Rolling Metal Shop Table Build | JIMBO'S GARAGE

- I had a client who owns a sign making shop ask me to make them a rolling metal shop table they can use to cut and make all their signs on. They will be putting a plastic top on this and will mainly be used for light duty stuff. I actually ended up making two of these for them that could lock together and make one huge table. It is great with you have have something this big in your shop to work on.

Dear Jimbo, I see you from the south of Argentina (Rio Gallegos), I did not miss one of your chapters, I have learned a lot with you, since I am self-taught and passionate about blacksmithing and the team of tools to achieve a excellent completion of the project. unfortunately here we do not have that level of tools. My heartfelt thanks for the work you do. God bless you
Great redemption from the grinder video! This is a great table - love it jimbo
Nice simple table Jimbo! Real clean.
Thank you - Jimbo
Love how neat your jobs are
Works pretty good!
Thanks for video, JG!
I applaud your attention to detail. Nice work as usual Jimbo.
-Pidge
Jimbo, As always a great project.
Great table ...always you're best maker ciao Jimbo
Nice bench. Great quick job.
Nicely done Jimbo! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Wow! Amazing! Top👍🏻
Nice cart build. I've done dozens of carts and tables like this one, and the weak link always seems to be the casters, so I like to bolt them on, which makes them easier to replace. I just cut plates on the cnc plasma with the hole pattern of the caster. There are also pilot drill bits with countersinks built into them, which makes 1 less step when fastening the plywood down. Nice cart though, and nice craftsmanship. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for information especially size of tubing and how to paint, magnets
Learning video for us. Thanks
Super build
I like the tidiness in your projects very nice... Keep up!!
I do my best. Thanks - Jimbo
I just built a very similar table. Awesome to have. Locking casters are not even necessary if it is as big and heavy as this one. It never has a reason to move on its own.
enjoying your videos during lockdown
Nice build. I have a 3 foot x 5 foot version. I mounted the casters by welding the plates to the leg bottoms and then bolting the casters to pre drilled holes in the plates. felt it would be easier to replace a failed caster this way .
Yeah, would be too bad, if one breaks and you have to cutt'em off :D
Table came out nice and should work out great.
Thanks for watching -Jimbo
fantastic job Jimi best wishes and regards from Poland
Nice job Jimbo
Saludos desde Spain 🇪🇦🇪🇦
Thank you for watching. -Jimbo
I don't remember seeing the giant welding table before. That sure beats welding on a concrete floor!
Very nice work jumbo
Thank you! Glad you enjoy watching. -Jimbo
Always a good job👍👍👍🎉
Thank you. - Jimbo
JIMBO'S Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for watching! - Jimbo
beefy table, nice build Jimbo
Very nice. I learn a kit with you
I have built the same size tables for a sign shop but they have a ½ in thick glass for cutting out sticker's and other things and all the tables can be hooked together for big signage
Essa mesa ficou perfeita
Hello! I love what you do, and you often inspire me! What Saw Blade do you use in the metal cutting circular? Are you satisfied with how you cut and endure over time? Thanks!
Parabéns
I do same thing with my projects love having a good clean look without effecting strength. If I'm building something for heavy duty use then beauty isn't the key strength is
The best thing about you Jimbo is you look exactly like my father who used to work as a welder too.
awe
did some how miss the clip of you setting the table off the weld table to the floor?
What kind of air lines did you use to go around shop for air compressor do you have a video on it ?
nice video
If You could make even more longer videos than earlier, that would be great, your builds are allways interesting!
Will keep that in mind. Thanks. -Jimbo
Love your videos, especially love your welding table. I have the 2’ x 4’, but one day hope to get the big boy. Still waiting for your bench dogs in your store, any update?
They are coming soon. I’ll put it in a video when they are available. Also keep checking the site. Thanks for watching. -Jimbo
Despite all the negative comments about bolting on the casters. One I like the clean look of welding them on and two nobody really knows if the tubing would be interference of the bolts
GOOD JOB :) you need some fireball tools angle thy really work nice to clamp angles to
Hey, I just noticed a good selection of rods and reels above the roll-up door. Fishing/catching video?
Ya know I don’t fish much now but I used to a lot. I ran a tournament for years. I do have a little video from Havasu ua-cam.com/video/Y7H0GLKNB6g/v-deo.html thanks again for watching -Jimbo
What kinda casters were those. Where did u get em Jimbo
What’s the story of the piece of wood screwed to the chop saw to the right of the blade? Always wondered.
I like your videos cause you don’t fuck around.
Great table. Where do you get your casters?
