10 fortify attack adds a flat 10% hit chance. Check Combat -> Chance to Hit on UESP It's not bad, but it doesn't add 10 damage to every combat hit. If you're a Wood Elf with: 50 marksman: 5 base + 25 major skill + 5 specialization + 15 race 50 agility: 50 base as a wood elf 50 luck (40 base + 10 from Attribute bonus) And 10 attack from Warrior Sign You can start with 91.25% chance to hit with Marksmanship from the get go, assuming 100% fatigue Starting enemies will have between 5% and 15% evasion so you would have 76.25% (91.25-15) chance to hit a regular humanoid and 86.25% (91.25-5) chance to hit a mudcrab which will feel pretty good. Going for 25 agility with the lover sign actually adds less chance to hit than 10 attack, and the 25 agility doesn't stack once you hit 100 agility because it adds 25 to your base, so you don't go to 125 with the lovers sign. You do benefit from agility in other ways though so it's probably still worth it to go lovers sign over warriors although if you want to maximize hit chance, warriors sign is the way to go.

Also in Balmora join the thieves guild. Then go to the watch tower where the Sword of Woe is sitting on a wardrobe with a guard next to it. Slap the guard and run out and pay the thieves guild guy to make the fine go away. When you go back in, the guard that chased you is downstairs and you can take the sword. For New players it's a good idea to save outside of the main entrance to Balmora. After doing that you can check all the crates around town , sometimes you can find really nice items from scrolls to weapons and soul gems. The warrior sign does not increase your damage in any way shape or form, it increases your chance to hit with every weapon by 10% Also worth noting the lady birthsign provides personality and fatigue since it’s giving fortifying buffs, (OpenMW causes this) it doesn’t increase hp gain on level up if it’s a fortify buff

You can create a save game and attempt to create potions. With every successful potion save and reload with any failed attempts. I found that while slightly tedious you can walk away with close to 30 thousand gold after selling everything.
Last tip , if a new player follows the western coast of Seyda neen there is a shipwreck and some crates in the water. One of the crates has a chance to spawn a silver long sword or short sword.

@@PTMG I've come to find there are so many ways to make this game easier, it doesn't really matter. All it takes is a little knowledge and experience and the world is your oyster.
I think that's only if you include tribunal shopkeepers. But also scamp trader buys (mostly) everything, and buys at 100% value. It's also like, right there. Very easy to get to. And it's also right next to the alchemy set you steal, and a guy who sells infinite ingredients. Mudcrab has 10k, but he is essentially useless since he is in the wild, and you will get interrupted every time you try to rest, and also has more limitations on what you can sell to him for all intents and purposes, scamp trader is the best, highest gold merchant.
if you don't include mournhold merchants, creeper is #4 on the list. #3 on the list if you remove the toddtest merchant that definitely doesn't count. When you remove the semi-useless mudcrab, he is #2. And #1 doesn't buy things for full price so who cares.
that's not a "best start" that's simply "game abusing almost cheating start" the most fun aspect of the game a world exploration for a new items/weapons/money is killed right from the begging with such attidute it's better just take jump scrolls and finish game in 5 mins
it's not supposed to be an "ultimate roleplaying experience guide" it's supposed to be a "best start" and in that regard, it delivers. I'd say getting the strongest weapon and mass riches at the beginning of the game is a pretty damn good start
no the games end is when you destroy dagoth ur and the heart of lorkhan there's still quests, there's still more gear to get, enchantments to make etc. etc. you can always make a new character once you get the hang of the basic mechanics of the game and navigating the world etc. and play the game "right" but it's not like I am using cheat codes here or anything It's literally just using alchemy, and selling the potions. and getting daedric weapons is pretty easy with or without this quest you are kinda just being dramatic for no reason here honestly
@@PTMG You're abusing game mechanics and exploiting bugs - and you're seriously trying to justify that as some kind of legitimate playstyle? The best you could say is "it's fun to be op right from the start for an easy playthrough, especially when you have finished the game 10 times already" - that would at least make some sense. But no, you're actually trying to pretend that this is a good way for a new player to experience their first playthrough. Ridiculous.
