countless great songs on many of his albums that are just as good as his wonderful famous hits. Don't neglect to check out such greats songs as the 11 minute epic FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND/LOVE LIES BLEEDING, or MONA LISAS AND MAD HATTERS or THE BTICH IS BACK.
I just subscribed because of your reactions to Elton John. He is an absolute icon. I also like how you really get into the songs you are reacting to. Please keep on reacting to Elton John. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you ! Your reaction was great ! I was hoping someone would do a reaction to this and it was you ! The best one to do it ! This is my most favorite Elton John song these days !
A little back story about Elton John. When he was still a struggling musician, he found a guy named Bernie Taupin who had sent Elton some lyrics. Elton was impressed and they became a team. Bernie wrote the lyrics and Elton set the music to it. About 8 years after they hit it big, Elton went down a hole of drugs and alcohol. When it got really bad, Bernie left the team, but left Elton lyrics about how he was feeling. The song Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was born when Elton put the music to it. Elton eventually checked himself into a rehabilitation center and was away from music for a few years. Towards the end of his stay there, Bernie payed him a visit, and healed the wounds that had caused him to leave. This song, I'm Still Standing, was one of his first releases after getting "straight", so to speak.
Elton was my first concert back in '89 - when he wasn't exactly at the top of his game like he'd been in the 70s but still great. Three hours, barely an intermission where he stayed onstage the whole time. It was an AMAZING experience.
As a Gen Z you probably recognize the song from the animated film "Sing". I wouldn't describe it as one of his bigger songs. The video for this one is really good, you should check it out. Also check out "Daniel" or "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by him.
Hi Silas, What's up? I have an idea of a reaction for you: The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter (Official Video). I think you'll love Mick Jagger's vocal performance and the anthological singer Merry Clayton's participation on vocals! Album: Let It Bleed (1969). I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot!!!!
You shouldn't react to Elton's hits because he wrote his hits for the deaf people who knew him from the Socar Society. His brilliant music pieces are only on albums and in his live concert recording. Check the guitar on Madman Across The Water (tumbleweed connection) or the Piano on Elton John - Madman Across The Water (BBC Sounds For Saturday 1971) 🥴
Although I like Elton’s music I don’t care whatsoever for his opinion of politics among other things… so I’m leaving a comment because I support you, but I can’t like any Elton John videos. Sorry, dude.
Silas: *replays the guitar solo to enjoy it once more*
Me, a diehard music lover:
“I’m subscribing… yeah, yeah, yeah”.

this dude never fails to put a smile on my face reacting to songs like these…. love this guy😂😅
Take 15 minutes and listen to "burn down the mission" from his LIVE album 11/17/70. Totally worth the time, and has a few surprise songs mixed in

Love the lamp guitar! The video for this song is fun.
This song had for me the first memorable Video that I can remember it was a lot of fun.
Remind me of how I used to react to music when I was around your age. Awesome!

Good luck on your finals. Elton will always be there waiting for you to explore.
My favorite from my teen years...still today is " sweet painted lady" and " "dirty little girl ".
Thanks Silas

Best reactor..lovelovelove ❤️✌🏻🌸. Very authentic, and feels the music…❤️✌🏻🌸
Please react to his song "Sorry seems to be the hardest word". A beautiful emotional song ❤
Obscure elton song (not to Elton Fans) but one of my favorites/very moving song - Indian Sunset
"Ticking" too
For your next Elton John song, I recommend "Rocket Man", quite possibly his very best song.
TINY DANCER is one you'll love, Silas!
After you hit some more 70’s Elton, check out later Elton with the official videos. I Want Love and This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore.
Elton John has some great album cuts too! Try the song called Come Down In Time. Great stuff!😊
Do MADMAN ACROSS THE WATER!
If you want to hear another great Elton John guitar song, try Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting.
Would love for you to react to his album Madman Across the Water from 1971.
Elton John had the best band in the 1970's, called The Elton John Band.😊
Howdy howdyyyy 😂
Try Redneck Friend by Jackson Brown. You get Elton, Eagle’s Glen Frey, and the great David Lindley who just passed recently.

Album: Let It Bleed (1969).
I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot!!!!
People will rave about his ancient albums, but more recent songs like " live like horses" " they call her the cat" and " birds" are just as good
You should've reacted to the video of this song
Skyline Pigeon is great!
You should do more Metallica! I’d tune in
Silas go back in time with Elton - the earlier the harder. #HonkyChatuaeu #Captnfantastic #YellowBrickRoad

I ha e to agree. It's his journey to take. We are Cree to listen to whatever we wish.