Roughly how much does it cost to powder coat psi or however its measured?
What kind a plazma cuter u running there jumbo
Молодец мужчина. Круто все .видно любимым делом занимается.
if the fume abstractor is in the way you can also benefit from lettings it run up in the ceiling friend
Do you only work with steel tubes or do you do aluminum as well? I wanna build a gate but not sure if i should spend the extra $ on steel
Hey Jimbo what kind flap disc do you use ?
Hey jimbo what kind of boots you wearing
Hey jimbo were you from ? I’m a high school welder and I’m pretty good with the mig and stick and I’d love to work for u or help u around your shop ? Keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻
nice build but i would have bolted the casters to the plates and added some height adjustment to them as having 6 legs your floor has to be perfectly level or it will rock, but look good.
I think the one big change I would personally make is to allow for the casters to be removeable
Sir.. what's the brand of your grinder?
Nice build. How big is your garage?
How good are the empire tools?
Hey Jimbo, can you make a video on how you sharpen your drill bits ? Greetings from Holland!
Will do. Thank you for watching -Jimbo
I jack mine up and put a new set under them. It's only money, you'll make more.
Turned out great.
Thank you - Jimbo
What time in the morning did you paint
Hey Jimbo being left handed and operating a power saw with your left hand you will always cop the sawdust in your face. Mikita did make a LH saw but it’s too odd to get used to. Keep up the videos. 👍
I have a lefthanded portercable. I'm righthanded, I got it to see the blade on the cut line better.
$25 per sheet of 5X5 Baltic Birch 3/4” (13ply) down here in San Diego. Love the cart. How much did it weigh? (Approximately)
Love this channel, I just started watching today! Did you also build your shop table?
I Believe its from weldtables.com
Looking good. How come you don't seem to use your fume extractor much anymore?
If I am doing a bunch of small welds I don’t bother I’ll just create good ventilation. I found it a pain to be moving it all over the place. However if I’m doing a bigger project I definitely use it to get all those gases out of there. Thanks for watching -Jimbo
The orange grinder?
Wait...you mean you have all those fireball squares and you STILL choose to use that yellow square thats really made for woodwork??? hhmmm idk about that one but hey, you do you right lol. Still liked the video!!!
Dear Jimbo! If I want a same table, how much money is that?
Pro tip. Re grease those bearings on the casters
Can I get a little more info about your plasma table please?
I got mine from Delusional Designs and I run an HTP plasma cutter with it. Thanks for watching - Jimbo
Hi Jim, I like your vids but do you think you could show more of the welding at actual speed instead of speeded up in your vids generally, I've seen your most recent vid 'Table Top Material Rests for Cut-Off Saw' & you showed quite a bit more in that one, I like that 👍 I'm a joiner & I do a bit of welding but still learning by trying to watch how the gun tip is moved & the speed of welding, I know this would add time as i make YT vids but for educational purposes i think that if the vid was a minute longer or what you have to cut out to make room would be a just sacrifice 👍 Thanks 👍
Damit Jim ! That's a big a$$ welding table! Do work son ! By the way, do you have those custom made bench dogs for sale yet ?
They ara comin -Jimbo
I am from India
good morning Jimbo.
why do you weld the wheels on the plate ? they had holes so you just had to drill 4 holes and srew them together, if you need te replace a wheel it's gonna suck. Other than that nice build
Bolts come loose. Welds don't. It'll be easy to grind it off.
when you have a welder, every problem is a weld. nuts and bolts, too slow. swapping wheels just takes a minute to grind off.
jonahim stalpaert - I agree! It’s not his table. The people who have the table aren’t gonna have a to a grinder to replace a caster.
@@LemonySnicket-EUC nylock nuts or spring washers and those casters wont come loose
Wouldn't need to drill either just program the holes into the plasma table
Way we ask how much was the customer charged? Total cost.
How much is this table
The price will vary based on make and options. 5k-30k all depends on what you plan on using it for. Thanks for watching. - Jimbo
Jimbo you wearing skinny jeans? LoL
You are faster than speed
I wish I was as fast as these videos. Thanks - Jimbo
Это дедушка чего он говорит Я не знаю но интересно как сварщику мне интересно был бы с ним работать
Fireball Tools
Нет-нет нужная вещь согласен👍молоток
Who is RD and why does he 'sux'? 🤣
Why does all your videos have "Like" and "Dislike"? Do a lot of viewers give you a thumbs down...so you hide them?
Dumb idea to weld the casters on.
Damn you are 60? You look like 45
Certain days I feels 60 certain days I feel 45 lol thanks for watching. - Jimbo