the games mechanics are the games mechanics how is it not legitimate to use the games mechanics? Nothing I did was a "bug" here, it's all just metagaming and in the context of most new players getting pushed away from this game due to its difficulty curve, yes, starting off on the best foot possible is a great way to get into this game, as it gets rid of the hardest part right off the bat, without outright cheating or using console commands gives the player more time to worry about learning the games mechanics, landscape/cities/guilds etc.- and less time to worry about getting killed by mudcrabs cause they made poor choices
This is a very meh and slow start. The kind someone new to the game would make. 1. Stealing is slow, I don't even bother taking stuff from the excise office, it's at most 600 and you'll be leaving Seyda Neen with at least 2k anyways. 2. Take fargoths ring as it's required for the tutorial, give it to him, then talk to the guy who wants you to find his stump, then run to where tarhiel falls and grab mushrooms along the way. On the coast near tarhiel is a dead tax man, grab his stuff then run towards Seyda Neen. In one of the shacks you'll first encounter is a dark elf that killed the tax man, kill him then report to the tax man. You don't have to give the initial amount you found this way. Climb up the light house and take the book at the top of the stairs and wait till 10pm for fargoth to do his dance and rob his stump. You can sell the tax mans ring and the book putting you to over 2k. Then go for the alchemy set and all vendors who sell ingredients in stacks of 5 or 10 restock those ingredients. Don't use the guy in caldera as it's his alchemy set you stole. Saidrith Mora imperial shrine has a guy who sells mats for fort int and fort stamina, and the dude with him sells fort health and personality mats. Enjoy being a god in 15 minutes. 3. Why would you sell the Orc armor if you said to pick medium armor? It's like the second best medium armor set in the base game. Light armor is the most superior early game, especially because of the dark brotherhood attack around your first 3 levels. (I always seem to get it at level 2.)
1. it's not that slow, and you aren't leaving seyda neen with 2k unless you steal 2. Not sure why you typed all this when I explained all this 3. Not everyone chooses medium armor, knowing where this expensive set is, and being able to sell it is still good knowledge
@@PTMG you didn't read what I put as my 2 is an explanation of how to leave Seyda Neen without stealing at all. You'll have around 2k. And you didn't cover half of what I put there. I'll give you the second part, but medium is generally bad and my point was in the same minute you talked about selling it but also how you should go medium because of how easy it is to buy as you're selling the second best set. Medium is so meh they took it out entirely in later games. Maybe I'm hung up on the "best start for beginners and advanced" part but this is definitely not optimal for either. You were also wrong on the sign as The Warrior sign only increases chance to hit by 1% per point and is the worst sign you can get. You get more chance to hit by getting the Agility from The Lover than you get from The Warrior and get Lovers Kiss on top of it.
All that takes just about as much time, if not more time, than just grabbing a bunch of stuff on your way out of the office, and looting the armor in the warehouse, and ironically your method still involves stealing lmfao
Also btw agility hit rate/evasion rate percentage is agility/5 (divided by 5) Lover gives 25 agility, 25/5=5 so you gain 5% hit chance with lover, vs the 10% hit chance from warrior. And lovers kiss is pretty much useless. It's far too easy to get paralyze spells/scrolls/enchanted weapons, to justify damage fatigue to self for 200 points, especially when the main goal here is hit chance.
10 fortify attack adds a flat 10% hit chance.
Check Combat -> Chance to Hit on UESP
It's not bad, but it doesn't add 10 damage to every combat hit.
If you're a Wood Elf with:
50 marksman: 5 base + 25 major skill + 5 specialization + 15 race
50 agility: 50 base as a wood elf
50 luck (40 base + 10 from Attribute bonus)
And 10 attack from Warrior Sign
You can start with 91.25% chance to hit with Marksmanship from the get go, assuming 100% fatigue
Starting enemies will have between 5% and 15% evasion so you would have
76.25% (91.25-15) chance to hit a regular humanoid
and 86.25% (91.25-5) chance to hit a mudcrab which will feel pretty good.
