You can tell Jaxon's parents loved all kinds of music and must have played those songs a lot in his formative years, because he's familiar with so many artists, both old and new, in all the videos he appears in.
I’ve loved Elton John since I was young and I’d never gone to a concert before so I figured my first should be his farewell tour in Tacoma. It was AMAZING. He outfit changed three times, his piano rolled around the stage, and he ascended into the heavens at the end while singing yellow brick road. Absolute 10/10.
I saw him in Hershey, PA last year (show was delayed by COVID, was originally scheduled for 4/20/20, very bad timing) and it was great. I watched his final US show live-ish on Disney+ and when he ascended at the end I laughed because he stopped to pull his pants up first but then cried.
I say the exact same thing!! I saw him in DC with his final tour. He was literally one of the best! And he went DOWN playing on the piano too! I cried with GYBR but still sang along.
Princess Diana's funeral is the only time Elton John played that version of "Candle in the Wind", and after the funeral service, he made a statement that he would never perform that song ever again. Princess Di was one of his best friends, and was by his side at the funeral of Versace just a few short weeks prior to her own death. She is still so very much loved and missed by so many.
The reason Sir Elton looked so devastated at Princess Di's funeral was because she was actually one of his best friends...I'm amazed that he managed to make it through this performance without crying...
Seeing all these teens singing along to Elton songs warms my heart so much. I grew up with these songs as a young person in the 70s and they mean the world to me. They're timeless songs and I'm so happy they're still loved with each new generation.
He was actually friends with princess Diana so that’s why he sang…that’s why he is close with William and Harry…he even sung William and Kate first dance song. And Eminem he is great mates as he helped him so much get sober as Elton has had been drinking for years and drugs…he has helped so many people….btw may need to watch film rocket man
These videos give me hope for future generations. That some of these young people are not only familiar with Sir Elton John, but can sing along makes me smile.
@@masgalsakti and at 19 his taste in music and his manners are better than many people twice his age. He is a well brought up young man so kudos to his parents
It's so awesome that the kids this age know Elton John so well. And, when you showed all four groups singing at the same time it gave me literal goosebumps. For a second or two I felt like I was at a live show. 😀
This episode was good Elton John is a legend. I will say Jaxon has a pretty decent voice. When he was singing along to rocket Man and a couple of others .. would love to hear him sing the whole song.
Fun fact: In 2016, Johnny the gorilla sang I'm Still Standing in the movie Sing. In 2019, Taron Egerton, who played Johnny, played Elton John in the movie Rocketman and got to sing I'm Still Standing for a second time (Elton said that he wanted Taron Egerton to sing the songs instead of Taron pretending to sing and someone adding his voice in later).
@@eddmarioand Elton John was asked to be in the first one, but declined. He watched it and his reaction was "I'm such an ingrate." I think he asked to be in the second one
@@gaffer2602 That's not the only funny fact about the first Kingsmen movie when it comes to the cast. In the original comic it's loosely based on, one of the people that gets kidnapped is none other than Mark Hamill himself. In the movie, they changed it to a random professor...who was played by Mark Hamill.
I was their age when Elton John first started becoming popular. I was almost 13 when the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album came out. I remember popping it on the turn table, turning the sound up really loud and laying down in front of the speakers with the album jacket and I listened to the album over and over. So good. The guy in the yellow jacket can sing.
JAXON!!!! YES!!! Jaxon never fails to 'bring it,' on these Music REACT episodes! I have been a fan of Elton John, since before I saved up enough money to buy the album, "Elton John: Greatest Hits," in 1974!
The performance at Diana's funeral was the one that MOST impressed me because he held it together singing at the funeral of someone who was SOOOO close to him. They were well known and very close friends for years.
Those of us who were around back then saw Princess Diana comforting a distraught Elton John at Gianni Versace's funeral. Three weeks later he was singing at HER funeral and it felt so surreal.
Seeing these young people have so much respect and fondness for Elton John, gives me some hope for the younger generation. I am 48 years old and have always been a huge Elton John fan. And I have tons of respect for all these young people in this video, for showing a personal side of themselves. Your parents should be proud of you
I applaud Lucas for personality and character progression over the time hes been doing the react channel videos. When he started out he was a little kid spouting a parents kinda hateful words about LGBT and other things and now hes just authentically himself.
These Elton John songs are so amazing. A lot of them were part of my childhood. The performance of "Candle In The Wind" at Princess Diana's funeral always touches my heart. Elton and Diana were good friends, so watching him sing it makes teary eyed. I don't know how he sang it without crying himself.
I grew up with Elton John music always in my life.. the first time I ever told another boy “I Love You” was while “Your Song” was playing. My heart broke at the end of the ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” concert. I think everyone was shedding a tear or two but wearing a smile. Thank you Elton for all the music and the memories.
It was hard for him to sing at Diana's funeral because she was a personal friend- they'd had a falling out, and had only reconciled a very short time before she was killed. "Candle in the Wind" was originally about Marilyn Monroe, but Elton and his songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin, reworked it to honor Diana.
I really enjoyed this video. It included all the Elton John moments immediately thought of and more! I was surprised the producer didn't bring up the fact that Elton was close friends with Princess Diana when the teens were saying how much pressure/how hard it must of been to sing at her funeral because of how beloved she was. It must have been even hard for him as someone who knew her on a more personal level.
Growing up in the 70 & 80's, I had the privilege to listen to the songs all the time. I remember the most the car rides, played at pools. He was everywhere.
You know when I see all these reactions. I'm happy that the younger generation is being able to see what I grew up with. And yet no one was touched among upon the beautiful song daniel
Sir Elton is an Icon. I have a relative that is staring his musical career and Elton has taken him under his wing and has really helped promote him. Thanks for all you do Elton!
One of the dancers in I'm Still Standing is Bruno Tonioli, one of the judges on Dancing with the Stars. One of my friends from school got Elton'sfirst album for Christmas and she played Your Song on repeat so much that she wore the track out
The slide guitar and bass drops on "Rocket Man" are iconic! I've been an Elton fan since I was 14 and am in my 60's now. It's heartwarming to see these kids have so much respect for Sir Elton.

It would be LEGENDARY to have Sir Elton React to this React video. Full circle of appreciation. Also, Jaxon hahaha love that kiddo, such a cool young person.
Do these kids realize that not only was princess Diana of beloved person in general, but that she was a personal friend of Sir Elton John? Which makes his performance even more heartbreaking.
Funny story: My husband and I were listening to Elton John, and "Can you feel the love tonight?" came on. My husband exclaimed, "I didn't know he covered this song!" I was like,"Really dude?" I thought everybody knew that he wrote it!
I’ve watched this episode like 3 times bc I love Elton John so much! It makes me happy to see all of these kids truly appreciating his music. Jackson is such an old soul
Jaxon is not even 21 years old & has eclectic musical knowledge & taste. He's putting people, both younger & older than he is, to shame with that music knowledge & interest.
ok, but can we just appreciate the blonde girl and yellow jacket guy's singing, cause they were good. Also Elton John is a natural treasure and must be protected at all costs
It does not surprise me. Elton is everywhere. Movies, tv, broadway, cartoons, duets/colabs with everyone, everyone sampling his tunes. He’s inescapable.
Your Song is my and my husband’s song. He courted me with it while playing guitar in 1970 while we were in Jr High. Love Elton John! So glad the kids know his songs even if it is through movies and such.