Going for 25 agility with the lover sign actually adds less chance to hit than 10 attack, and the 25 agility doesn't stack once you hit 100 agility because it adds 25 to your base, so you don't go to 125 with the lovers sign.
You do benefit from agility in other ways though so it's probably still worth it to go lovers sign over warriors although if you want to maximize hit chance, warriors sign is the way to go.

especially if you are a member of the mages guild this doesn't feel that unreasonable
@@PTMG I've come to find there are so many ways to make this game easier, it doesn't really matter. All it takes is a little knowledge and experience and the world is your oyster.
you the guy that's being racist on X?
Nope just being a realist
Thanks for coming to my channel though
Scamp trader isn't even top 5 in gold capacity iirc
I think that's only if you include tribunal shopkeepers.
But also scamp trader buys (mostly) everything, and buys at 100% value. It's also like, right there. Very easy to get to. And it's also right next to the alchemy set you steal, and a guy who sells infinite ingredients.
Mudcrab has 10k, but he is essentially useless since he is in the wild, and you will get interrupted every time you try to rest, and also has more limitations on what you can sell to him
for all intents and purposes, scamp trader is the best, highest gold merchant.
if you don't include mournhold merchants, creeper is #4 on the list. #3 on the list if you remove the toddtest merchant that definitely doesn't count.
When you remove the semi-useless mudcrab, he is #2.
And #1 doesn't buy things for full price so who cares.
that's not a "best start"
that's simply "game abusing almost cheating start"
the most fun aspect of the game a world exploration for a new items/weapons/money is killed right from the begging
with such attidute it's better just take jump scrolls and finish game in 5 mins
it's not supposed to be an "ultimate roleplaying experience guide" it's supposed to be a "best start" and in that regard, it delivers.
I'd say getting the strongest weapon and mass riches at the beginning of the game is a pretty damn good start
@@PTMG "getting the strongest weapon and mass riches" - is the game's end, not start
no the games end is when you destroy dagoth ur and the heart of lorkhan
there's still quests, there's still more gear to get, enchantments to make etc. etc.
you can always make a new character once you get the hang of the basic mechanics of the game and navigating the world etc. and play the game "right"
but it's not like I am using cheat codes here or anything
It's literally just using alchemy, and selling the potions.
and getting daedric weapons is pretty easy with or without this quest
you are kinda just being dramatic for no reason here honestly
@@PTMG You're abusing game mechanics and exploiting bugs - and you're seriously trying to justify that as some kind of legitimate playstyle?
The best you could say is "it's fun to be op right from the start for an easy playthrough, especially when you have finished the game 10 times already" - that would at least make some sense.
But no, you're actually trying to pretend that this is a good way for a new player to experience their first playthrough. Ridiculous.
the games mechanics are the games mechanics
how is it not legitimate to use the games mechanics?
Nothing I did was a "bug" here, it's all just metagaming
and in the context of most new players getting pushed away from this game due to its difficulty curve, yes, starting off on the best foot possible is a great way to get into this game, as it gets rid of the hardest part right off the bat, without outright cheating or using console commands
gives the player more time to worry about learning the games mechanics, landscape/cities/guilds etc.- and less time to worry about getting killed by mudcrabs cause they made poor choices
1. it's not that slow, and you aren't leaving seyda neen with 2k unless you steal
2. Not sure why you typed all this when I explained all this
Also btw agility hit rate/evasion rate percentage is agility/5 (divided by 5)
Lover gives 25 agility, 25/5=5 so you gain 5% hit chance with lover, vs the 10% hit chance from warrior.
And lovers kiss is pretty much useless. It's far too easy to get paralyze spells/scrolls/enchanted weapons, to justify damage fatigue to self for 200 points, especially when the main goal here is hit chance.
